Gotland island, Sweden - travel guide with history and natural attractions

Gotland is Sweden's largest island, being located about 90 km east of the Swedish mainland and about 130 km from the Baltic states, Latvia being the nearest. Visby is by far the most populated locality in Gotland. Gotland is one of Sweden's most noted tourist destinations. In this video I presented a short history of the island of Gotland, with a travel guide, including the natural landscape and the best places to visit.

I am surprised there is no massive airbase on this island. It's strategic location would make it into an outstand unsinkable aircraft carrier.

It already is. Swedish jets are designed to take of from ordinary roads, some smaller airbases do exist, for the military atleast
