Platinum selling Afrikaans singer and musician Zak Van Niekerk left behind an extensive, acclaimed catalogue of music. Notable for his hit songs 'Lekkerkry', 'Ramkat' , 'Lekker in South Africa' , 'Jantjie de Wet' and 'Borrels In My Bier' Zak Van Niekerk would go on to widespread National acclaim. Van Niekerk tragically passed away in 2012 in a vehicle accident on the way to the prestigious Klein Karoo National Arts Festival.
