THANK YOU!! ✌️👑
I hope this is a test to see if this kind of content will work on today's CZcams and that this video preforms well
You’re ABSOLUTELY spot on!
ARE THE OLD ROOTS COMING BACK?@@TheKingofRandom
Grant makes me amazingly happy to see
This fills my heart with joy!!
@@shellistanton5643 they definitely are. 🎉
Yes! Bring back Grant style videos; quality step by step, informative, concise and no nonsense. No better way to honor him.
Couldn’t agree more!
RIP Grant! You were not only the King of Random or the King of DIY but the King!
He does have little princes 🫅🏻. More to come!
Man playing this video and hearing that voice at the start brought back so many good childhood memories 😪
Hearing Grant's voice brought tears to my eyes. I miss the guy. He was such an inspiration. 😭
You’ll love what’s to come!
I remember watching this when it first came out. Backyard forging and blacsmithing wasn’t a common thing on CZcams. It was a great video then, it’s an even better video today. RIP Grant.
Watching this today im both happy and sad. Grant was a great escape for me during some really difficult years in my life. Whenever i was feeling blue id just watch some of his projects and lose myself in his creativity and passion. I still remember the day he died, rest in peace mate, thankyou for making mine and many others lives brighter than they otherwise would have been ❤
I've got to be honest, I don't think I watched a single video from TKOR after Grant sadly passed and the format changed completely. I stayed subbed this whole time to see what kind of videos were being made but seeing them in my feed, none of them really stuck out to me like any of the older ones did back in the day. If the format hadn't have changed so much, I probably would have continued watching. These DIY, fun projects anyone can probably do at home rather than these weird theory videos. Not trying to hate at all, I'm sure there is definitely an audience for that content, and it seems to be well made, but OG followers probably didn't stick around much.
Thank you for your comment. We definitely hear you on the format. We absolutely failed you. But there's a bright future for TKOR and I can't wait for you to see what we have coming.
Agreed, haven’t really tuned in and watched in a while
I’m in the same boat
Ditto
100%
This was the first invention I watched Grant work on!!! I was hooked after watching him put it together. I'm glad to see the channel thriving and the happy birthday recently was REALLY sweet and touching. You are all keeping his memory and legacy alive and I thank you all for doing it because Grant was truly a genius that left us too soon.
This makes a grown man cry 😢. Grant, we all love you!
This (the original) was the first TKOR video I ever watched, I was actually looking for info on a Minecraft Modpack called Feed the Beast and wanted to know how the smeltery mechanic works and how to melt metals in Minecraft, this video popped up and caught my eye. Things really snowballed from there. The mini metal foundry is what got me into metal casting and what got me started on CZcams. Years ago I would say that CZcams was just for funny videos, but the things I have learned and the skills I have acquired now... well Grant was a big part of the motivation for me to watch and try and learn.
This build video is what got my subscription in the before times. Miss you Grant.
I finally made one of these foundries with some friends just recently. I remember watching Grant's videos when I was a kid and wanting to do the same experiments as him but couldn't because I was just a kid. Now, years later, I'm able to look back at all of the awesome creations Grant and the rest of the tkor team made and actually create them myself. All those fun videos helped me learn about science and how things work as a kid and I am really grateful for that because of how much I can apply that knowledge today. Thank you
Rest in peace Grant. Miss these days of TKOR. Anyone else remember when Grant lost the original foundry because he forgot he turned it into the planter at the end of this video?
Ahhh this is how I found u guys back in the day
This is what we want to continue doing! Going back to the roots of what TKOR is all about
I hope to see more!!
I've been slowly starting a channel!! I am the wizard!!!!
This content from you guys and Kipkay were LEGENDARY back in the day! Absolute nostalgia seeing this format of video again. Rest well Grant, he was one of the GOATs… best of wishes to the family!! 🙏🙏
Hope the thompson family is doing great. Its cool to see this older revamped project to keep the views flowing. Hope someone can carry the channel into the future
We hear you! Excited for you to see what we have planned.
Always looked forward to seeing Grant in a new video.
May he rest in peace 🕊️
This is one of the first videos on the channel that I watched at least a dozen times.
I would love to see more of these kinds of innovative and amazing projects come back to the channel.
It also reminded me how much I still miss the soothing sound of Grant's voice. I hope his family is doing well.
More to come!
Mannnn this gave me serious nostalgia. I remember being 13-15 and wanting to do all his builds but not being able to. R.I.P Grant. Forever part of my childhood.
this brings back the good old days 🥲
didn’t think i’d get this sad hearing his voice, rip grant.
This was a great blast from the past. I had lost interest in the channel when Grant started to appear less and less in the videos, but when I'd heard of his passing about a year after the event, it hit hard. He made awesome videos and taught me a lot of very interesting things you could do with just basic household items. It was sad to hear about his passing, but glad to see the folks behind TKOR are still keeping Grant's memory alive and well.
This man’s voice brings me back. So many memories watching Grants videos. I remember i used to make his hair clip crossbows all the time.
RIP Grant,
Thank you for showing me there are no rules.
A childhood YT channel. Such nostalgia. Much love and God bless you Grant🙏🏻❤️💐
really really loved this! watched grant through some formative years, he’s so smart and creative. Functional innovation. rest in peace.
best value vs time tradeoff on youtube! That is what made his instruction and videos amazing!
I haven’t come back to this channel in years and this is the newest video Rip Grant (the king of Random
We will be seeing you more often, guaranteed! More NEW content coming your way.
I've made one of these and it works great. You can melt aluminum, brass, copper, table salt. Great item.

Love the Grant Style videos, i started watching when i was in middle school. Im in my 20s now, i still find myself rewatching Grants old videos for nostalgia. It would be amazing for that type of format to return, the newest 2 episodes have really been a step up towards Grants legacy
I absolutely love his random videos! My favorite build was the Hydrogen generator just because of how intricate it is and looks. Grant was an amazing builder and experimenter.
RIP to the King 👑
This was the first of his vids I saw. I miss him. RIP
This is the perfect format for TKOR, I think TKOR is back!

RIP King. Hearing his voice hits
Miss Grant. Long live TKOR
Long live the 👑
I made this back in middle school and this got me so excited to create
Although you can never replace Grant. I feel like his type of videos and the original feeling of the channel can be brought back. Sure his videos were simple compared to videos of today. But the thing about Grants videos were that you could feel the time and care that went into them.
Sure this channel has strayed away from what started it. But I do believe that if you harness Grants original formula and just make simple and easy to follow videos. This channel can come back to its former glory.
Hoping for the best! I believe in you guys.
Thank you so much for your comment. You hit so many great points. You’ll love what we have planned.
Grant was legandary! Love the way he spread his knowledge. A "teacher" at its finest! Loved watching this and hearing his voice again
Now this is the type of video I remember TKOR for !

WoW, the first king of random video I watched since 2019
I really hope to come back to this kind of content instead of kindergarten arts and crafts
This is what we want to see!!
Sad to say but if you guys would have stayed working on this kind of project i would still be an avid watcher
Love your comment. We definitely hear you. We have failed you but there's more to come. Let us make it up to you

RIP I remember building one of these
THANK YOU, JUST THANK YOU FOR THIS
First video I watched on his channel was just random on CZcams it was for making sugar rockets and I spent quite a bit of time making several versions of them then I watched his potato gun video and made a pretty good version but only it shot acorns. I didn’t know that he was in an accident and died I pray for his family and loved ones. RIP buddy. ❤
This is the TKOR i loved
This is the only TKOR I've ever loved... 💔❤🩹
Haven't watched TKOR since Grant passed. Figured I'd swing by and see where the channel's at. Shame to see it fall like it has. Grant should never have passed, but he died doing what he loved and I'm sure he was happy.
Gonna be interesting to see how the channel goes from here if there's going to be a return to its roots or not. If there is, I'm excited to see what's next
Its been years but grant will always be missed. We lost a true king
RIP Grant :(
We’ve come full circle lmao
so that is how he made it.
