Kyle just be googling while the guest talking to be the big guy for the show
Listening to these guys talk about any kind of tech, is like listening to Terrance Howard try to convince Rogan about his idiot beliefs.
Nah definitely not 😂 I at least enjoy listening to these idiots.
Trumps shark rant was hilarious
I think Resistance is the word you all were looking for.
As an Electrical Engineering student this is kind of painful to watch.
3:55 yes woody. Thats why 500ah at 12v is way bettwr than 230/240v at 13+ amps, you dont have alternating current
AC vs DC isn't the reason for this; the reason is that at 12V a battery can only deliver a few hundred micro-amps of current to dry skin which has a resistance of about 100k Ohms (amps = volts / ohms) while 230 to 240 V can deliver several milliamps of power to your skin and the high voltage can damage your skin and lower the resistance even further causing more than 20x the current delivery from the 12V source. Power is voltage times amperage, so this would mean you are getting more than 400x the power through your body from 240V than you would get from 12V (wall electricity is usually 120V in the US, which still can drive 100x the power that 12V can). AC can be more dangerous since it can cause your muscles to twitch which makes letting go of the source harder, but this is kind of only an issue if the voltage is high enough to cause muscle contractions which on dry skin would be hard for 12V to do.
Tesla just didn't understand Edison's American humor.
Kyle previously said he doesn't care about animals going extinct unless it effects him, now he's saying he's upset that elephants were killed.
He must like elephants ig
He just likes em I guess probably feel the same but with bears they be chilling
common psychosis brain way of thinking, all that weed got him clouded in his thoughts
He doesn't like when animals are killed just he doesn't wanna take direct action to protect an entire species.
Far from defending Kyle, I feel similar. A type of bird or elephant going extinct is different that shocking an elephant to death to prove a false point.
My autism is being triggered by the inaccurate explanation of electricity…. TLDR: AC in the wall goes through things easier at lower voltage and DC has more resistance at the same voltage. Also “ it’s the Amps not the voltage” is bullshit. Watts and the power limit is the mainly important thing.
lol... watts and power limit? so exactly what wattage will kill me? wtf is a "power limit" anyways? amps and voltage are equally important... if the voltage isn't high enough to overcome the resistance of your skin then it doesn't really matter how many amps you have... 500A at 1V = 500W... 1A at 500V = 500W.... which of these would you rather touch? I know which one I'm choosing, because one will kill you, and one will do absolutely nothing. there is also the matter of frequency when talking about AC voltage. hopefully this triggers your autism to do some reading......
Your comments about wattage are partially correct, something with very low max power output can have a hard time doing much damage. On the other hand, at 12V and 600A a car battery can put out 7.2KW which is a ton of power, but your dry skin's resistance prevents it from flowing since the voltage is low. For that matter I could line up 1000 car batteries in parallel which could theoretically put out 7.2MW (or about 10 thousand horse power) and touch the two terminals and be fine, because the voltage would still only be 12 V. Power sources no matter how powerful can only put out as much power as the voltage of the source and resistance of the load allow (the exact relationship is Power = Volts^2 / Resistance). To complicate this equation though, high voltage can damage skin and make it more conductive quickly allowing for more power to be delivered to your tissue. The comments about AC vs DC are completely wrong. AC and DC will go through things roughly as well at a given voltage--at high frequencies (much higher than the 60Hz from walls) AC actually faces more difficulty traveling through media. AC and DC have different risks since AC will make your muscles twitch due to voltage oscillations while DC will just make them contract, the muscle twitch from AC can make letting go of the current source harder.
Woody will make ANY topic about Trump oh my god
Just about to leave the exact same comment. Lol
😂 like how the magats say ‘bidens America’ every time they stub a toe
I've been hit with 250VDC, 277AC, 240AC, and 120AC. 250DC is by far the most painful.
The issue with nuclear problems is not entirely the core overheating, that is only a portion of the accidents. The overarching concern is radioactive material breaching containment. Sticking a reactor in the ocean that is completely open to the water would be an excellent way to ensure any reactor accident is virtually assured to cause way more ecological damage and damage to human health than it would have otherwise. Sincerely a nuclear metallurgist.
Small time nuclear physics guy, when Kyle went on that rant it actually hurt my soul. Is there a way to make it possible and effective? Technically? yes. Practically? Absolutely never
Nuclear submarines must keep you up at night
@@robertdeforest9682 Honestly? Yeah 😂
@@robertdeforest9682 notice how I said "open to water", even a nuclear submarine uses pumps to push cooling water through the reactor. It's cooled almost identical to the ones on land, but even so it's still well shielded to prevent radiation from contaminating the crew or environment. Not to mention the reactor are significantly smaller than a full power plant that supplies energy to the grid.
No. The main reason why it don't matter if it's under water or not is simply due to the Leidenfrost effect.
So basically, when at a certain manageable range of operating temperatures the rods etc can be kept cool fine with water.
But... once they run away and get too hot... then you have issues. They get so hot that they boil the water before the water can even touch and cool them. It then creates an ever expanding steam gas bubble around the rods and the water cools even less and less as the cloud gets bigger.
You can test this and see it happen when you drop water drops on a super hot skillet. It will dance around and never actually touch the skillet.
Wendigoon needs to do the holocaust conspiracy theory
Damn, I wish they were smart enough to think to hold their breath when thinking if oxygen smells
DC might be the safest of the two but I promise you getting hit by 24V DC is worse than 120/240V AC.
As a mechanical engineer, Chris's understanding of electricity and material science is almost painful to hear. Woody should understand voltage and current; probably just wanted ti let Chris talk.
Shut up Kyle you're ruining the show
People like you were screaming and crying about how he did nothing but get high and say nothing not even a year ago now hes gotta shut up?
@@npc1172 it's a joke bud relax
@@bloomrage621 wheres the joke carlin?
@@npc1172 I was referencing the last episode where Kyle told the guest to stop interrupting because he was ruining the show.. Einstein
@@npc1172 that getting high and shutting up was way better. Kyle is easily the worst part of the show and he is worse than woody at talking over people or cutting people off mid sentence. All though I do find it kinda funny how he tries to appear as some smart dude with a wide variety of knowledge when things like the trivia contests reveald how stupid he actually is. Dude just googles things and reads them out loud like he is an expert in the matter.
Tesla is a bum
