Brock Purdy is a very similar prospect to Alex Smith. He has great accuracy, good football IQ, ok outside of the pocket, good at reading defenses, ok when it comes to athletic ability, and has a low turnover percentage. He’s not a Patrick Mahomes or an Aaron Rodgers who can make plays on the fly and improvise, but he is a solid QB.

Ya, everything he is doing for the Niners is right here on his college tape. Not a size/speed/strength guy and going to a non-football power school cost him money...but look where he is now. This also gives me hope for his future. He's not doing anything different than college-he just has a better team around him.

He didn’t go to the draft yet he’s still playing for Iowa state and he’s only a junior this year

@@ightimmaheadout290 He's not that short although is below average for the prototypical QB. His arm is not that weak (noticeably better than Jimmy G who has been a mid tier QB and will be a starter for most of his career, Drew Brees' arm was a noodle for many years at the end of his career yet he was still pretty decent), more than good enough for nearly every type of NFL throw. There are many other metrics that are more NFL valuable yet scouts don't care.

In an interview, it was said that brock purdy was declined by nick saban because he was too short and cant throw- pretty much nick saban dismissed him because he can. He had a hard time getting accepted so he joined Iowa State.
