I always thought this is a lame, young hardcore ban. Apparently it's actually one of the best bands I've heard AND pretty old in the genre. So happy I had the courage to find out ^^

How the fuck does it affect the music how long ago the band was formed or what country is it's origin. If someone lied you those facts would your favorite band turn into worst one? As much as I love the really old stuff, My Sweet Shadow, Come Clarity and Alias are absolute belters. I remember seeing them at Hellfest and those songs just gave me chills. Wish I could go back to then, it was an amazing show

I was never a fan of the quiet place but that album is very good. They finished the show in France with My Sweet Shadow and so many fireworks. It was amazing

It's hard to make a greatest hits list with a band with 11 albums worth of quality music. I tried adding just two or three of my favorite songs from each album to my iPod and i still ended up with around 30 songs lol.

I only wish there were more clean vocals used, because I came here from an AMV that featured one of their songs and the clean vocals were haunting, and downright beautiful.
And here, the instrumentation is awesome, blending delicate sounding acoustic/clean guitar parts with chugging, distorted guitar chords.
Putting them together with the clean vocals I've heard would be chilling.
Saying that though, I have to say the screamed/growled vocals do fit pretty damn good regardless so it's not so bad, I do still wish they'd do the clean vocals more though, because if a song can actually make me shiver, it's a damn good song.
The quiet place was in the AMV, it's fucking haunting. More of that, please ^_^
+Ethan Donnelly Look up their more recent albums, their style has shifted quite a bit towards cleaner vocals and melodies easier on the ears than their earlier work. From your description, I think you should like the albums Siren Charms (2014) and Sounds of a Playground Fading (2011). There's definitely a few haunting songs on there! (The Attic, for example, is not that popular but oh so good).
