  • This is a run through of repairing a badly leaking Toyota JZ power steering pump. I didn't want to call it a "rebuild" because the only wear item I replaced was the bearing.

    Slider thing is a flow control valve.

      @@dimartinofabsgarage8611 yea and every be careful putting it in first before the spring lol. I had to use the hose off the battery tray, stuffed it up in the hole and it grabs onto it. Lmao. 1 hr later

    Great job. But may I ask a question? When the price of the pump (Likely OEM or 3rd party) is only twice the seal kit, why not buy a pump and replace it as is? Isn't that a lot easier?

      It is for sure! If I had been able to find a high quality replacement at the time, I likely would have gone that route.
