I saw a couple of 25 footers recently that had their fruits hanging to the ground on the long flower stalks. Really looked neat. I believe this has the largest inflorescence of any palm species.

LOVE OF PLANTS 🌻 Yes, they are amazing and touch the ground. I just trimmed back a bunch of plants to give this guy more sunlight.

Paul thanks for the info on the mexican blue fan palm. I live in Las Vegas and have one I bought probably 10 years ago. It is beautiful and probably 12 feet tall and doing really well. Question... Would you recommend skinning this type palm??? I just did my 6 California palms and they look great. Just don't want to do anything to harm the mexican blue. Thanks.

I would only cut the dead branches. I planted mine in a shady spot, so I'm forced to be extra patient with this plant. As a kid, I was lucky and traveled throughout most of Baja, CA. I've seen these palms in bloom and they are magnificent. Keep any energy towards growth and reproduction in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

They are not cheap. I bought this one about 12 years ago and it was both small and expensive. Good luck!
