Glad you got to see the eclipse JT, here in VT it was a total eclipse and it was really cool.
Got a purifiable Hundo Bellsprout, which I did purify. Not to exciting, probably, but I actually have a shadow-hundo and a purified-hundo vileplume, which is why I wanted oddishs counterpart as well^^
I managed to see the full eclipse unfortunately it was cloudy but in breaks I was able to see it also during the eclipse I managed to get a hundo onix from research
I did insane with this event I somehow got 6 shiny wailmers a shiny bronzor 2 shiny wimpods and 2 shiny mantines the shinys were definitely boosted

There was a semi total eclipse in Toronto (98% coverage) and that was one of the craziest experiences of my life I unfortunately didn’t get to see it because it was overcast but it went completely dark like it was nighttime the streetlights even came on

I got to experience the the total eclipse yesterday with around 2 minutes of totality in Austin. We were lucky enough to get a break in the clouds for long enough to see, and it was spectacular.

Got a wild 100% Shiny Bagon on Com Day! My first Shundo!!
I did 996 Wimpod checks and never got the shiny. But did I get a huge Celesteela a hundo then got the shiny. Also got shiny Kartana and a tiny one. I'm not hopeful, but fingers crossed for shiny Wimpod during the Bug Out event! 🤞
No Wailmer, Cutifly, or Wimpod. 200 plus checks and/or catch’s. Been grinding like crazy. On caught an onix.
I did get the Wimpod Shiny after hundreds of checks and research, but my auto catcher got the win for me today I also got 4 wailmers

Nope they were boosted in the wild as well. Just had a better shot at good IVs through research

I did get a XXS Bagon (non shiny) on CD classic that I renamed Bilbo Bagon. XD
I didn’t go to totality for the eclipse, but my area got 98.87% totality, so that was pretty cool too.

That snorlax never shine on my screen, snorlax been avoiding me all this time
Shiny rates were definitely NOT boosted. I clicked every Wailmer, Mantike and Wimpod I saw and the only shiny I got for the entire event was a shiny Pidove. I think Niantic is expert at bait and switch.
Even if rates are boosted you still aren’t guaranteed to get the shinies easily.
@RuanAntunes7 no, its not guaranteed. But when they put in the post "shiny boosted" which is (1/64-1/125) amd you get nothing, ita definitely feels like a bait and switch.

This festival is celebrated for those people who are Islam marked the end one month fasting Ramadan.
Why don't have Pokemon Go event about Eid al- Fitr?
In my opinion, Pokemon Go look a bit like a gamble which is banned in Islam. You may encounter a shiny Pokemon, you encounter a good iv Pokemon and you may successfully caught a Pokemon, all these depends on your luck and looks like gamble.
Besides most of Niantic top management people may be Christian. Christian will not get involved about Islam festival so no in game event about Eid al-Fitr.
