Naruto hears about Jiraya's death which hits him really hard. He tries to overcome the huge loss, but even as time passes/has passed it's proven a lot harder than he thought and he realizes that the pain will never disappear.

There is a reason this has been in my playlist for years. It perfectly portrays the weight of his death on Naruto and all of us as well. I know he was my favorite character, and when he died i cried like a baby. This story hits home for me in a big way. I have lost an older brother and 2 best friends. All whom loved anime and introduced it to me. I like to think they are watching with me over my shoulder. Yes, The pain never goes away.
I was sobbing throughout the entire series of Naruto. Naruto broke my heart it was so sad and beautiful and it just..there were too many feels!!
Jiraya, and Orochimaru, two rivals like Sasuke and Naruto... Both of them are dead now... The last member of their old team is Tsunade. Once she is gone their team will be gone from existance, but their essence will remain forever in the people's hearts of the ones they became close to. Rest In Peace Jiraya, you died a honorable shinobi death. Your Memory Will Not Be Forgotten.

I remember watching this video about 3 years ago. To this very day, I'm more then joyful then ever to see how many views this fantastic video received. My friend read the manga and told me that Jiraiya died. I did want to believe him. A couple of months later I saw this video and I couldn't stop crying. I didn't wanna accept his death.....then I wanted him to come back, I thought maybe they can reanimate him! But you need the body.... I finally accepted his death after 2 months of the show continuing without mention of Jiraiya... Then again I watched this video an noticed in the beginning that Jiraiya's purgatory-self touched Naruto. And I finally accepted he was gone. Then cried for like a week haha. Everyone will miss Jiraiya, all the life lessons he taught us and that all it takes to do just about anything is sometimes just sheer will power and guts. You will be missed but never forgotten Pervy Sage.
I'm a Naruto fan...my heart shattered when he got killed off...holy smokes I shed few tears that's when this anime got in touched with me...animes like that makes me proud to be an Otaku

I love this so much. I keep it not only because I love Naruto but I also love the song and it fits what is going on. I cried too.

Everytime I remember Jiraiya and Naruto's bond I cry like a baby. You'll be missed pervy sage, the show won't be the same without you. Poor Jiriaya, he's in heaven chatting it up with the Third, writing stories and harassing the female angels.

Iruka's still here. Even when Naruto becomes stronger and it seems he doesn't need him, Iruka is still there. He will always be there for him.

Jiraiya was and will always be my favourite! Why is it always the great and uniqe peoples that dies? It was the worst time of the serie when Asuma and Jiraiya died. You did a perfect job capturing Narutos sadness and his memories! Keep up the good work!

Oh My God.... this is the best tribute to Jiraya i have ever seen.
Every time I see someone die in Naruto.. Someone who's nice and who I like.. I feel a pain in my heart. First of all, because it's sad that they have to disappear from the anime and to see the feelings portrayed. Second. I know how it feels to lose comrades,.. Family. Always hurts. So it reminds me of this pain, the void dark hole in my chest and the tears that streamed down my face. They will always be in my heart and I will meet them again!

This is my favorite anime series of all time. Jiraya was one of my most beloved characters. I miss him so much. My heart broke when he died and shattered when Naruto found out. I never though something like this would come to mean so much to me but it really does. I feel like I know them all and it hurts whenever one of them dies. Rest in peace Pervy Sage.

Naruto means alot of things for alot of different people, with different ways and tolerance of what they share and what they feel. I can understand why he or she shared it, even tho I wouldnt do it myself. Naruto does however bring comfort, stability, inspiration, new energy on a bad day and the undying spirit to never give up no matter what.
I know how he feels it hurts to lose someone you care for. Made me cry..

I will allways cry with naruto, and more with the death of jiraiya. He remainds me my lose about my grandpa... he was a hero for me, more than a grandpa he was my best friend.

If you noticed..Naruto changed, for the first time, really and completely, bacause of Jiraiya's death. He became adult, he understood many things that made him grow (pain, loss, life that goes on, acceptance of death) and he started getting really strong only after that. He started being more serius, wiser and cooler. In my opinion, the death of jiraiya signed the limit between the Old Naruto/Naruto Before, and the New Naruto/Naruto After. (Hope you understood, damn my bad english)

No Anime has ever made me cry as much as this one has. Not many Anime are as deep as this one and can draw you into it so well and make you fall in love with the characters so much. I still cry like a baby just THINKING about Jiraya's death! Also, Masashi Kishimoto has created some major heroes out of these characters; Naruto is my hero who I am inspired to be like!

Death. A border that divides us from our dreams and hopes. A border that divides us from our loved ones. A border that is hard to cross .A border that we wish doesn't exist . A border that all of us must cross one day. Someone's death causes pain. Causes tears that might go on forever . Causes sleepless nights. All of our crying will not get them back. I truly miss Jiraya he was an awesome guy . Maybe a pervert but when it came to power and teaching jutsu he was the man RIP JIraya :(

I agree, but the saddest part is that Jiraiya had to die in order for Naruto to understand how important the comming battles were. Until his death Naruto was too concerned about Sauske. To focus on the pain and death around him. After all its hard to truely understand pain if you have never really experienced it yourself.
