- This video contains ALL Estus Shard locations, ALL Undead Bone Shard locations, at least 12 Titanite shards, Large Titanite shards, Titanite Chunks and also 2 Titanite Slabs.
The goal of this video is to make the game easier for newer souls players whilst still letting you do the bulk of exploration and overcome bosses all on your own. The game is easy enough for a player of any skill level to be able to complete it WITHOUT summons or cheese, as long as you keep picking up all of the upgrade materials and make sure to keep using them as soon as you can.
If you are following this on your first playthrough, I encourage you to try and find the items for yourself first! After you get to the boss of an area, you can come back to this video to see if you got all of the key items and go back for any you missed.

Thank you for watching! Please consider subscribing, and if you would like this kind of guide for another game, feel free to reply to this comment to let me know! :)
I remember being very frustrated when DS3 first came out and I never thought I would be able to beat any of the souls games, but this guide really helps me beat it. Thank you!!!
Really, going back from DS3 to DS1,2, they seem more easy. Because they have more slow and strategic battles, while in DS3 and above it's all spectacle fighting and never ending compo attacks. I don't know if I play more DS3 whether I will get used to it, but going back to DS1 or even the DS2 that everyone things is jank and I am having more fun than this.
Another advise I can give; with most builds you can use the dark axe you get from the mimic pretty much untill undead settelment. That way you dont have to spend ur titanite if the weapon you want to use is not a starting one c:
was super helpful got stuck at abyss watchers and decided to restart and it went by so much smoother
glad to hear it's going better now! :)
This was the best video I've seen simple helpful and right to the point thank you man!!!
No problem, thank you for watching!
0:03 thank you for the transparency bro 😂, very helpful guide. I will try everything you pointed out next time I enter the game.
This is an amazing video I’m happy people are still making dark souls 3 content
Aa a certified new player to the series of last month....
1) Pyromancer is OP. It's DS3 on easy mode because 90% of the time you dont even need to learn an enemies movesets.
Great Chaos Fireball, and Black Flame Orb for anything that resists fire. You can beat almost anything before it even gets in range. I rarely used melee weapons (only against dogs/wolves). Both pyro rings + Lloyds Sword Ring + Fire Clutch Ring/Dark Clutch Ring
2) Parry and Backstabs (hard to master but once you get the timings down they do loads of damage)
btw bro very nice vid. I like your editing and your voice 10/10 would watch fromsoft related videos again
thanks a lot for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm currently working on a BG3 video but the video I have planned after that will be back to fromsoft :)
you can kill the dancer then farm the lothrics knights outside the boss gate fortianitre shards and large titanitsand chunks is thelothrics knights after the dancer
that was some strong starting words
THANK you so much, this guide was what I needed!!!! now my +10 Souldering Iron will carry me through the game!!! thank you Big Bart of youtube fame.
try attack but hole
@@bigbart_attack the butt hole?
absolutely, best way to beat vordt
@@bigbart_😂
Cheers sir, for this guide. Never played Ds3, after grabbing for half price in jan with both dlcs. I just finished bloodborne, this is next today ha.
I'm sure you'll enjoy!
Bro I'm going to try this out, thanks for the video. I beat every game but I'd hate to replay ds3 due to every weapon doing shit damage. Now I'll try it out again thanks to you
no problem! hope you enjoy your playthrough
I put off playing Dark Souls for many years just because of its reputation. Currently on my first playthrough here, using the Twinblades, and I'm just surprised at how easy the game becomes. Did many of the supposed hardest bosses in one or two tries. I almost feel like I have to replay the game with a different build, just to get a harder challenge.
Winblades are causl. Embrace Bonk Stick
Twinblades are actually crazy OP against bosses.
First playthrough and was just playing with the default Axe. I upgraded that one and never thought of all the other jank I was collecting. Second build, after seeing a speedrunner destroying everything with the dual wielding blades of another class, I started with this one. They can be more effective and with dex, even if my axe shows more damage total in the original build. But I mainly focused on increasing vigor and endurance on this one. Really, game doesn't let you play other builds as easilly. I am getting destroyed anyways, enemies are too fast and spam 6 combos or more, totally miscominucating their moves, like I don't know when to attack. But anway, with certain weapons and starting build strategies the second run seemed a bit easier.
the axe shows more damage per hit, but if you're using the special L1/LB attack of the twinblades, you're hitting more than the number on the tooltip shows and the attack is faster than the axe.
learning to dodge when you first start out is definitely challenging, but you will eventually get the hang of it and the game will become easy. Dark souls 3 definitely does have some annoying mobs though no doubt, it's just a case of learning and remembering their attack patterns which can only come with time.
Good video, thank you!
no worries, enjoy your playthrough :)
Majula theme is already enough to make me sub. And btw, I also need like 20 attempts for the Treejump every Playthrough 🤣
Regardless of what anyone thinks about ds2 as a game, nobody can deny majula is a goated hub area
True@@bigbart_
A very informative video thank you very much
taking every titanite and estus shard turn all the bosses so easy that i never died more than 3 times in any boss
This is the best video for new players. It was so simple to follow. I just beat Yhorm!!!! Any tips for the other souls game?? I’ve only beaten Elden ring before 😅
Thank you! If you managed to beat ER, you already have what it takes to beat the rest! one tip i can offer for when you get around to it - the black knight weapons in dark souls 1 do quite insane damage, such as the black knight greatsword or halberd, but they’re an RNG drop. You can increase your % chance to get them by using humanities before fighting the knights, but be careful as you lose them if you die!
9:12 that MGS3 reference 💀
Ive justed started last night 😂now time for my youtube to be flooded with ds3 content ❤
the algorithm will treat you nicely i'm sure
Hilarious intro 👍
Goated dude im in 😂❤
Thanks for watching, happy to have you!
Andre the giant is the most moking name they could have given andre
his official name MAY be Andre of Astora but we'll never know
yo, why did you not utilize the wolfs greatsword u can get from the covenent and put it on your back for more consecutive hit damage
personally i prefer having grass crest shield on my back for more stamina regen, plus the wolfs greatsword is heavier which means you end up with worse armor to avoid fat rolling, though it's definitely also a good option!
Thank you ashen one
no problem ashen one
Just did this and made the game so enjoyable. If you could share some stats at the end of the game it would be appreciated! Also what kind of rings you rock?
Usually some combination of: Ring of Favor, Cloranthy Ring, Estus ring, Havel's ring, Carthus milkring, Pontiff's right eye
Damn I went through like half the game without using the undead bone shards. Kinda late, but better late than never lmao.
damn you must have been chugging that estus flask like crazy
Beautiful vid and ur funny, will be coming back to this vid a lot
Thank you very much, i’m glad you like it!
I just started DS3 this week.
Man, I wish I knew about all of this at the start!
@@RishPanjeetJr u practically are at the start
As rule of thumb I dump ALL my souls till i get 20 vig, and THEN i start with dex and endurance. Twinblades so broken you probably wont need to upgrade and up dex untill farron
spamming vigor early is definitely one of the ways to go, especially if you're making use of resins too
Sheeeeeit- I can’t jump because I’m a knight! I can only roll😔
No jumping on top of Firelink shrine for me 😳
any class can jump! press in the left joy stick while sprinting
@@bigbart_ 😍😍😍😍😍😍
do i use the fire gem that you get at the end of undead settlement?
if you’re using the sellsword twinblades and levelling up mainly dex, the sharp gem will do more damage than the fire gem. plus, there’s some enemies that are resistant to fire damage, making the fire gem even weaker sometimes!
@@bigbart_ cool thanks for the reply I was struggling with the cursed greatwood on another character thats why I was asking but it was easy with this build
9:12 "What a thrill"
Those who know, know 😅😅😅
Sorry did the same lousy jumping as you from the tree!
That intro😂🔥🔥🔥subbed
I’m glad you liked it! thank you :)
I googled it 😢, great video btw😅
i tried to warn you - sorry about your eyes
Anyone know a good weapon for a strength build you can get early to level up? I went with the knight class
I recommend Exile Greatsword, you can get it in the area after undead settlement, and it does a lot of damage if you put a heavy gem on it.
for a beginner how much vigor and dex should i up with this build in the first 30 levels?
In the first 30 levels, I'd probably suggest getting to 20 vigor, 20 endurance and then dumping the rest of the levels in dex, which should take you to around 27 dex.
If you find yourself dying too quickly, you could go for even more vigor, but it starts to get diminishing returns (less HP gained per level used) after you reach 26 vigor, so I wouldn't start to level up vigor higher than around 30 until you reach the dex softcap, which is 40 with the twinblades + sharp gem.
what an intro
It won't let me upgrade my Estes flask at the start I've got everything in your video but I'm not sure why
does it give an error? you may have missed the ashen estus flask right at the start, or you may be missing the estus shards to upgrade with
@bigbart_ yeah I was missing the ashen flask lol thanks for the vid anyway
happy prime week
amazon loves the lgtb community
How do you attack with the dual blades?
Once you're dual wielding using Y/Triangle, hit LB/L1 to use both at the same time!
@@bigbart_ ohhh didn’t know, in Elden Ring L1 is for parry only and L2 special attack
You can have the best weapon but if your reflects and have no skills you will still have a horrible time with these games lol like me
pls make a vid like this abt demon souls 😭
So im going to assume this is better than the greatsword..
If you mean the weapon called just ‘Greatsword’ then yes, the twinblades are much higher DPS. but, if you like the play style of bigger weapons, there’s some greatswords that are also quite good - i recommend the Astora Greatsword or the Exile Greatsword
So I DON'T HAVE to kill the lizard at the beginning? Xdd oh...
you do not have to, it's purely optional :D
You don’t but I would definitely recommend you do because you get a lot more souls giving you a head start leveling up.
I didnt even kniw there was a lizard
Bro how do i two hand a weapon idk how
Y button on xbox controller, Triangle on PS controller, F on keyboard
I level what i want because im a god at dark souls games
understandable have a good day
Where is the ladder at so I can skip abyss watchers
the ladder with the 2 large titanite shards is opposite from the big door which opens when you light the 3 flames before abyss watchers - but if you want to skip abyss watchers and come back to them later, you'll need to go back to road of sacrifice and explore the area there - you'll know you're going the right way when you fight the crystal sage - keep going past him and you'll find a different area :)
LEARN TO PARRY. This skill will save you against a lot of enemies even bosses.
Except, parry frames of medium shield are notoriously awfully synced in ds3, and poise system gives you very few reasons for learning them.
Dont you take some damage when you parry? Thats why i dont like using it. Id rather dodge and take no damage. Unless im mistaken and you only take damage while holding block.
You don’t need parry at all when shielding and roll is so broken. Why risk missing it? There’s so many unparryable bosses and you’ll die a few times learning the parry windows.
@@itsmystic9075 if you mistime the parry, you’ll still take partial damage. You’ll lose no health if you parry at the right time
@@zacharylower8846 my god your actually a life saver. Welp time to grind and figure out how to parry correctly.
Does naming your character “easy mode” make the game easy?
No lol
9:14 snake !!???!!??
SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!!
I cannot for the life of me find the lizard at 14:54
It's on the platform, above the giant where his arms rest :)
Ahhhhh that's right! Thanks so much
The reason why the Mercenary is the best build for NEW PALYERS is because of the Twinblades...I mean, I've played over a hundred playthroughs of DS3, and I doubt that having an OP weapon is enough to make a NEW player's life easy.
OP this and OP that...why are people so obsessed with OP weapons...it's not the weapon that can get you through the game - it's your play style...LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME the way you play it, not how others tell you to play.
The game will be easier for a new player if they're using a weapon that deals more damage - the faster they kill the boss, the less attacks they have to dodge.
That's the entire purpose of this guide - show you how to get the most OP weapon, WITHOUT explaining how to dodge/when to attack, so you can figure out your playstyle for yourself.
@pchykins6680 if one knows just the basic mechanics of the game an op weapon will get him through not just the base game but dlcs too no matter how much of a newbie he is.Besides by copying first he can eventually discover his own playstyle.Dont see anything wrong with copying someones playstyle and an op weapon. That is no matter what you say,the easiest route a newbie can take
Google Pump-a-Rum. What's wrong with a cute harpy girl?
a lot as it turns out
I wish I didn't 3:16
I tried to warn you!
Yeah, easy mode lol
