Barbee was my childhood skateboard hero. Ban This was the video. Later in life I discovered his music. Now I find out he also enjoys photography. This guy is so talented. And he is a delight to listen to.
Very very cool. Interesting dude! I agree with the other guy that said you should show a few pieces of his work here and there throughout the interview.
Skateboarding is the closest thing humanity has to preserving young age 😆 for real tho think about how good all the old skaters look for their age (although there are still the ones who had their vices and you can see it) most of them look a good 10 to 20 yrs younger.
Never heard of Ray Barbee, but I'm glad I got to know him through his interview. He's very candid on his own approach towards photography, also the question you asked were introspective and thoughtful. Your video content is high quality, it almost feel like I was a HBO docu-series. I'm going to keep digging through your archives.
Awe, this means a lot to me! This year has been REALLY hard for the interview series but I’ve got some zoom interviews coming out in January and plan on getting back out there for “in person” interviews once it’s a possibility again. Thanks for the love 🙏
This is incredible. I could listen to Ray ramble on and on about photography and music for hours.
This deserves way more views and likes. Love his precision with language.

Pure inspiration. Thanks Dave, and thank you Ray.
Good stuff. Ray was always one of my favorites.
This is just mega. One of my favourite skaters talking about photography and music.
Mr. Barbee, you are a gift to us all street photographers.
Love Ray, he's so inspiring!
