Later her bribing the members of the court and their wives only solidified the emperor's suspicion. Jia never learned to 'read the room'. At one point her son asked who had calculated against them. Jia answered the empress. She had just got caught by her own plans. Jia would have been better off not pushing so hard and just let her son succeed by his own merits.
At the starter she seems smart and cunning woman, probably because of Zhenshu was with her 😅😅 After Lixin become her head maid, she started to make open mistake like you said 😂😂

Did they really think Ruyi would not fight back after being framed the first time? Their scheme might have worked if they had picked ANYONE except the high priest/monk. Jia apparently didn't believe in Buddhism and therefore didn't realize how hard it would be for people to believe he would have a cardinal relationship.
Jia’s downfall was unfortunately a good indicator of how little Qianlong actually cared for Ruyi and only thought of himself. Ruyi suffered being framed by Jia multiple times and even lost a child because of Jia’s pet (which was in truth done by Ling, but that’s besides the point here). Jia was only punished temporarily and always came back to her old titles to save face with the Yu clan. However, Qianlong is threatened by a potential assassination due to Jia’s scheming for Yongcheng, and only then does he finally dispense with her. He should have done that ages ago based on what she did to Ruyi, but there was always something more important or whatever. His character is truly despicable in this drama.
@@AnhPham-ld1cz He let the murder of his children and framing of the concubines happen almost like accepted practices. The only time he dealt harsh/permanent punishments is when he was the victim.
I am an American and fell in love with Yanxi Palace.. was freaking awesome and my first Chinese drama.. Now trying to watch Ruyi.. Why the hell am I so confused? This is the same emperor? Same time frame.. ? Totally love the set design and all the actors and actresses.. just very confused.
It is the same emperor and the same time frame, but the main characters are different, but both are plots that have changed according to history and are not completely in line with history
I was in the same boat as you. But also realized it’s initially set several years BEFORE Yanxi Palace. Just before the Emperor inherits the throne. They’ve also changed the main focus character. It’s interesting that there’s still some of the same archetype characters and that some are the same as the other drama series: scheming Gao Clan wife, lowly maid who rises into and high in the harem, first Empress’ sons dying but both times changed from historical how they died, and more. I keep meaning to look up which series was made first. But so caught up in binging I haven’t taken the time to look yet. LOL
The 4th son was the one shooting the arrows. I don't think the intent was to actually kill the emperor, but to set the 4th son up as his rescuer. Jia didn't count on the 5th son being there to share the glory of rescuing the emperor.

我觉得是当下的情况 不是在朝堂上 皇上正遭遇了危险 “奴才”的称呼 降低了身份 也表明了自己的失职
稱「奴才」是表示親近之意，表示自己是「皇上家裡」的奴才。

是嘉贵妃母子自导自演的，事先在树上架了把弓和箭设好了机关，又用野马引皇上进了树林，由于树上有母马的气味导致皇上的马失控打转，踩中了机关放出了第一箭让皇上落马，接着永珹进树林射箭射中了那个机关再放第二箭射中皇上，他自己再跑出去射杀野马救了皇上，让皇上以为是有刺客借着野马想要行刺，他出来救驾
