God blessed you with these & many other more unit's, because you and your Wife worked very hard to get to where you are today. The respect level from fellow buyer's is priceless. May God continue to keep blessing you, and your family.
That was a great buy! If you find the right 90's insert parallels of the right players you will make a nice profit. You can also grade a ton of stuff you find. All the people that talk crap are just jealous. Good luck with the unit.
I've been collecting sports cards and memorabilia for 27 years. He will easily be able to triple his money. Lots of autos as well. No brainer if you have the money. I could flip all of this fairly quickly.
I have been a baseball card collector for over 15 years I'd love to go through each card one bye one and price them! Fly me to California and I'll go through every single card!!!!!!
I was clearing out a unit the other day and it had 1600 in gold i bought it for 20 dollars so real love the show man i watch all your videos started as a side business and is now competing with my main business. Appreciate all the content and the great videos !
Rene - business idea for you. Build your own storage units! Low maintenance, no employees, easy to build, and you could store your "items" in your own storage units👍
That's my dream locker. Thanks for the great content and especially sharing your knowledge and motivational words. After watching you on youtube i honestly have to say you have become my favorite person from the show and i kind of judged you wrong. Sorry you are a class act!
I just bought my first unit for 5000 filled with sports memorabilia DiMaggio mantle ted williams willy mays balls and pictures. Ebbets field artwork and about 200000 baseball cards etc. I owe it to you. Ive been watching you for about a year and a half. Its such an awesome but scary feeling. You definitely are the best of the best at this craft. I wish i could pick your brain. Well thanks for the great videos.
I'm at it every single day. I hit up someone's property picking with three barns just today. On Friday I'll be at a storage auction. And I love every minute of it.
I know a couple different people who have storage lots, and they tell the same thing, when someone dosent pay, they open the locker and take anything that is worth something out, then they get rid of the locker by auction.
Thank you so much for the videos I've been doing this for almost 10 to 15 years now and you are right you got to start from the bottom eventually you will get there just got to believe in yourself thank you for the video I enjoy your videos appreciate it for the encouragement Jesus Christ bless you

I knew an older man who collected this kind of stuff since his youth, had an entire storage unit for it. He was losing money by keeping them in storage. He then became helpless as no one could help him sell it, people tried but it became overwhelming. Yes the items can sell individually for 1-10 a piece but the problem was sorting through, personal labor and time researching individual cards it made it daunting. I’m not sure if he ever sold it, at the end he was already asking $500 for the whole unit, he was already reaching his late 70’s.
Good ol Rene i remember when you first started on storage wars an Mark Converse who put me up on game. Alex a good dude. An my favorite auctioneer Ken. I miss them auctions in San Diego

Cool video with out the TV Show Crap. Thank you for sharing. I'm looking for a Golf Merchandise connection - Hit me up if you can point me in the right direction.
Seeing this storage auction is like a kid going to a candy store for me. I grew up collecting all kinds of sports memorabilia and I’d loveeeee to just spend the day going through those.
You could make money on those lockers but I don't know about profit over what you paid . The dude driving up up was happy at the end cause he knew . Sports cards hit their peak somewhere in the mid 90's . I'm sure you wouldn't want to post a video if you took a loss but let us know what came of it
The sports cards that you showed were pretty much junk. 1989 score and Topps those were all mass produced. But I agree with you even if you average $1 each you will come out ahead. The question is is it really worth your time and energy to list $1 items on EBay. Hope you do well with it. Love your hustle and your videos.
theres plenty there... the case of 1989 topps traded sets, thats got a griffey and a deon rookie in it... those sets will sell out quick for $5 ea. on ebay... people love searching that stuff looking for a PSA10 contender of a key rookie... I also saw the infamous tiger woods grand slam venture rookie that shopathome used to try to sell for $4k over 15 years ago... lmao... Don West is a legend...
Rene/Casey look forward to you guys posting this awesome find! Aside from some of the negative comments below, this just turned into a massive amount of work for you or someone on your staff. To be realistic most card grading companies charge about $20 per grade, unless you send in a bulk amount the price goes down, but asking $5 per graded card is probably a good deal especially to the collector who collects their favorite player. People who are in the trading card/sports memorabilia world talk a lot about "retail price". You are a smart business guy and know that no one will pay retail for anything, just as you don't with the items you sell at your store. If you wish I would be happy to help you out the best I can to help identify autographs and such to help you get a ballpark idea of who/what you have. Wish I lived in CA I would make a trip to your stuff to check it out if I did.
Why I think you have done well is because you are honest, this comes across in the way you speak to people with respect and is a credit to yourself from Someone in Blighty
This looks like a nightmare of 90s collectibles that never sold in his store. You can probably blow out some of the stuff and others will sit for a while (especially if you end up with multiple cases of sealed boxes). Those graded cards didn't look very promising (bad grades on undesirable cards in the first place). I'm sure there will be some gems in there, but the majority of that will be low profit, long tail items. Hope you make out okay in the end though you're one of the most genuine guys on youtube!
RetroGameBros exactly, it’s just a bunch of junk that will take years to sell, and most of it probably won’t sell. There’s a reason it’s all in the storage unit. Plus it’s going to take him many hours to go through everything.
Does that mean that the Auctioneer guys have already been in the lockers to see whats in there for them to tell you the contents? I find it funny that on the live auctions, the locks always look NEW! So they do look before selling... Not good that! Not having a go, I love watching your channel Rene, you do a great job!

you well know it ain't money til it's sold. now you have to hire 4 ppl to sell this stuff on line or farm it out to an auction house. waitingfor someone to walk in your store and plop down a buck would take forever.
Most flippers thought out this detail long ago. Most have own thrift store, accounts at all on line places, friends who take certain items off hands immediately (silver, Japan items, electronics, linens etc etc. that way you get some of your money back next day, no trouble listing and mailing it). And add Poshmark for high end, Craig's list for low and turn it all over fast. Some flippers trash pick, resell at flea market, sell m teal for scrap, list goes on and on. If new flipper starts out using just one source to sell, they use los of money. Not everything belongs on eBay, it just will not sell and every listing costs $1+ to list. It does not sell, so relist and pay again. Not good moneymaker for a $5 item. Stuff has to be listed in days or you can't pay your bills.
