Studio: Artistic/creative space.
Office: Workplace.
How you identify with your surroundings has a dynamic impact on how your energy is invested. I never refer to my creative place as an office because it puts a subconscious limit on my creative possibilities. Is being in my studio a form of work, of course it is but its also my favorite place to be. Identify with what it is for you and let that reflect your most honest expression of that!
PS: THE NEST! Honestly, it sounds perfectly fitting considering its your's and Lizzie's space and couples nest/create together.

You mention some cool sound panels - any specific recommendations?
Scissor clips are great! We use them a lot on locations. Just make sure your drop ceiling is secure. Sometimes people remodel and remove the bracing.

Studio, thinking that it’s just a word, but the reality it’s more than that, it’s a space where you can feel and be creative, a place where friends and family can come and feel as though they are home and relax and have casual and meaningful conversations! An office sounds like a place where you’re stuck, there’s no room for creativity to flow. just my honest opinion.

Regarding the "is it an office or is it a studio?" discussion, as an architect/photographer, I would have to say that "studio" has more of a creative/productive connotation, whereas "office" has more of a business, mundane connotation.
Also, I'm from Chicago, with family in Toronto, and I totally remember Art Attack! loved seeing it when I would visit!
I JUST got my own studios as well!!! This super helped me put my own creatives space!! I also have separate rooms in my “studio” with an “office” (computer editing space)!!

As for a name? Well... since there’s an egg chair... maybe the “coup”? I feel since the chair is so legendary we need to give it the recognition it deserves.

For naming the "studio" I think calling it the Studio or Office in causal conversation works,. Its the office to clients and Studio to creative friends. I think once you have the place furnished more then you will know its style. Is it the Hau Gala, the Space, the shop, the passport, the Basket (chair love) or the Alley. But I would say you have a 6 month leeway before you name the location to know what the space feels like and then name it based on that.
I recommend Nano leafs and / or all phillips hue because COLOR

A Studio represents a business where you can also have an office.
An office is an area where you conduct your work which is related to your business
You can have an office in a studio but you cannot have a studio in a office.
Studio can have, work area (aka office), kitchen, storage area, lounge area, sitting area.
That is why most people say I am going to work not office but creative heads say we are going to studio not work 😊👍🏼
word to the wise - if you start hanging things from the suspended ceiling rails - get above it and double check that all the wire twists are robust enough to support your intended suspension weight...

Well, we're Storm Falcon Studios and we call our space Storm Falcon Keep, or just "The Keep" for short. Your space has an eclectic feel, maybe even almost rustic-ish... What about The Lodge?
