I spent the last month and a half in the mountains, diving deep into my writing and filmmaking. I have a few projects lined up and I look forward to being able to share them with you.
During our time in the village, we had to harvest our olives and take care of many small jobs in the up-keeping of our rustic house. I hope you enjoy this video, and I'll see you all soon again :)

Haha it's true that most people come for the sea, and there's also this misconception that it's always sunny and warm in Greece 😂
What is wrong with Islands and the sea? That is what tourist spend their money and come for.

I have spent time in Greece in December and my father 's family has a house in the mountains as well, (the mountains of nafpaktos region) the weather was nice actually it was a low of 7 degrees and up to 14 degrees celsius. It was sunny for the most part. I would like to stay and harvest the olives as well, I haven't had the opportunity to do that. I hope it isn't too late for me, i have a very busy life in North America.

@@asimskentzos9231 There is nothing wrong with the islands or the sea. It is just to point out that most people don't realize that Greece is very much a mountainous country; over 3/4 of the country is covered in mountains, and there are some very gorgeous places that people can visit.

I can’t remember ladt time I enjoyed a video this much.
I’ve be in & out of depression for the past few years for different reasons but every time I travelled to an Greek Island I felt completely healed & alive again.
I wish I could visit this beautiful place & know you in person & be your friend.

i’ve watched this for the second time now … the world has opened up .. i really think you could become one of the greatest international travel bloggers, maybe focusing on high profile areas but your work can be done during the off season…documentary/history/ travel add your voice and acting ability.. you could do it :)

Dear talented Ariadne, as we speak i am 75 yrs old but when i was way younger i worked for EOT National Organization of Greek Tourism .From time to time we hired American advertising agencies to project Greece as a tourist destination . Their work does not have the feel your work has .It was more commercial than needed flashy hotels and flashy yachts but nothing that touches a soul.I suggest you approach them with one or your videos( as a demo) and try to get a contract to represent Greece the way you can ! Good luck ,and remember: Luck is on the side of those who dare .

Im lost for words tbh. I watch the whole 8 episodes. I am greek from athens. I just bought a place in a village outside thessaloniki. I was searching for easter videos and one of your episodes came up. The usual greek videos are full of shouting and fighting and bbqs, etc, which is what we expect to see, as we greeks are crazy. Your videos, however, made me want to suicide and yet they were so captivating i just couldn't stop watching them. Ive been in the uk for 24 years now and i cant wait to move back but for now we will be going 6 times a year, possibly what your doing now. Your videos brought back memories that have been forgotten since i moved out, like the xmas one with the little goblins etc. I assume your or doing something with writter as a lot of your videos and contents remind me reading a book but like watching it on netflix series. I enjoy them very much and i hope you will continue making more. You definitely have a gift. Your videos are very very different , story telling different. I have subscribed to your channel waiting for ep9

@AriadneK. I did, I commented on it. I said its like waiting for an episode on netflix to come out. You can't wait. Although ep9 was a little be more cheerful, but I see what your trying to do. I like the fact you used an old method of book reading into a new method of making a movie ish. I have a pretty good idea were the village is, as before we got a place in thesalloniki, I too was looking for a place in peloponnese but I won't reveale it as you said you want it anonymous. Only comment to you will be to make your videos at least 1 hr long rather than 20 min. I'm sure it takes a lot of doing to make them but think of your fans

They've had it for well over 20 years now. There is a wonderful picture of how the property looked decades before it passed on to them. Its in black and white, and you can see all the changes brought by different generations

Many of the stray dogs in Greece have been severely abused by the older generation. It's so sad.
Yeah that is true. In this village thankfully we have a lot of elders that take care of the many stray dogs, and therefore they are fed and sheltered most of the time. But overall this is a huge issue in all of Greece 😞
