- Welcome to part 1 of the second Harry Potter game. Like if you enjoyed the video, and subscribe for more from me!
Check out my LP of the first Harry Potter game: • Let's Play Harry Potte... - Hry
The music when you're in Hogwarts man... Chills. Fucking chills. The composer actually went on to create the music in the Elder Scrolls series.
Late_Bloc_Party is that true?? Because I swear when I was in one of the stairwells it sounded exactly like oblivion
Joe Knowles yeah man it is! It really shows
Late_Bloc_Party Damn. What a legend
Morrowind relessed the same year as this. He was already working on them
Man this game was a major part of my childhood
Same man. I played this game probably the most out of any game
I've played the longer version on GameCube
Same, here man i loved this game when i was younger
i love how so many people can relate to the nostalgia on this game...anybody who grew up without it is missing out...this one...the first one and the third....sitting in front of my fat old PC at my old house every day getting scared of filtch in the library in the first one.
PoonMan after the prisioner of askaban, EA Games ruined the game ;((
TheFelink I kind of like the 5th and 6th games but the second one across all platforms is my favorite 3 would be good if it wasn't for those load times
+TheFelink 5. Was fine, so many quests and the castle was huge
i can relate
BruuuuuUUuuUuUuUuuUuuUuUuuUUuuuHhhhHHhHhhhhHh
The sound of the start menu, and the gargoyle's roar brought back memories. Anyone else?
Charlie Simon Yeah. I remember watching a CZcams video back in 2012, something about A Series of Unfortunate Events, and they used THAT menu music, and I just knew I heard it from from somewhere. It clicked with me after a few seconds.
myowncomputerstuff for me it takes me back to when i was about 9, and i played this game every day. Even after all these years i still immediately remembered the music and sounds
Charlie Simon Yeah. I must've been about six or seven when I played this game, but I remember a scary amount of detail without even needing to watch this play through. I basically remembered the entire map of Hogwarts in the game, 75% of the spell challenge maps, how I'd always play wizard duels on the second-hardest level, and how I could never make it past escaping the Slytherin common room (remembering it still kinda horrifies me).
myowncomputerstuff Its crazy how those details can stay with us even after all those years. I don't remember the spell challenges that much, but i remember parts of the chamber of secrets and how there was a ridiculous amount of random obstacles and stuff to get through. And one of my happiest moments as a child was when i finally killed that basilisk XD
+Charlie Simon I always used to play this with my sister and mother. I remember I always needed my mum to do the Slytherin Common Room level because I kept getting caught. Also do you remember the firecracker battles in philosophers stone?
Played this all the time back in 2005 or 2006. Holy Nostalgia!
Same but in 2002. Now that's nostalgia. 12 years have passed, can hardly believe it myself.
+What the fuck are you doing reading my username? 12? lol try 14
Bananapeel8I Holy shit how did I even...
Well, I stand corrected! Thank you kind sir.
I remember playing this back in '02 LOL
Ashraf Anam 2008 for me.
This was the first Harry Potter game I completed. Loved exploring Hogwarts and finding secrets.
DashieSparkle Same here
DashieSparkle me the first game i have played
Ditto
absolutely agree exploring and finding secrets was so awesome, much nostalgia
Its very rare to find a good game based on a movie. this is one of those rare games.
Well the first three games takes a lot of inspiration from the books actually, never the less I agree that this is a very good game!
And the mummy too 😍
@@SaveMeMoon Was just watching this for nostalgia and was glad to see someone commented this. Yeah they really did, I mean Peeves was in them. So fun
Harry Potter and the broken, irreplacable, antique vase was my personal favourite book.
I love how you spend the entire first game smashing vase after vase to get beans....and then, the one time you get caught is the one time it isn't your fault!
The music in Oblivion always reminded me of this game. I looked up the composer and oddly enough, it was done by the same person.
Same composer.
This literally makes me want to cry. A hell of a game, played this on and off from 2003 to 2007, I was so young, ages 5 to 9. So many memories, I don't know why this all popped up in my head after all this time but it did and now I'm here.
this was probably my favorite pc game when i was little
I remember when I was little playing that game and used be so scared ! The graphics back then seemed like a whole new world! I guess after 10 years watching this video I've realized how much animation and gaming has changed! In 10 years GTA V will be considered old and I have no idea how much the graphics are going to improve!
I was scared of those snails IT WAS SO UGLY omg i couldnt play then anymore my sister played it for me after xD
Kidynamide Kidynamide haha I was sooooo scared of the snails too!! rofl its so funny how I wasnt alone!! I would close my eyes and try and kill them quick xD
This is the best game "based on a movie" ever. Usually they're terrible but this one oh man. This one is top notch.
This is not based on a movie. The game is for the most part based on the book and had its own unique story. Until they prevented it with their stupid licensing starting from the Goblet of Fire. Everything became shit after that.
Order of Phoenix was fine, but 4th and 6th, (I haven't played 7th and 8th) not so much.
there are lot of differences between harry potter 1 and 2 PC and playstation... PC port is made by the company name AMAZE ENTERTAINMENT but they defunct after few games that's sad and these is the best HP game for sure on PC and Playstation made by Argonaut that also some what good........but lots of differences between HP2 PC and PS.........
Onur Turk I always love how they had an unique visual style, they didn't try to copy the look of the actors, but they made the characters based on the book's descriptions.
“Top notch” was that a reference to Percy saying that?
One of the first PC games I played, and watching this again... IM INTO IT
I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter, but this was one of the very first games I ever played and I loved it so much as a kid. Seeing it now brings back so many memories!
John Brown You're most welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed. :)
InvalidationX145 This is pure nostalgia.. The GBA version was the best gameboygame i ever played.
danielrowling Oh man I played that version so many times.
John Brown I've played it over and over, finding new secret places every time. I'm trying to get the half blood prince game but its hard to find, found 2 overseas.
same
This game was awesome! Collecting all those damn jelly beans!
Was awesome means it's not available now ?
I will never forget going to the computer room, sitting in my fathers tall dark leather chair and playing this game; and how every time Harry would talk to the Basilisk the lights in the computer room would seem to flicker, sending my older cousins watching at the time to run away screaming in fear lmao
This was probably one of the first games I played. I have a lot of memories of me and a childhood friend hooked on her huge desktop in like '02 playing the ever living shit out of it. We used to go to the top of the staircase and jump off for hours because there were a few pretty fun glitches you could achieve if you angled yourself correctly and it was pretty funny to us, considering we were both like 7. I remember that if you angle it right, you can land on top of one of the paintings and basically mountain climb your way to the top. Usually, if you jump from the top of the stairs and land on the first floor, you definitely die, but we found that if you land in front of one of the traders, you'll be stuck in an infinite loop of harry going through half of the death animation and being resurrected to talk about trading beans.
Same here lol
Omg do you guys remembering opening a hidden passageway and a terrifying little troll thing jump scared you? It was so scary when I first did it!
Literally all I’ve ever wanted from a let’s play is exploration. This is perfect
Man this game was my childhood, I forgot how many times I beated it. A pretty big game with almost 30 plus hours of gameplay, definitely huge to that time standards. Beautiful graphics and one of the most beautiful background music in games history. This is a gem.
Aaaah. The memories of going around hogwarts and trying to reach places that were out of bounds in the game because I didn't know any better. My favorite place to go in the game was to hagrids place. I am pretty sure because you could harass the pigs. Also because it was just out there... It is hard to explain. This was a majorly fun game of my childhood and I would put it on my top 20 favorite games. Damnit good old games. You guys better make this game updated and compatible.
OH MY GOD I always went to Hagrid's Hut and harassed the pigs! They squealed so loudly it was crazy
Oh god the nostalgia... I loved these games. Well, I drew the line at the goblet of fire.. it just wasn't the same as the others. o.e
I drew the line at Prisoner of Azkaban myself, quite vocally I'm almost ashamed to admit. If you like rants, the let's play of that is still up. :P
Pahah. Well I've got that to look forward to then I suppose. :P
POA was great. I drew the line at GOF since I could never complete it -.-
Tyma Games oh God I hated every second of the goblet of fire just because it was different!
Lumos is especially beautiful this game. The sound this spell makes the moment you cast it, just like what magic light being released would sound like. The wand actually glowing was a nice add-in, and the particle effects are so pretty. 🌙✨
Ooooh, all those childhood memories!!
I used to play this all the time with my sisters! I always remeber playing it on easter with them! Brilliant game! Wish I still had it tho x
I'm going through a hard time in my life right now and the nostalgia of watching this is bringing me joy and comfort I can't even explain
I still come back and watch this series every now and then, I just love this game and it´s such good background entertainment! Great commentary too, it really feels like playing with a friend :)
I want to play this game again!!!
This is one of my favorite games as a kid, I had so much fun playing this and I'm happy I'll get to relive my nostalgia while listening to you experience it in real-time.
21:57 music in the background really brings up memories.
Omg I remember getting this for Christmas one year and I had so much fun lol.
I've watched this LP about 10 times over a period of 7 years. Mad
My favorite thing about early CZcamsrs is they have yet to be corrupted by the success and they're extremely genuine and unique. Keep up the good work buddy I'll keep supporting you when you hit 1,000,000.
26:39 ".....So what's wrong with taking the back streets?"
So I am rewatching... You made me appreciate this game a lot more. I used to be stressed out because of the challenge timers and because, sometimes, the game seemed to me too "free" in terms of exploration (I was always frustrated about possibly missing something), but honestly. Your enthusiasm is contagious!
i wish i watched you play more of my nostalgic childhood games. these videos you posted have gotten me through very hard times
The continuous whimsical background music as you explore brings me right back to the mid-2000s. Cheers
oh man. Seeing those symbols brought back memories. FLIPENDO!! FLIPENDO!! FLIPENDO!! And of course... SPONGIFYYYYY!!
wow...i loved this game so much...loved exploring, the scenery, music, everything..
My gosh, I loved this game SO MUCH!! I still love it, but unfortunately I can’t play it on my PC anymore! Probably going to rewatch your let’s play a couple times!
Absolutely love (and miss) this game! 😭❤️
Listening and watching your let's plays while working on the computer myself, very relaxing and fun ^^ thank you +InvalidationX145 for the funny commentary :D and making life less lonely during the day! Keep making these videos, looking forward to the rest of the series!
Pretty sure I've watched this let's play four times. All the nostalgia! Hope you're well, InvalidationX145!
The soundtrack is delicious. Never likely to forget its sounds. Its just stuck in my mind for like forever i think. First game ive ever played. One of the best memories of my childhood and glad to see im not the only one :) love you hp fandom
Just read the second book, watched the second movie again, and now watching your gameplay of the second game =)
I'm looking forward for this!
I really like this game, and you maked it more funny with your commentaries.I love you.
This game's amazing. I was completely blown away just like you the first time I played. Exploring around and finding secrets is just so much fun and the atmosphere of Hogwarts is fantastic, the game also looks stunning for the time it was released. I think I played this over 20 times!
This Let's play will never get old❤
Awesome video, and awesome game!
How did you make it widescreen though? My copy of the game doesn't support resolutions that high :(
I watched this when i was like 5. I have been looking for your channel for a year.
OMG I freaking used to LOVE this game sooooo much! :D Everytime we got the Spongify spell, we failed to get into the bean room and I like "I cri everytiem"
Oh the nostalgia
Gosh this brings back memories!!!
I was terrified of the orange snails but managed. However dealing with the gnomes was an entirely different thing. I'm not sure if it was a glitch for anyone else, but I stopped playing the game at one point because I would get so scared of the third floor. Every time I got off the states and entered the corridor, I would hear a gnome right next to me laughing and grunting. I looked up stuff through my book on it to see if there was some sort of secret area or something and there wasn't. But I always heard it when I walked into the corridor, and additionally "scary" intro music would play and I got so scared of it.
Also, never got past the Basilisk fight when I was older and got past all the other stuff. I could never strike the snake at all even when he was right there.
Haha that was a gnome in a secret area, you were safe
This game is sooo nostalgic and the soundtrack is so gooddd
Oooohh, I'd sorta forgotten about this channel, I've watched so many LPs here! Time to rewatch I guess!
Got this around christmas time in 2002 at a family gathering in Philly. I had just gotten home from seeing Lord of the Rings the Two Towers and bam my aunt hooked me up with this. Played this game non-stop. Loved it.
Lots of memories. Oh the memories.
back at it again! finished the filosopher's stone, back here now
"oh thats how you pronounce it" *he says, seconds after I did* lol
Omg childhood !!!! I loved this game so much , I would play it over and over
Fab nostalgia! Great video. 1 thing I found was that at some point during the game, prior to attending a lesson, you can enter the Transfiguration classroom & get told off by Prof. McGonagall. Weirdly, I liked it.
I played this game tons of times as a kid I'm just watching this because it brings back good memorys
looking through a box this weekend and found this game.. finished it in two days. The great memories I had of playing this with my sister many years ago :')
Also, the music from this game and the philosopher's stone was played in the later games too as well as the music from the films which I liked. Loved the sinister music of these games.
Really brings memorys back :)
Please Who is looking this in 2017😭 memories
Holy crap, so much nostalgia.
I used to love playing this game growing up I thought it was such a good game for it being a movie tie-in, made me feel like I was a student who actually went there
Boys, the soundtracks are just... fantastic!!!
Nostalgia
The score of this game brings me back, especially the main menu. :)
"or the philosophers stone if you're in the continent in which it was created"
I have the harry potter 1-3 for PC and those games were amazing
Memories 😭😭😭😭😭😭
First thing I notice is he misses card, the tapestries above the quiddich entrance is the spot to unlock it.
Mann thanxx for the upload bro i have played this game alot in my childhood but it just gone with my old pc now i dont know where to get😭
I loved this game so much as a child that, in my head, when I think of Hogwarts, the Hogwarts I imagine will forever resemble the one in this game rather than the one in the movies.
i just love this game
Wow so interesting to watch someone play this for the first time
i played it @ 2002..such a beautiful game..,once i forgot the exam which planned afternoon,i was playing this at home.but reached school sharp 1.30 pm.anyway teacher permitted me.
U must be the age i am now, that time... And here i am watching this gameplay in 2021. Some games were legendary in our childhood days !
Ih my god... I played this game so much... I had almost forgotten about it!
I remember having This games as a kid.. god it was fun
I always watched my sister playing that game back in 2005 or something 😻
Thank you so much for this video, it brings back so much memories when I used to play this in 1st grade.. Thank you..thank you..
You are most welcome!
By the way i don't get all the hate.
I love youtubers who take their time and talk alot totally got a sub from me man.
My favourite Harry potter Games
The GameCube version is so much different.
Yeah he didn't even go to Diagon Alley.
I honestly think this one is better though. The spell challenges in the GameCube version were so ridiculous, and I hated them.
As much as I love seeing everyone go on about how much they love this game, it hurts me a lot to see someone trying to do a walkthrough of this and not know what anything is. Not necessarily your fault, but I know this game inside and out after playing it so many times.
We all were like this at one point
Oh i remember the week before christmas 2002, when i finally was gonna get my hands on this game. I could not wait. I hope i get it to work soon so i can play it again :D
I love this video so much
THIS IS SO DAMN NOSTALGIC

Dat animation tho... THE NOSTALGIA IS REAL
