We listened to The Wager on an unplanned road trip on Spring Break and we all (well, not my daughter--she had her headphones on and listened to music) really enjoyed it. It's quite the adventure!
I've heard such great things. I can't wait to get to it! I'm thinking maybe late May or early June, but I'm tempted to throw out my TBR and read it now! 🤣
oou The Wager!! my fave non·fic read in 2023 .. granted I didn't read that much non·fic last year lol but honestly one of my fave books overall. Written more like a Historical Thriller.. if you love History or Ocean Horror or Thrillers or Adventure .. this is excellent!! 100% deserving of the hype.

the uk kept the old art style of the darker shades of magic. So that's cool

Alicia, you definitely need to read Night Film. I think you would really enjoy it. I will say I'm pretty proud of that purchase. Something about a mixed media book just makes me happy. Not to tempt you into purchasing it. 🤣

I love witness for the dead and grief of stones. Book 3 in the trilogy, tomb of dragons will be published march 2025. The trilogy needs to be read in order. It's one storyline

You do Laura! I just finished book 2 and I liked it more than book 1! Such a fun time.
That's a nice selection of books. I hope the new unread ones turn out to be great. I enjoyed The Wager. It was gripping in places and sometimes hard to believe it was non-fiction. Maybe it could have added a few more details in some parts and a bit less in others. Night Film was good, too, particularly with all the mystery at the start although I'm not sure about the ending. It'll interested to hear what you make of The Book That Broke the World. I finished it last week and didn't like it as much as book 1 although its goodreads average is higher.
Thank you! I've heard that The Wager reads like fiction, which I think is phenomenal when authors can right real stories in that way. I really liked the ending of Night Film, but I understand why some would find it frustrating.
I am surprised at how small The Book that Broke the World is. It's just over 300 pages. Books later in series typically have a higher rating on Goodreads due to the only people picking them up are people who loved the first in the series. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just got my preorder for Sheine Lende by Darcie Little Badger and am excited to read it. It’s the prequel to Elatsoe which I adored💛

I need to read Elatsoe! I've heard amazing things. I've never read anything by Darcie Little Badger and I need to. Thanks for letting me know that their is a prequel. That is exciting!!! Is it for the main character of Elatsoe or a side character?
@@Danni.Dabbles the prequel follows the grandmother of the mc in Elatsoe. Also want to mention that there are illustrations throughout so you don’t miss out on those if you just pick up the audio🌻
