- This impressive buildings was built over 500 years ago. with its crooked walls and even floors it gives plenty of charm.
A true survivor of grand splendour with a story to tell.
1 1485_1603 Tudor Era
2 1508_1610 the hall was extended by three generations .
3 1600_the Hall was let to tenants.
4 1892 _Elizabeth Moreton inherited the hall.
5 1912_ Elizabeth cousin takes on the hall after Elizabeth dies.
6 _1938 National Trust was handed the hall.
I wish I could see it in person. I've always wanted to see artist rendition of what the rooms looked like during their own time when everything was painted and furnished. This house really makes me want that. Thanks for posting!

Little Moreton Hall is a beautiful building. As a long time member of the National Trust I have visited here a few times. I usually call at Biddulph Garden as well when we come over to this side of the Pennines. You have created a lovely presentation and was a joy to watch. Places like this are so wonderful to enjoy and when your tour is over you can sit and relax in such beautiful surrounds. Thanks for taking me along.
