Have 3 fives,you don't need them serviced every 3 years ,they are low maintenance,if you manually wind it before putting away it will last a couple of days nearly, definitely a great entry into mechanical watches.
Thanks for the tip mate. I’ve been told mixed information about servicing to be honest but a lot of people are saying they are fine without servicing. I’m pretty pleased with it 👌🏻

I’ll stick with my Duro & MTD-130 (& MTD-125 in future). Honestly, your Pepsi Duro looked quite gorgeous next to the Seiko. Maybe one has to see them in flesh to appreciate the “betterness” of the more expensive Seiko.
Automatic watches aren’t probably for those who’d like to change their watches everyday.. We need to buy a winder to keep the unused ones running..
Thankyou 😁. Looks wise the Casio Duro holds its own against the seiko, there’s a few nicer qualities to the Seiko obviously but I love them both. It’s great to have a few different options in the collection and my collection is now stronger for owning the Seiko 5.
I saw this in my local watch shop window today and very nearly picked it up still thinking 🤔 yes or no ?
Personally I would say go for it, I don’t thinks there’s many better colour combos on a Seiko 5 than this one. I love it! Let me know if you get it 😁👍🏻
Hi Casio (Seiko defector^) Man.
That is one sweet looking watch. Superb colour scheme. Have you considered getting an automatic watch winder? (Essentially a rocking cradle or mechanical pendulum assembly.)
You could buy an oversized Newton's cradle and strap the watch to one of the steel spheres! -Was going to use the term b@lls but there may be ladies present-
As always avoid those thieving magpies who *LOVE* shiny things.
^Seiko brand is perhaps the watch aficionado's/enthusiasts number one choice for automatics.
