We are so glad that Champion Forte is settling in at Spendthrift!! This was the best thing for Mike Repole and Todd Pletcher could do for him!! There was no need to try to race him and could have made his injury, life- threatening. So this is the best deal possible. Now, he can produce more Forte's just like him!! Hope he has a very happy retirement and can't wait to see his upcoming crop, next year. Thank You, Forte, for all what you brought to Horse Racing.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I've seen Forte run in the Florida Derby in person since I'm Floridian and let me tell you: it was the greatest horse race I've ever seen in my life. This is the greatest horse I've ever seen in person, and one of my favorite, non-historical, racehorses ever. Hope you enjoy Spendthrift, Forte!!!

@@danwolfe238 There a retirement farm with a vet on site 24/7.... they become old !! Sick!! And yes die. Don't make stupid comments. Any horse retired to old friends has won the horse lottery!. I've been there..have you ?

If I might ask a question. I noticed Mike Repole leading him into a winner's circle, so I am assuming that he was the owner. When a horse stands at stud, have they been sold to the breeder or might the original owner still own the horse? This is something that I had not thought about before. Thank you.

Nice horse but his legs look like match sticks...folks need to be aware about how many racehorses break down in this sport...it should be a consideration in the breeding.

Lol no they don’t, go look at justify he has thin ankles. Forte only had a stone bruise and a quarter crack that’s all hoof not legs.

@@audradobson5624 I would not try to defend this industry and what has been going on…these horses break down because they are doped and because they are bred based on their race record as opposed to soundness and concern for animal welfare….not much bone.
I am not trying to pick on Forte, I could pick on any of the top horses including Into Mischief.
