This is common sense. If not $100 it can be $50
So is it better to do this physically with actual bills than do it in the bank?
100 is a better choice to try to make it a week on. cause 50 of that 100 going on gas. Shit they want 35 for a 7day bus pass in Chicago

Deploy your money to work for you and make more money. No one ever became wealthy by saving all their money
You save money for emergencies, not to become wealthy.

I have $100K saved in my emergency fund, but it took years of constant saving to hit this amount. I like all the little tricks people use to save. The biggest trick is being consistent adding funds to your 401K, IRA and savings. It takes time and commitment for us average earners to build a large pot of money.
bro what, a 100k emergency fund is the dumbest shit i’ve ever heard
“Out of sight out of mind”

You are absolutely right
You can easily do this as a active duty member of the military. Before you ask how
They house and feed you , 2k a month plus benefits and you reakly don't need to buy anything.
If u have bills then that's a personal problem. Nobody told anyone to go get a car note with expensive insurance. Or a new iphone with the highest bill . That's why I love looking " basic " because while I'm saving 1k a month some dude with the nicest whip and shoes aint even got a 1k to his name. Now who's basic and who's broke ( I'll take being basic with 16k saved any day )

Exactly! Lol
It does for me because I don’t carry my wallet with me. It stays home.
Rich elder Korean guy I know once asked me, "Who gets rich, the man who saves his money or spends it?". I don't remember the answer I gave him but he told me, "The one who saves his money, his money will stay the same. But the man who spends his money on investments, his money will grow.".
Everyone talks about this like they know what they are talking about and can't even name one specific thing I can invest in right now. I just get vague answers that lead me nowhere.
Bro you gotta save to invest and it’s about what your investing in and how much of return “flip” youre getting
So if you don’t know what to invest in at the moment. Just save until you know. You always wanna save no matter what. Even with cash flow investments you never know what might crash. Some good physical long term investments could be such as gold or copper wire. Things that either up their value over time or never changes.

If you feel you can't do this, start small. Start by putting away all your $1 bills. Don't spend them, use your other bill denominations. You'll be surprised at how fast you get to $50, $100, etc. Also, save your change. It all adds up 😊
Ok, so should I give up eating or go live in the woods or what? I don't have an extra dollar.
There is no way to do it at all. The answer is to just relax and eat what you want.
That’s what you can do with acorns. They take change and round your purchases up to the nearest dollar

Yeah it works if you’re 15 & have no bills/debt
Aren't you going to make new money?
That’s common sense when I was staying at my parents house I have to take half of my pay, put it in a shoebox and hide it and saved up $3000
That's what I'm doing
If you’re at your parents you should be putting a lot more than half away. Unless they’re making you pay rent. I’ve been at my parents for a year with a full time job and have saved up 25k by saving as many whole checks as possible

The best way to save money is to squirrel it away in the form of cash only. Savings accounts are pretty lousy for saving. You are less likely to spend your tangible cash especially if it's tucked away out of sight.
Facts
Thank God that you told the truth about regurgitating info and repackage it as your own. Meanwhile pretending to be a financial intellect
Should be putting it into investments, stocks are decently safe especially if they have dividends or an index fund. But because of inflation just "saving" it will make that money depreciate in value over time
hey, im a teen new to this stuff. i have been wondering, do stocks cost money? and how can i invest?
All good till inflation hits I would spend some this on gold and silver to protect yourself
Some Asian on Tic Toc is a financial genius for telling you to save $100, not pay your bills and see how you turn out.
Into a Fire Proof Safe, Bolted to the floor, in a locked Safe Room.😂
Imagine the Asian kid said he learned this from some ghetto savage on TikTok
I especially liked the part where the ventriloquist dummy was staring at the Christmas tree 🎄🤡🙄🥱
Yes, this works. I work based off tips, w.e i make in cash I put it away and act like it never existed. I pay my bills/luxuries with the money I made off of electronic tips, if that makes sense. It accumulates fairly quickly and it makes me feel save to have emergency funds.
I would recommend instead opening up a high yield savings account with another bank that you don’t currently have, that way you get a few benefits. One being you can earn interest on your cash, that way inflation isn’t eating away at the money you are saving, the second reason is if you lose your wallet, you won’t lose all your savings too, and the third reason for opening an account that’s from a different bank you have is you need to really need the money cause it’ll take 3 business days for the money to transfer which adds a buffer so it’s not so easy to get that money right away.
If he pays it into the bank its taxable, he would loose 2k straight away where I'm from, providing he earns above the income tax threshold as most people do, I'd probably buy gold with the cash to be honest
@@georgeyboy8186 Not to say you shouldn't buy gold but if all you have is $10,000, then wouldn't you agree it would be more sound to keep that money where it's very easily accessible, in the case of an emergency, such as a high yield savings account. Also I don't exactly know what you mean that he would be taxed $2000 on the money he deposits, he should have already payed taxes on the money assuming he's a regular W-2 employee. As long as you're a W-2 employee and you filled out your W-4 correctly, you really shouldn't owe any excess taxes. You can toss the interest to be withheld on your paystubs, by filling out your W-4 correctly, from one of your jobs, as to prevent yourself from owing any money come filing season.
I got 5 shoe boxes full of $100 bills can't say how much it is but. Its never going to a bank
I can confirm that this works I made $1,000 in a month doing this with side hustles
Pretty good tip, you should make a detailed video showcasing people how to actually budget. 20% to rent 10% grocery 10% towards tithe. Something along these lines would be great.

@alyssaakagilly2928 Everyone finances are different. A suggestion would be to sit down and look at what you spend and how you spend outside of your bills. You would be amazed by some of your wants versus your actual needs. Google money savings challenges for a family on a fixed income. Best wishes to you and your family.
Ill try but I'm not sure how national grid or the landlords going to feel about it 😅
You have to be strict I put half of my check away every week
I used this tactic in 1st grade with my socks

Wow. I will try this!👏🏾
50% on needs (rent, groceries, toilet paper, gas, etc.), 30% on wants, 20% on savings. Build up an emergency fund, 6 months of life expenditures, 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k, w/e. Don't finance, no debt, if you need to drop 10k on a new car you've got it in your emergency fund, build it back up.
I got a whole family, realistically this shit aint happening for me. 🤣
Anyone savings dollars are lost as hell. The dollar is worthless you all better grab you some assets.
Your money is going to devalue every single day due to inflation. Invest it. Or spend money to make money.
Or or or hear me out

The banks should invent an account where you put money into for savings 🤔
