What I love about the river people is don't matter what company you are with you get in trouble they will help you out. I was a guild onetime fell out at grumps it beat the crap out of me and another guy. That was end of our trip I hurt for a week.
Great point about everyone pitching in to help. I think this video shows that aspect well. Guides often change companies and many of us have worked together in the past.
That is a crappy swim bro. I have been chundered by that swim before; and as you described, I also got the crap beat out of me
The guy who swam out to help the rafters that were stuck is a pro in the water. That guy knew exactly what to do and he executed perfectly. Very impressive, made it look easy.
Mac is busy fixing rafts these days but still finds some time to play on the river.
I have been binging lately. All of your videos are awesome. Love your excited yet monotone voice 😂😂💀
Most of the dumps were set ups, I use to guide on the ocoee and we did it all the time.. more Fun !!
The Cat's PJ'S flips certainly seem to be intentional. Some companies allow or even encourage that at the bottom of Cat's PJ'S. However most companies forbid juicing or dumping; they are concerned about t-grip injuries. I do not juice for cash or otherwise.
Yes, I love this guy.
This looks like material for "Epic fails" videos. :)
This is awesomeness!!!
I am glad you enjoyed the video.
Thus guys great. Omg love this S@$!. Could watch all day
Thanks and you can come watch in person. Or better yet come raft it fastfreds.com/raft
I was not aware until today that whitewater rafting was in need of color commentary. Now I will hear your voice every time I raft.
Ha ha, thanks... I appreciate your kind words. Just trying to spread some love.
nice one fred!
Thanks, David!
Amazing vids
Thank you for your kind words!
Awesome footage! Maaajor props to the camera man! Very cool!
I cannot stop watching these 🤣🤣🤣
Sick!!1
the lady guide at 1:32 she is something else just had a bad crew
Being alert, listening, following the paddle commands, and paddling effectively really makes a difference. The crew plays a huge role in the type of experience they will have. Rafting is not an amusement park ride.
Just got me a job on the nantahala river this summer cannot wait
Which outfitter did you choose?
@@FastFredRuddock paddle inn...my aunt use to own the property right across the street so I'm going back to my roots
My church is going here for a trip ♥️ looks fun!!!!!
Enjoy your time on the water!
FastFredRuddock thanks it looks supper fun
I’m going rafting on my birthday this looks fun
Who are you going rafting with?
Rad vid
Thanks for your kindness and words!
I was there!!!! And survived :)
Very nice! Have you been back lately?
Nice viewer count on this one Fred!
I got some more nice footage today. There was a nice pin at Kimberly's rock today. Pro tip kids, don't use groupon to book a rafting trip.
Some many dumped at 2:00, water looks higher then usual!
The level looks in the range of a normal release. As I recall the river had changed a bit and Godzilla got stickier. During negotiations with TVA water levels were generally barely the required flow. Some holes got easier but other became harder to run clean.
Very nice 😂 ❤
Glad you like it
This looks so fun. I want it
Come on out and join the fun! fastfreds.com/raft
@@FastFredRuddock I'm in California, just came back from Kern river rafting. Yours need another planned trip 'cause it's out of state.
this guy makes me laugh :)
If you like the videos you would love a rafting trip with me. You can request me with the instructions at fastfreds.com/raft
Talk about a "main attraction!!"
Rafting is where it's at!
McCauly is a hero for getting Homie out of that pin.
Mac sure does shine in this video. I hope he is having a good summer. I have not seen him this year as yet.
Great
What did you like best?
Watch the lady that bites it @4:55 if you pause it @4:56 it's a perfect screen shot!
It’s depressing that none of the passengers listen to the guides instructions 🤦♂️
People panic and then they flip
The crew really can make a difference in the experience. Pro tips for the crew include: Remain alert. Listen to your guide. Follow paddle commands in a timely manner. Paddle effectively.
Sometimes it’s the guides fault
I like to get wet sometimes!
Hello great video, I enjoy this ride many times since my kids grow in Georgia. Is this the same section of the river that was part of the Olympic games/activity? Thanks
This video features video from the Olympic Course on the Upper Ocoee as well as footage from the Middle Ocoee. I am also a river guide that works the Ocoee during the northern hemisphere summer fastfreds.com/raft and I spend the off-season in South America fastfreds.com/travel
What did our narrator say at 19:13? (The Pro Tip.)
Great show Fred! I subscribed. Where did you video the last part with the waterfalls?
Thank you for your support. The waterfall is named Big Bradley and is located in Polk County North Carolina. The hike is not for the meek of heart nor unfit.
Thanks man! I’m gonna have to check that out. 👍
Feel free to pm me via Facebook.See my details in the description of this video.
Man this look like fun
It is and you can come rafting with me. Learn the details at fastfreds.com/raft and whitewater kayak instruction is also available.
Where is the waterfall in the background at 3:18
That is Big Bradley waterfall in the Green River Game Lands
What kind of boat is that Canadian running at 8:44? Awesome videos!
Thats a white water canoe you sit on your knees
Female at 1:32 is a certified studette they way she handled that boat!
And her safety crew did a great job quickly helping the two swimmers.
wow. aku ingin bekerja disana.
Musim kami tertunda tahun ini karena covid-19. Senang melihat Anda di Sungai Ocoee di masa depan. Tetap sehat.
I'm looking for a particular rafting video where a guide hangs a sausage on a stick over swimming clients to direct them into the eddy, telling them to "swim to the sausage".
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

Do you have a link?
Those paddles pointed in the air don’t do much to help
Instant karma as John Lennon would say:
Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you're gonna be dead
That first raft was guide and all that went out. He get destroyed by the rest of the guides. 😅😅😅
The opening sequence is rather funny. If you must swim the Olympic Course is safer.
You Ocoee raft guides flippin' rafts for tips? Lol. One Raft had all the people hunkered down and even the guide wasn't paddling. Fou d myself yelling Paddle Paddle Paddle!!
Training has improved since this was shot. But the judgement of some young guides and the HR departments of some outposts is very questionable.
How do they not sink with all the water in them?
Jesse Dominguez self bailing rafts
Jesse Dominguez they have holes in the bottom of them
After the people fall out do they get in another raft or are are they done?
They generally get back into the same raft and continue.
Ok, thanks I just wanted to make sure. I'm 14 and I'm going rafting on this River in a few days any tips?
Veterans and Active Duty can raft free at my outpost July 4th, 2019. Call now to make your reservation while we still have available slots! 888-723-8622 ocoeeadventurecenter.com
Is this the upper or middle occoee
This video features bot the Upper and Middle Ocoee.
Сomedy !
Just trying to share a little love for the river and one another. Have a great day!
why is there so many guides and other paddlers on the bank at that one spot?
Brandon Schoenfeld because this is where the action is. We also set safety here.
ahh ok! Not used to many people on the banks, where i've paddled its more animals than people
This place is dope it had the Olympics there one year and they man made really big rapids near the end of the river really great place to raft
@@FastFredRuddock can people come here and watch? I wanna see it before i go
@@placesaroundus yes you can come here and watch. It is public property own by we the people. www.google.com/maps/dir/35.2748465,-82.3038507/ocoee+whitewater+center/@35.1661153,-84.5038712,8z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m9!4m8!1m1!4e1!1m5!1m1!1s0x885fad868d9300e7:0x639d1fc919557711!2m2!1d-84.461526!2d35.0668998
I dont think a single pfd fits them.
Some people just should not go rafting.
Ooohh nooooooo
It was a slow week for work and my outpost but I had a lot of fun kayaking and shooting video.
Shit !!! Some of those Boys throw'n those ropes must be part Cowboy !! Or base ball players.
Practice makes perfect. Sometimes too many ropes are thrown.
Kayakers have a dry sense of humor.
I'll say 😂
Ha ha, nice pun!
Pro move at 9 minutes to grab that boat.
Smooth for sure.
To many ropes “self rescue” !
Sometimes the spiderweb of ropes are a bit much. Training has been improving recently. Guides seem to be using ropes more effectively and safely this year from what I have observed. Guides should spread out and vector swimmers on ropes to shore rather than throwing all the ropes at once from the same point as observed in this video. Swift Water Rescue training is important. My outpost trains new guides the proper techniques.

So funny!
River
🤣 🤣 🤣
Glad you enjoyed it!
Абсолютно не подготовленные экипажи. Коммерческие сплавы по сложным рекам это не правильно. Люди могут погибнуть. Особенно дети.
Hence it is wise to do one's homework and request a competent guide. However this is a relatively safe yet fun river. To learn more visit fastfreds.com/raft
Some of these guides had zero whitewater experience before training in the spring.
Some of these guides are terrible with a capitol T ! Haha
Requesting an experienced guide does have its advantages. Learn more at fastfreds.com/raft/
you sure got a irritating voice, I love 'mute'.
Different strokes for different folks. Feel free to play your favorite music. Glad you like the video enough to watch with or without sound. Have a great day.
All these rafting vids crack me up. It is rare to see a swimmer with their feet downstream, back up paddling with their hands. Don’t the guides talk to them about this?
Those guests all get a safety speech at the outpost before boarding the bus to the river. Then the guides give them an additional safety talk before launching on to the river.
However people often panic when they experience something outside their comfort zone. Fortunately the Olympic Course where much of the mehem occurs is a safe venue with an extremely low change of entrapment.
Come on down to the Ocoee and watch it live for yourself and chat with these people.
