Watching you succeed and thrive despite having every reason to give into despair is giving me hope for myself, my relationship and my future. You've inspired me to start doing my own videos about Goldenhar Syndrome and all the complexities of my disabilities.

Hello, one of the new subscribers here :) I basically spent half the weekend binge watching your videos. I just wanted to say that 1) listening to you, Jessica, explain your conditions and what's it like to live with them, especially being deaf, showed me a completely new perspective of the world and 2) the both of you are my new favourite youtube couple and I'm so grateful that you speak so openly about being gay and being a couple. For me it normalizes being LGBT and in a lesbian relationship a lot, which is really important to me as a bisexual girl living in a pretty homophobic country, who has never even met an outed lesbian. So anyway, thank you girls, you're amazing and I'm looking forward to more great content from you :)

New subscriber here, I Pretty much binged your whole channel this weekend, no regrets 😍😍😁 hi Claudia, I'm an avid fiction reader with a particular love for YA, sci-fi, & fantasy. I'm not sure what your preferred genre is but I would recommend six wakes by Mur Lafferty, in a nutshell six wakes is a space adventure murder mystery. It's incredibly enjoying, fast paced action read, it'll keep you entertained for several hours. Another book I would like to recommend is the emperor's soul, a fantasy novel by Brandon Sanderson. I've reread this book multiple times and each reread is better than the first, the story is about a forger name Shai who is caught replacing a moon scepter, a copy with nearly perfect precision, she is jailed for several weeks and awaiting execution when she is presented with an ultimatum, to successfully forged a new soul for the comatose emperor or faced execution. I love the Asian influence in this novel as well as the badass protagonist Shai, she is quick on her feet, sharp, and resourceful. Yes, she is my girl crush. My last recommendation is by my favorite British author Gail Carriger, her soulless series, every single book is funny, witty, diverse, action packed and just pure awesomeness. If you can listen to the audiobook version, the narrator did such an awesome job of bringing the characters to life. Happy readings!

Oh my gosh Jessica, you and Claudia are the actual cutest couple ever. Also, living for your hair. Question - do you have any tips for caring for someone when they're ill? My best mate gets very ill very easily and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to make her feel more comfortable?
Wow, that feels like a video I should already have! Definitely will make that one soon. To give you a quick answer though: easy and open communication is key. Encourage your friend to share without embarrassment whatever it is they need from you. Also, make sure you run interference for them with the outside world who might not be so understanding. If they faints in public or anything else happens that might cause people to stare then you should act as if it is the most common thing in the world and no big deal- strangers will take their cue from you and your friend will feel much safer. So much more to say I will definitely make a video on it! x

Great idea, some tips for how partners/friends/carers of the ill person can communicate to the outside world what is going on would also be great - especially when it's an on-and-off kind of illness.

The Dark Tower series. It's a beautiful tale with twists and turns and not what most people think of when it comes to Stephen King.

I just finished "Under The Dome" by him and 99% of the book was great. 1%, however, had me crying, standing on the arm of my sofa, clutching my cat and screaming for someone to save me. From. A. Book. The Dark Towers aren't scary. They are about an amazing group of people from very different walks of life that become a family and what they go through to save the world. I cried so hard. Full on ugly cry with snot bubbles. It was amazing.

For books I'd suggest you check out Christmas at Mistletoe Cottage! It's the second book in a series of three, but focuses on Mandy Hope's (a young veterinarian) return to her childhood home. I'm not sure if you guys ever liked/heard of the Animal Ark series, but these books are a modern-day continuation of that series for adults.
It's pretty cheery and Christmasy and is all about animals, you might enjoy it.

Finding you're channel has been one of the best things that happened to me in a long time. I'm a 16-year-old girl and I'm 100% sure I'm a lesbian and I'm dating this wonderful girl, but so many people (teacher/sibling) tell me that I'm young and I don't know what I want and I'm just being edgy. I haven't come know my parents because I know they'll disown me if I do. But hearing about ur "coming out" story and how ur super girly (like me, I'm obsessed with vintage I wish it was acceptable to wear big puffy shirts everywhere) and still feel confident in ur sexuality really helps so thank u so much.
Claudia, I would reccomend: Trevor Noah - Born a Crime (it's amazingly written and really hard to put down because of all the wit and humor he uses to get you to read about basically a horrible part of history), Randall Munroe - What if? (if you are just a bit into silly questions answered way too throughly and scientificly with stick figures in explanatory drawings, you'll love this) and John O'Farrell - An Utterly Impartial History of Britain or 2000 Years Of Upper Class Idiots In Charge (it's the funniest way anyone ever has tried to teach you history, I promisse)

As someone who is learning ASL, I keep getting confused with your BSL. It is so fascinating learning about Sign Language from all over the world. You were actually one of the people who inspired me to sign. I want to work in a children's hospital one day and learning Sign will one day help me "speak" to young ones who may be deaf or even nonverbal. You inspire me with your awesome personality and you are such an inspiration to my Sister who has minor disabilities that make her think she would never find a girl who would love her. I have a rare disorder mostly found in boys and people with Down syndrome it’s called hirschsprung disease (I been having it for 18 years and still can’t spell it ) basically I have a missing nerve cell in my colon which makes it difficult for me to pass stool (I know gross) it’s hard and still effects me till this day and when It gets bad it makes my stomach hurt and I am usually in a ball trying to stop it It also comes with a heart murmur fatigue,chest pain and breathlessness I’ve had many surgeries and my family is basically poor because of all the surgeries (which you probably know are usually very expensive) it can last years or lifelong the doctors said it’ll probably effect me for the rest of my life I’m also a girl who likes girls (I mean there so pretty) anyway I’m ranting I love your videos and Your vintage style and how you educate people on chronic diseases Your a very inspiring person I hope you keep making videos for a long time
I like when some of Claudia’s favorites are shown too. I love wearing things like Jessica. I feel beautiful wearing that kind of clothing but I am a busy college student and sometimes it’s not feasible. The large skirts aren’t great with the kinds of seating in the classrooms and really not in the lecture halls. Some days I don’t have the energy to deal with things like tights and lots of layers or cleaning more delicate things. And someday I need to get dressed and go somewhere and I need to pick out an outfit while half asleep and in the dark and when that happens my style tends to turn way more towards Claudia’s and I like to see those suggestions as well. Also my mother isn’t a huge fan of me wearing skirts so when I’m with her I’m more often than not wearing jeans and a blouse because I know it makes her happier to see me like that and my affinity for skirts is less than my dislike for hearing my mom discuss her uncertainty of the practicality or seasonal appropriateness of my outfit.

You guys are so cute and just so fun to watch, a very smart and intelligent couple!
I'm not too sure what you like, but if you are into medical crime drama, then 'Tell Me Your Dreams' by Sidney Sheldon is particularly good. If you like a good Agatha Christie, however, 'Murder in Mesopotamia' or 'They Do It With Mirrors' or anything with Poirot is quite entertaining. They are quite short though, so maybe get a few. 'To Kill A Mockingbird' is one of my all time favourite books (if you haven't read that already but i'm assuming you may have done for GCSE. Also we dont read that anymore for GCSE. Can we just take a moment to mourn? Thank you). If you want some hardcore law stuff, I'd recommend any John Grisham, though my favourite of his is 'The Testament'. If you want something dark and magical obviously Harry Potter but also 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern is quite gripping. If you want something a bit more historical, possibly WW2 themed, then 'The Book Thief' by Marcus Zusak, or 'Two Brothers' by Ben Elton are good (i found the latter particularly gripping). If you don't mind some gore but with a downright random plot twist at the end (but still makes sense) 'The Wasp Factory' by Iain Banks is really good. If you want a few classics, 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' is sooo good but requires you to constantly read between the lines. Or if you want a great tale about a manipulative lesbian vampire, 'Carmilla' by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu is good. Oh, and if you want to read any book where the two main (female) characters fall in love, anything by Sarah Waters is great, for example, 'Fingersmith' (which a ruddy great big book in itself and is about fraud and lies) or 'Affinity' (which is about ghosts and spirit mediums and stuff) both of which are set in Victorian England and written as if they were in that time period too. I think I've given a good range of books, but mind you a couple are YA books. Good luck finding a book! xx

But let's be real Claudia, if you watched/read Tipping the Velvet and weren't obsessed with Nancy King then you're just lying to yourself. Also, I don't know how much you'd like this, but i think Jessica might find this interesting, but there is a book called 'The Song of Achilles' all about the Battle of Troy and as a cute side plot Achilles and the main (awkward and clumsy - who doesn't relate) character Patroclus fall in love (can you see a theme with the books i like i'm just going to leave now k bye)
