BTW Kidada was a bad influence on Aaliyah’s teenage years. It’s because of people like her that Babygirl was forced to grow up too fast. She also seemed like an opportunist to me dating Tupac and wanting to drop a fashion line in the midst of that. It all just screams ‘I want to be famous’

@@noranjoku7651 kidada did admit to getting her into wild things and a bit of trouble so I believe you she spoke about a trip they took once and Aaliyah snuck off and did something she didn't say what it was.

Ananda seems like such a sweet spirit, she reminds me of Aaliyah in that way. It’s just sad to think of all the potential Aaliyah had that is now gone. It wasn’t only her career, but her friendships too.

Aaliyah and Ananda Lewis friendship's was short and bittersweet. They both seem so smart, cool, chill, driven and down to earth. I know Ananda Lewis has been dealing with alot as far as being a breast cancer survivor etc but she is strong minded and I think its cool she has a passion for carpentry because not too many women have that as a trade. It shows how strong their bond was nearly 21 years after Aaliyah's passing that Ananda still gets teary eyed listening to Aaliyah's music. We all miss and love Aaliyah so much! I would love to see you do a video on her friendship with Static Major, Ginuwine, her brother, glam squad, Brandy, Monica, Beyonce and Usher. This was another great video Tony!

I remember Anada Lewis and when she was on MTV . I kinda fiigured they were friends . Aaliyah was friends with everyone she came across. She just had that sweet personality . Everyone loved her so this really isn't surprising . I see why Ananda gets emotional about Aaliyah . I get like that too . That's something that happens with me . Especially cause she was my age but 10 months older than me before she died . Who didn't love Aaliyah come on

Beautiful friends. I had no idea. I cried like a baby when Aaliyah passed. I was in high school. The next day they were talking about it on the radio over the school bus and I started crying but surprisingly the other kids didn’t laugh at me, they consoled me as if I lost a family member lol. I went to school in the hood too. Never heard about it again, kids never made fun of me for it but they laughed about other shit like when my mom bought me this fly ass silver puff jacket set with the gloves and hat. I couldn’t wait to wear it, so I wore it too soon. It wasn’t full winter yet Lmao. They was like why u got all that hot ass shit on and some damn timberlands in the fall 😂😂😂😂. I called my mama to bring me some different shoes but she wouldn’t. I took all that shit off, balled it up and stuffed it in my locker Lmao, which made it even worse cuz they was like “look, we ribbed (roasted) her ass so bad she took all that shit off. 😭😭😭. I’m 35 now and I miss high school and new Aaliyah music terribly. Wish I could go back and warn Aaliyah that she was right to be afraid of that plane. She knew something wasn’t right smh

I can remember meeting Ananda back in 2005 when me and my cousins went to 100.3 the beat radio station.Her and John sally had a morning show and we got to be on the radio for a lil bit and they talked to us, I sat a few like a foot away from her and I wanted to ask her what Aaliyah was like so bad but I didn’t have the courage so I didn’t ask.Ananda will always be my connection to Aaliyah,I was happy I got to talk to someone who was actually in Aaliyahs presence at one point and was a good friend.I will never forget that.

I remember reading something that Aaliyah and Ananda had a falling out before Aaliyah’s crash. Apparently the rift between them started before the 2000 VMAs.
If you watch the clip of them presenting together that night, Aaliyah kind of looked less enthused standing next to Ananda. Aaliyah’s body language towards her was kind of icy for them to be so tight if they were.
