It's still an (D)ARPANET. Military installation given to the public, so they can spy on themselves.
Who are you, who do you know, what's your job and hobby, what do you think (politics, religion etc.), places you travel, people you met and so on.
The same with GSM and GPS (military tool released to the public so they can be tracked).
I met a KGB man about 20 years ago when Russia fell apart and see from time to time. He exsplains how a lot hits are set up and done in quick fashion and person is gone in week or so. Very good as always.
I was in the Army Special Forces posted in Massachusetts. I noticed certain store owners were very friendly, always asking what I do, where have I been traveling ... very odd to me (I was a Green Beret). One day we had a huge meeting with the CIA & FBI in a large sealed auditorium. The FBI said there were 90 known KGB agents in our immediate area of the Post. They started showing pictures with a brief Bio of each spy. Several were the guys always asking me questions. I keep remembering the movie with Charles Bronson "Miles to go before I sleep." There are many spies and informants out here.
May have been the case in the past, yes. But now, the situation is practically reversed. The FBI and CIA are essentially today what the KGB were in yesteryear. That is actual and factual. This nonsensical notion that todays 21st century Russian Federation is somehow âcommunistâ is preposterous as well as downright goofy. Russia is ten times a Christian country in 2022 than the U.S. was even thirty years ago. They literally build four to five brand new Orthodox churches EVERY WEEK, whilst in America we continue to hold degenerate pride parades and destroy our traditional institutions.
Russia has completely rebuilt all their institutions from the ground up; the United Russia Party (President Putinâs former party) is one of the countryâs leading traditional conservative political parties. Today, the Russian president works with the All-Russia Peopleâs Front, a traditional conservative-led political coalition with some civic nationalist as well as other types of Russian political parties. They are fully national and feature a wide array of political groups within Russia who promulgate and promote the political thought of the Russian president and his cabinet. You just have to bear in mind that these labels like âconservativeâ or âliberalâ do not carry the exact same meanings in the East the way they do in the Anglosphere, or anywhere in the West, for that matter. You canât expect these labels to correspond accordingly, that is not how it works.
Iâm about sick to my stomach of hearing people mistakenly make asinine statements such as, âRussia is communistâŠâ or âPutin is KGBâ. Putin WAS indeed KGB, yes. Was. But so would have anyone been, had they had any kind of employment in security services. It would be like saying, âoh, that guy was Scotland Yard, so, to hell with himâ. This just proves too many people in the West do not understand Russian geopolitics within an Eastern context. They continue to foolishly make the mistake of applying American/Western socio-political frameworks onto Eurasian institutions. It does not work that way, at all.

@@newageintimidator I read a book years ago in which that poem was used a trigger for hypnotized agents, they were literally sleeper agents completely unconscious of being spies until they heard the poem. The twist at the end of the book was the man getting instructions from the other sleeper agents didn't remember he himself had been placed onder drug induced hypnosis and one of the other agents used a command phrase on him.. Maybe I should see if can find a copy of Telefon.

Brilliant Episode! As a writer and history buff I can tell you that Espionage and the Crime world are very closely related. I read Jack's book Deep Undercover a couple years back and highly recommend it to anybody interested in Cold War history.

I knew you were secretly at a James Bond conference! This is very interesting! People would be shocked at how they are spied on by their own government much less others. The saddest truth in all of this, and I believe that it has always been true, is that American soldiers and Russian soldiers, American and Cuban soldiers, American and Chinese soldiers, insert whatever combination, the common man in each country would, if given the chance, get along just fine with the common man from any other country.
Politicians start wars. The boots on the ground never start wars. But politicians never fight wars. They just send others to fight and die, fighting against someone they might otherwise get along just fine with.
This is true. Just look at the Word War 1 Christmas Truces where both sides set down their arms. There was a famous soccer game that the Germans won 3-2. âAt 8.30am I fired three shots in the air and put up a flag with âMerry Christmasâ on it, and climbed onto the parapet,â wrote Captain JC Dunn, of the Royal Welch Fusiliers. âThe German Captain appeared on the parapet - he put up a sheet with âThank Youâ on it. We both bowed and saluted and got down into our respective trenches, and he fired two shots in the air, and the war was on again.â
The problem that you don't understand is that your thoughts are exactly like the majority, your opinion about that is just a popular opinion and mediocre at least.
See Cuban and American soldiers would never get along, because again after the elite always comes the military who stands up to protect both their people and Government. What people like you who stupid mediocre thoughts like this or something like is America's fault is that all of you just blame USA for literally what all of them do wrong.
It ain't the Cubans fault for their dictatorship, but let me remind you that most of the soldiers of US are painted as criminals when they are fight for their families and very way of life.
Cubans military exists to protect Socialist parties and give a damn about their people. People with very little knowledge think this is pointless and etc when it's not.

I have faith and fears. Fears don't suddenly disappear. Everyone is afraid of something but some are better at facing them. From what I've seen fear is a great motivator. Most successful men I know were so scared of failing that it pushed them to succeed.
