Beautiful.! Impeccable run through sunlit streets of green south-west London. By nature of it's location, it would naturally be verdant and countryfied towards Heathrow. Airports can't be on the built-up areas of the central metropolis. The trip was like taking a country run rather than the outskirts of England's major metropolis. Very injoyable Graham. Thank you for posting.
Sorry I disagree about the route being a countrified one. The route is mainly suburban up to Hounslow, and although there is less housing closer to Heathrow (such as on the A30) the landscape is mainly light industrial areas than open green fields. Hatton Cross is all asphalt, as is the Southern Perimeter Road. A couple of Tfl routes that I would say do take you through real country scenery are the 498 from (Romford to Brentwood), and the 405 (Croydon to Redhill).
Jeremy, we have different geographic points of reference. If I go to town it's Tel Aviv, which, sadly, hasn't half the tree-lined streets South London has. London through the eyes of an ex-pat is wistfully enjoying the tree-lined streets of London suberbia. @@jeremyrogers1247

Thank you Geoff. The third runway looks in doubt now.

Thank you for showing us the two journeys. Not sure I would remember the route along those airport roads.
No - not somewhere you would normally drive. The road names start with the points of the compass.
