If you feel worthy then you probably shouldn't be partaking in communion, if communion was dependent on our own personal righteousness then nobody could ever take it.

So often we hear this marvelous teaching narrowed down to a few minutes in a darkened auditorium truing to decide whether or not WE are worthy, then we eat and drink.
    WE are not worthy.
    It's really ALL ABOUT HIM!!
Do this in remembrance of ME, HE said.
Also it's about our relationship with others and how we treat them.
Get these three things which are among the six, and get the other three right .. this is Communion.

2 And they did kneel down with the church, and pray to the Father in the name of Christ, saying:
3 O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. • @Mygoalwogel
    @Mygoalwogel Před 2 lety +2

The Bible does not only say that the Lord's Supper is done in remembrance:
Matthew 26:28 Jesus calls it the blood of the covenant.
Hebrews 9:20 The author quotes Moses saying the exact same words about real blood. There is no precedent here for saying "is" means "represents."
1 Corinthians 10:16 The bread and the cup are a koinonia (co-union/intimacy/participation/contribution/distribution) of the body and blood of Christ.
1 Cor 11:20 There is an objectively true Lord's Supper. Unreconciled schism within the congregation make it objectively not the Lord's Supper.
1 Cor 10:21-22 The Lord, whose name is Jealous, is jealous of his cup and his table.
1 Cor 11:23 The Lord specifically and personally revealed the Supper to Paul.
1 Cor 11:27 Misuse of the Lord's Supper is not just a bad reenactment. It makes you guilty of sin against the very body and blood of the Lord.
1 Cor 11:28-30 Mere reenactments do not require earnest soul searching on pain of punishment and death.
Therefore true Christian faith in these words: "This is my body which is for you, … This is my blood of the new covenant," must take all into account.
1 Cor 5:11 We are not to eat even secular food with christians who do not accept correction. Guests, whose lives are unknown to the pastor, should be catechised first. "Revilers" (who insult our face value belief) are rightly excluded.

One of the contentions in the great schism of 1054 was that Rome wanted to start using unleavened bread for the Eucharist. The eastern church wanted to continue using leavened bread. This is interesting because that means they had been using leavened bread. Was the last supper the unleavened meal? I believe it was not because it was done on the 14th the day that the crucifixion happened and the lamb was slain. It was not until the evening Of the 15th after the lamb was slain and the sun set to start the 15th that the Unleavened meal was eaten. I’m too lazy to look up all the references but that was the pattern set down by Yehovah in Torah.

Read your Bible and pay attention to what Jesus said. He said 'do this in remebrance'. It is to commemurate just as the passover was to remind the Jews of how God delivered them out of Egyptian bondage. Are Jews made whole when the receive the passover or when they follow the law? Christians are made whole upon the profession & action of our faith in Jesus Christ. You are made whole by your faith & actions in Christ. Communion commemurates. You are whole even before you take communion. Once you profess & act on your faith in Christ you are whole. You never get unwhole nor further need to be whole. From there you work out your salvation while trying to live a life that does not 'practice' sin.

Taken in context, Paul was admonishing the church for how they behaved when they came together, in drunkenness and in mistreating the poor among them. THAT was definitely an unworthy manner. This is not about our worthiness primarily but the disrespect toward members of the body, thus coming in a separation foreign to the unity that Jesus expects of his church. No one can ever say “I am worthy”, but can only come in the worthiness of Christ.

How in the world will someone who works the first day of the week take communion. Furthermore, why is it that people don't realize that we are no longer bound to a legalistic approach to serving Christ. All Jesus said was do it in remembrance as often as possible. Paul adds worthily and now people are confused. If the Spirit of Christ lives in you then we should know when we are unworthily taking communion. Man's interpretation falls sooooo short of God's intention. We condemn & enslave ourselves to the traditions of men when we have already been freed from it. God help us please, we are still not getting it. Lastly, it is a covenant. Everyone knows that GOD and NOT MAN that keeps covenant

the encrypted message took place telepathically. In the Lord's Supper there was only telepathy and telepathic speaking with the bridge of the nose. And Judas betrayed Jesus with these words. The disciples of Jesus could all telepthate, pull themselves together and make them invisible and teleport and move objects with their thoughts, i.e. telekinesis. They talked more telepathically than with words.

Is this an offering for sin as per Hebrews 10.18. Has anyone noticed Jesus does not ask the disciples to confess any sin prior to receiving his body and blood. Is the confession of sin stated in 1Cor 11. In John 6 where is the confession of sin prior to partaking. In Hebrews 10 where the new covenant is stated where is the confession of sin prior to verse 17. ? Please re read these instances and notice the absence of confession.

    1. The lord's supper is a commitment to a meal... do this
    2. It is a covenant meal...a means of grace by which we come before the Lord.... this cup is the new covenant
    3. It is a Christ sealed mea. We receive the selfless christl .... this is my body
    4. It is a community or meal....we build relationships with one another. there is one loaf and one meal
    5. It is a continual meal... whenever we eat and drink we proclaim Christ death until He comes
    6. It is a contemplative meal, we look to the future...I will not take this meal with you until it is fulfilled in the kingdom
    7. It is a coming home meal...we come back as sinners to our saviour, but not as perfect people. It is for a lifelong repentance.

@@bretherenlee1404 14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.
Contrast that with Eph 2:1-22 and you come up with a different group but nowhere does it say only 144000 get to heaven and the rest stay on earth. Bad teaching .
