    Big shout out from Manitoba, Canada. We are tired of masks, vaccines, and mandates! Most of all we are tired of the liars, and the sellouts/government leaders that do NOT care about our safety.

    I wept while I was listening to this. I cry out to God for strength to bow to none but Jesus. I cry out for courage to not love my life more than I love my God. I cry out for eyes to be opened, for the veil to be removed, for believers to love the truth and not be deceived. I cry out for mercy from God to deliver us from tyrants. I cry out for my children to love God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. I cry because this message that is from God Almighty to His church is a call to get ready because this message will have consequences. God's dividing line is drawn right through the middle of our hearts and as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

      @Psalm 2:8-9 I'm assuming, by your name, that you are a believer. But I'm confused about how you have been responding to people's comments. You are just being down right rude and mean. There are ways of getting your opinion and ideas across without attacking our brothers and sisters in Christ. Sometimes it's hard to read people's true feelings in their postings, I get that, but to call God's people names saddens us and just causes unnecessary division in the church body. Plus, your salvation isn't hinged on what color you think Jesus was. He was Jewish which tells me he wasn't black. But hey, I'll look into it. Have a good day.

    • @ffemtjake
      @ffemtjake Před 3 lety +14

      @Psalm 2:8-9 considering none of us were alive when those atrocities you mention were occurring, it's kinda hard for you to make the accusation that we wouldn't have drawn the line. Also shows how even you acknowledge that governments are capable of committing great evils. Your attempt to move the goal post and shift the burden of proof unto us reveals an inconsistency in your view. So why don't you answer the original question you were asked: does the Christian have a responsibility to stand against a tyrannical government? Or do we allow them to take free reign in this world and follow their every order, even in opposition to God's Word?

    • @ffemtjake

I'm happy to hear your explanation though so we can discuss what I actually believe further and what you believe and maybe use scripture to confirm it.

      Agreed. However, we don't need to overcomponsate to make a point. Jeff is sloppy in the use of "rightoues deception" (timestamp 54:18): Would the principle of "righteous deception" be applicable in, say, the lunchroom if a grade-schooler is bullying another kid and asks, "what is in your lunch?" What about the boardroom and reporting false numbers to damage the company because the company you work for is supporting abortion? What about the bedroom: admitting to adultery would damage your already "frail and failing" husband? Pastor Jeff, what is the principle or ironclad standard to keep the idea of "righteous deception" from becoming deception by design?

Please forgive me if I speak amiss here but I sense also that your relationship with the Lord, your experience of His presence, is not shared by many people around you which can make you feel strange, alone. It saddens the spirit when one has to quell their joy because they do not see the same joy in Christians around them. It sounds like you have surpassed the wisdom of those around you. You have a very special relationship with God, a special gifting. Do not be surprised if you do not discover many others that share it. My prayer for you is that God will grow you in your confidence that you hear His voice. It can liberate you.

Now we have one service with optional mask but temp and mask to enter. I have a really hard time going along with the deceit so we watch from home and only go to the twice a month evening worship where no mask or temp is required. Masks are “required” in almost all stores but illegal to enforce. I’m the only one not wearing them in stores and just recently was told to leave even though I said my doctor does not want me to wear a mask (true). The manager was nice but called the police, who ignored the law and refused to discuss it with me even though I was calmly explaining to them that it was illegal for them to deny me equal access. He was going to arrest me for trespassing if I didn’t leave (illegal arrest!). I get sad thinking of what kind of world my children and grandchildren will grow up in and just pray they cling to Christ.

      Get out, Joseph Smith was a false prophet. Its easy to be saved, Romans 10:9-10 is how, then let the bible "speak" to you and have that as your revelation, do not, i repeat DO NOT add to it! You are saved by grace trough faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) in the finished work of Christ. Things i havent heard apologia studios speak of like the future millenial kingdom of Christ and the rapture could be because they teach a deeply traditional form of calvinism which didnt teach these concepts. Here I disagree strongly and some roman catholic errors followed into the early reformed churches, but hey, its not a salvation issue and all in all they have a great pastor based on what i have seen of him, and i wouldnt mind sitting in this church. I rarely hear my favourite churches teach sermons like this, and this makes up for whats lacking in escheatology. But false prophets like Joseph Smith and yes roman catholicism IS DEFINITLY a salvation issue!

      One thing I can tell you for sure is God certainly doesn't allow slavery.
      I'm just saying then telling us not to go to church is direct violation of God's commandments for us. For example wearing a mask however isn't, I don't like it and speak against it but I do it. Follow me?

    Interesting the examples that Jeff uses from the Bible. The midwives from Exodus, the accounts in Daniel chapters 3 & 6, and the disciples in Acts chapters 4, 5. All resisted the state when told to do something against God's commands. Yet all of them submitted to the punishment that the state demanded for their disobedience.
    None of them took up arms in resistance to the state.
    Contrast that to the New England pastors that Jeff was praising for picking up their rifles and fighting the British.

    One problem, you didn't represent the King Darius correctly when it came to Daniel bowing down and worshiping his God. You said it ticked the King off enough to put him in the lion's den, yet that's not exactly how the story goes.. as soon as he found out if was Daniel, the King sought how to free him,
    13Then they answered and said before the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or the injunction you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”
    14Then the king, when he heard these words, was much distressed and set his mind to deliver Daniel. And he labored till the sun went down to rescue him. 15Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or ordinance that the king establishes can be changed.”
    Yeah he ended up throwing him in the den of the lion's but it wasn't because he was ticked off at Daniel for worshiping his God, it was because the document he signed could not be broken according to the law of the Persians. So yeah. Be faithful to the text, that's all I'm saying. Other than that , good sermon bro

      He inadvertently mixed up the king's response with the fiery furnace episode in chapter 3, which is a forgivable mistake, as he admitted several times that he needed to condense and hurry up the message for time. The point about boldly praying with the windows open under threat of punishment mustn't be lost. Also good to note the difference between Daniel's example of courage and the vanity of some. Jesus told us to not be like the pharisees who make a show of prayer to impress others, but to pray in earnest and in private. So yes, there's times like today when disobeying governors' immoral mask mandates is what we must do out of love for God and others.

    I love how pastor pointed out throughout the teaching that love for God and our neighbors motivates resistance to tyrants.
    This is a great counter to the popular notion that we need to comply with edicts that the tyrant says are for our neighbor’s “safety” because compliance proves our love and compassion. And how we are selfish and unloving to resist.
    To be jealous for our neighbor’s freedom - spiritually, emotionally and physically - is at least as honorable as desiring his good health.

      The verse is talking about a Holy government. Government was only ever meant to be a representation of God in earth. It wasn’t talking about obeying an antichrist Beast System that we see today, as many people will interpret it. To be logically consistent if we believed it as that, we would also have to obey Satan. Satan certainly has a lot of authority that was given to him by God (even way more than government has), but we are not to obey Satan. We are not to obey evil.

When he says we disobey the government when it forbids what God commands and commands what God forbids, and then talks about the war for independence, I am struggling to see the connection. What was it the British were commanding or forbidding that was contrary to God's commands? Forgive me if I'm missing the obvious, or my historical knowledge is poor.

    @freshstartboys3581 Před 3 lety +14

    What he is saying is not consistent with the Scriptures or the history of the church that the Scriptures expose. Paul NEVER encouraged people to defy or resist the government in their communities he visited, except when it came to not denying Jesus Christ. Jesus said "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were..." You will never win everyone to Christ. Jesus didn't. Paul didn't. Peter didn't. John didn't. Nobody did. In fact, in Acts, Paul said to Jews: "It was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles." In instances where they were imprisoned wrongly (by the state), neither Jesus, nor Paul nor Peter encouraged their followers to physically fight for them. Jesus even chastised Peter for trying to defend Jesus Himself. And, there is no Scriptural record that the church made any physical assaults to protect anyone from dying a martyr's death. They gathered and prayed and fasted, as a community of believers, instead. So, if by resistance and defiance, we are talking about (1) standing rather than bowing to another image, (2) praying despite an edict not to, (3) praying and worshipping God, (4) speaking the Truth even when people don't want to hear it or even when they make it illegal, THEN, Scripture agrees with you. If we are talking about physical resistance, that is not representative of the Scriptural example God has given us.
    You can come up with some pretty wacky justifications, if you start interpreting "love you neighbor" any way your flesh wants you to see it. Not being silent and being aggressive are very different things.
