Since this is a hard mode run, I may talk about spoilers and upcoming events before they happen. Keep this in mind if you haven't played the game for yourself.

So I know this is really late but in case you see this comment here's what I recommend:
Go generally toward Impa but procrastinate and take a bunch of detours to get orbs and koroks so you can you know maybe not get one-shot, then get to the part where impa gives you the quest of regaining your memories and do that but once again a long the way procrastinate and take a detour over behind the castle
Horses. Forget everything else. Just do at least the beginner horse quests and then go and get the special horses.
Or, ya know, get a house, but that one will definitely take a little more time.

I feel like every episode deserves a sacrifice to the river gods.
The river demands sustenance, and it only accepts slightly feminine elf boys.
