Many ppl’s noses will interpret Almond or Heliotrope notes and register them as root beer smells. Some will not pick it up if they are anosmic to certain notes. Also your brain registers notes differently on any given day depending on mood, hormones, temperature and age of person. That’s why I just love perfume...it’s a true joy ride in life. Maybe you could try some Indie/Niche fragrances to see if those appeal to you. There are some truly delicious gourmand niche perfumes out there. Lovely review 💕

To me Hypnotic Poison smells like a bomb of vanilla and nuts, just vanilla nutty goodnes and i love it, it's a bit airy too

How did I miss this new video!? I am on a huge nostalgic run today, and just added an old love to my collection, albeit it's not the exact incredible '80's formulation; that beauty is Poison by Dior. I know it's been years since that little pre-teen me sniffed and fell in love with it, yes a kid fell in love with it, but I remember that smooth, potent beautiful scent like it was yesterday. The other mood enhancer which I have on right now, eating some European chocolates and enjoying wonderful memories, is the oldie classic White Shoulders. To me it is so special because when I was little, my mother would wear it, and since I lost her to cancer almost six years ago, it means SO much more; I feel her love enveloping me. Later on, I gave her Lancôme's Tresor, one of my favorites. Let me tell you, she could rock that scent like no other, and it is her signature. I have a bottle of it sitting on a beautiful pedestal and feel the same extra love, comfort, and confidence when I wear it as with the White Shoulders.
Well, sorry this is so long, but that's the mood right now. I love your channel and have bought a few new additions on your recommendation, like Gucci II (LOVE IT), Lancôme Midnight Rose, La Nuit Tresor, yes, I agree it IS sex in a bottle...purrrrr. The La Vie est Belle Eclat is incredibly beautiful; I bought two sets from HSN for an incredible Black Friday deal, plus $20 bucks off each $99 bucks spent, I could go on. So excited to wear it all the time!
Oh my Goodness! Thank you for sharing the story about your momma’s love for fragrances and how those scents can keep her close to your heart and memories. Hugs to you sweetie. Im so happy we do share memories and fragrances play such a huge part of those memories. I know White Shoulders very well Indeed. My momma loves that one. She has fallen in love with Tresor EDP and Last year she fell in love with a perfume I wore , Armani Code Cashmere! ♥️🥰

Dior Poison has been my signature scent for many many years, however, in recent years I wear Hypnotic Poison just as often. LOVE IT!!! I don't hear people talk much about Bvlgari fragrances but there are a lot of iconic scents from Bvlgari. When I wear Bvlgari BLV, I get tons of compliments.
Not sure I can follow you down the Jessica Simpson or Katy Perry scent trail......I'm 58 and most of those fragrances are way too 'candy-like'. I did buy Purr because I love the kitty bottle but the perfume is quite cloy on my skin.
Lancôme La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat is a stunning fragrance. Much more mature and sophisticated than the original La Vie Est Belle.

I agree with perfume being a mood enhancer! Depending on my mood I select my perfume. I love wearing Fancy at night before I go to bed. Since I take a shower in the morning I can smell sweet and feminine at night and put on a new one in the morning. Would love to try Mon Paris...great selections! Thanks for sharing. 😘

Jodi Peacock Winter started to come already, but decided to take a little break. It’s was around 40 degrees and raining today, and can trick you into thinking Spring is coming. It will be back to below freezing Tuesday.
Today was in the High 70’s and by Tuesday we will be in the low 50’s. We have some crazy weather here in Texas! 😂

Hypnotic poison..I remember when I first sniffed it longgg time ago. One of my first designer fragrances I purchased. I just sniffed it for atleast 30 minutes and it’s the first time I started using adjectives to describe a perfume and and that’s when you know. Lol it’s so buttery, almond-y, sweet and wrapping in ambiance... hypnotizing. The name is on point.
Hypnotic Poison is very popular in Denmark and a signature scent for many women. I recognize it a lot - even when we flew to Cape Verde in January...the woman who sat next to me smelled ...Hypnotic Poison!!

Good Morning! I used Tresor La Nuit one night when I went to the movies. It’s one of my Favs. I plan to add it more In my upcoming videos as the temps start to drop. I adore pure poison and wore it a few times for work. It’s such a nice inoffensive scent. If I listed all of my perfumes I wore in 3 months you would be watching hours of videos 😂 love and Hugs to you and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! ❤️

La vie est belle edp is my sotd. I love it alot. I will have to try out the eclat version heard so many good things about it. I have fancy by Jessica simpson it's a celebrity scent that is the bomb.com

Great selection Jodi 💕 I have a large collection, but my most worn in Fall have been Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon and Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir Black Perfecto. I’ve also been loving the note of Iris in my perfume choices.

I just love your character because you are always very warm and honest. I love Hypnotik Poison on me it smells more like vanilla and coconut. La nuit Tresor is my favorite perfume I like to wear it on my scarf or when I go out. But this month, as far as I can remember, I've worn the most Black Opium and sweet like candy from Ariana Grande. Since you also like gourmand scents like me, I can wholeheartedly recommend the perfume of Yves Rocher bois sensual. It smells very strongly of spicy vanilla with a light honey note that blends with the sweetest caramel.

I just picked up Dolce and Gabanna Pour Femme as a blind buy based on reviews(you know me the bargain shopper-$59 at my tj maxx). It is gorgeous-sweet and creamy! And the packaging is simple but so luxe. Super excited about it. Notes are raspberry, marshmallow, vanilla, jasmine, heliotrope and I think sandalwood. Have you tried it? I think you would love it!
No and my TJ MAXX is awful. It doesn’t have anything. I need to get a PO Box and have everyone send me samples!! 🥰♥️♥️♥️

Do you think the la vie est belle l'eclat version is better that the original ?
I think it’s different, but similar. The opening is brighter and the dry down is sweeter. It isn’t one dimensional . I like the flanker a tad more!🥰
