I haven't read up on the Numark yet but it looks like it uses serato? As this is a beginner to mid level controller (like the FLX6) having the ability to try multiple platforms such as serato and rekordbox id have to hand the win to the FLX6. I'd be keen for a review or comparison video! Love your work! Thanks!

Being a complete beginner I went for the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX after watching a bunch of reviews, and man it has been such a fun experience learning on that controller. Definitely not a perfect controller, but has many features other controller in the same range don't, and for me I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Definitely recommend it if you're thinking of getting into DJ !

Hey Mr Carlo! Always a pleasure to find your new post on my feed. I think this gear is one of the best serato dj mixer but I already have mixtrack pro FX so didn`t appeal to me much. It would be a dream come true that numark made a stand alone 4ch mixer with Engine OS with 7±inch display build in and 16 pads with external controller inputs under $1000. And my guess is that they will release something like it within the year. Anyway, I'm still waiting for the Rev7 vs Rane one video. Keep it up! Thank you always!

The awesome things about this controller is the ability to mix 4 decks on a budget PLUS the professional audio output No perfect tho but I'm looking for it Sadly no local retailers here that sell this at this moment

I usually use my headphones when I'm making the mix, but I don't for the final video because the cable tends to just bounce everywhere, and I want to really showcase what happens on the controller. But yes! Go for it Alaya! The 4 deck function on this controller is amazing!
Ok, it's getting interesting. First we had Numark Mixtrack Pro FX and Platinum FX which is literally cheaper, 2-channel mixer featuring basic inputs/outputs compared to the NS4FX. Then Numark released Mixstream Pro which looks like Mixtrack Pro with Engine OS and external speakers. Now, we have this NS4FX. I wish Numark plan to create some kind of NS4FX with Engine OS - then I will upgrade from my Platinum FX :D Carlo, how the jogwheels feels compared to Platinum FX and Mixstream? Many DJ's mentioned that they're not so responsive. As Platinum FX is my first and only controller I can't compare it's responsivity but definitely learning scratching feels like nightmare (maybe I'm just bad :d). These from NS4FX looks like the same one as in Platinum FXbut maybe something have changed something in the responsivity? And as always - perfect mix!
Hey man! Let me be honest with you. The Numark jog wheels aren't good for scratching. The jog wheels are just too heavy for my personal tastes. So if you want to scratch, these units will be a challenge. That doesn't mean you can't though. It's just harder on the Numark :(
I use this board for streaming. Had it for over a year now. Its been petty good but it doesn't see as much action as my mobile unit. I really like the effects paddles , thats the strength, the mics are the weak point. If it had better mic inputs , i would have used it at some events. If any DJs need a good controller for a spare, or practice at home or streaming, this works well but bring a mixer for mics. Carlo, as always, killer job
Great mix! You helped me out today. I had "Milkshake" in my list but I was on the fence whether to use it or not (I like to mix it with "We need some more girls in here!" because, you know- "the boys are waiting"). What I like about this mixer is it is one of the few that has the trigger levers for the effects and is four channel. I also like the slate grey color (at least that is how it looks with the light on the video). I would consider it better than the FLX, which is too gimmicky for me (but does have nice big jogs). Have you ever tried doing the same mix on two different controllers just to see how the controller would affect the mix?
I actually haven't, but that's a great idea! I'll try giving this same mix a shot with the FLX6, but I really doubt I'll be able to rightly recreate it.
@@djcarlo Every mix is different, even on the same controller (at least that is what happens to me)- but each controller has its nuances like a musical instrument. I actually tried it to see. I did one mix on a Pioneer Set Up, then I switched out the mixer for the Xone 96. I thought I would be limited on the Xone (no built in effects, just powerful filters and 4 band eq) but it actually challenged me to find a way to do the mixes with out the effects. Most people liked the Xone versions better, it was subtle and less flashy (I thought most would like the Pioneer one better). They even thought the Xone mix had better sound quality (although I can't imagine the Xone would beat the 900 in that category).
Really great 👌 I think there is the same problem with the platinum FX, when you use a pad, there is a little delay like I see on your video 👌 Great mix 👍

It is way better than the flx6. FLX6 exists just because of its brand name. Long pitch faders More useful jog screen. Effects paddles. Professional XLR out. FLX6 is a lot less professional than this.

Indeed! This is a pretty good controller. So highly underrated. Only drawback for me, as a scratch DJ, is the heavy jog wheels

Personally, I'd go for the NS4FX. Jogwheels may be a bit heavy, but its got a good set of features and the programs it works with constantly update

It's really a blast to mix on! And having 4 dedicated channels is always a treat for these kinds of mixes
Pioneer DDJ FLX6 does NOT have balanced Outputs.. WTF.. and seems more suited to Recordbox over Serato... so NS4FX for me.
As a Pioneer mixer, the FLX6 is indeed more attuned to Rekordbox. The NS4FX is a pretty great controller!
