I've always felt like both Jlo and Ben only chose to be with others as a comfort or healing balm to their broken heart & soul. Jen G was a safe place for Ben but he was never in love with her. Same goes for Marc and all of JLos partners. They were just temporary fill ins to stop their bleeding hearts until they made their way back to eachother. Never have either of them glowed like they do now when they're in eachothers presence. It's beautiful to witness true soul mates. I couldn't be happier for them. Values, principles, ideals, communication and parenting styles and goals often differ between a couple, making a pair grow apart. Other times a major breach or rupture occurs in a relationship that drives a wedge between a couple. Even demanding careers can change two people to a point where they are no longer spending adequate time together to sustain a relationship, leading to emotional and physical affairs, etc. Substance abuse problems that the addict is unwilling to address, can tear a couple apart.
You marry with the hope for it to work but if it doesn't and you gave your 110% it's all good, you release the past easily and hold no grudges because you know you can rebuild because of the material you are made of, because of the strength, love and resilience within you, you are and feel complete and the right partner will be a complement to you and vice versa

Says she and Foley separated in March ‘03, filed for divorce in May ‘03, and signed the papers making it officially over in March ‘04. She started dating Affleck August 2004. So it doesn’t seem she cheated.
I did see that it was a very private wedding ceremony though.. with only two guests. I wonder if that’s because Affleck was coming off the heels of an extremely OVER-publicized relationship with JLO and wanted something very small.

You might be just right...cuz I always felt like he was not expressive towards Garner as much as JLo and she tried to compensate and put more effort into the marriage which I believe suffocated/smothered Ben as it seems she unconsciously became his mum. But who knows, these are just my musings.
