Im not even trying to learn german yet i managed to indeed absorb some vocabulary quiet easily. Thats an creative way of teaching

comprehensible input is so simple yet so effective I can't see why it is not yet that popular. I've learned german, spanish, and english the traditional way (classes and stuff, also my native language is portuguese) and although my english and spanish are pretty good I feel like my german is lacking severely. Now I'm learning japanese and found about the wonders of comprehensible input - therefore I feel inclined yet again to "relearn" german, and this video was perfect for it... thank you!
though it would be interesting if you could make a similar video in which the german is a bit more advanced (no need for slow speaking and stuff).
Good idea! I just need to think about what game I should use for that. I think I wouldn't do subtitles for an advanced video though.
Also a portuguese speaker here, I've been slacking on my language learning and I never heard of "comprehensible input". I'll look into it and hopefully it should help me make faster progress! Thank you.

i learnt english using only comprehensible input without realising it when i was younger and recently figured i could do the same with german since "traditional" ways don't work too well for me. This is exactly the type of videos i've been looking for. It's hard to find yt videos, films or cartoons with german subtitles so your videos are perfect since i think it really helps with learning when you can not only hear, but also see the words. You're doing god's work, keep it up and thank you 😄❤
I felt the same way when searching for Videos to learn Japanese with. So I decided to create Videos I would want to watch when learning a new language for my first language German. I'm glad you enjoy them! 😇🩵

@@knmid You just made me realize how much time I wasted. Even tho I've been learning German regularly since I wrote that comment I'm nowhere close to where I thought I'd be by now. I think I've just been going through the same material cause I was too lazy to conquer everything that I still don't know, even though I guess that's the point of learning. Sorry for the rant but with this single comment you opened my eyes to the fact, that I finally have to get my shit together if I want to get anywhere.

Took two semesters of German in college and didn't remember a thing and could barely pass as my short term memory sucks and I can't rote memorize and gave up on my dreams of language learning. But 2020 I discovered comprehensible input and now I'm fluent in Spanish and now returning to German. The "language that got away"

It's so interesting how similar German is to English
I mean it would make sense, they both originated in Europe so their ancestors would probably be the same
english is a germanic language
English is a southern Germanic language, just like German (and Dutch), so yeah, those two are english's closest relatives

Dunno how much support this channel gets, but your voice is pleasant and easy to learn with. I took German classes a long time ago and I feel like I'm learning way more with this method. This is good content, keep it up!
Ich muss Deutsch als Muttersprachler zwar nicht lernen, konnte mich aber sehr gut zu dem Video entspannen haha. Die kleinen Missgeschicke, wie z.B. das Bett mit unterschiedlicher Wolle nicht bauen zu können nur um danach fast vom Creeper gesprengt zu werden, waren auch sehr lustig. So oft dem Tod entkommen und am Ende am Tauchen gescheitert :,D
Wenn du an den Videos Spaß hast bist du natürlich jederzeit willkommen auch wenn du nicht deutsch lernen musst! Es gibt noch ein paar lustige "Minecraft-Noob" Folgen zum Beispiel: "Fighting Spiders for German Vocabulary" Wobei ich mich immer noch ein wenig davor drücke in die Hölle zu gehen 😅

I've never seen this game. I thought that was an innocent game, and here you have to kill animals! 😢 So sad, cruel and revolting (( And children play it... No wonder they can become heartless later if they are used to the fact that it's OK to kill living beings and don't feel pity or remorse doing it, even in a game. I wouldn't be able to play such a game, I could hardly watch it.
What safe games do you like to play?
@@deutsche-qd8td I don't play computer games 😊 I watch them only as a means to improve my language skills and hear live, native speech 🤗 The only exception is when we play games with friends where there are several characters, like Detroit Become Human 😊 They are like films and it's a great way to spend an evening with friends :) I hope I didn't offend you by my previous comment, it wasn't meant to be! I was upset only by the game, and you are doing great work, please continue, it's very useful and interesting ❤️🙏 When I calmed down, I continued watching the next episodes and was glad that the animals were OK and you did other things :) I wonder if this game allows not to kill any animals at all, even at the beginning 🤔 Anyway, good luck! ✌️
You probably could do it by cutting down trees or making a wheat farm immediately but I wouldn’t be able to teach some words I taught in this video without doing it. And I don’t have the skills to do so… Personally I do also like to remember that there is a difference between games and real life. I did grow up in a village with Farms so I grew up seeing where animal produce comes from. It didn’t desensitize me to harming animals but instead made me realize the value of my food and how important it is to choose where you buy supermarket or the farm next door is definitely a big difference. When it comes to game though I do sometimes enjoy acting and also playing a villain from time to time just for fun. I like to “rob” villages in Minecraft but I never have nor do I feel any desire to steal something in real life. Anyway I just came here to say that I do have some villainous moments in my videos but that’s just in a game for me not real life. I just want to give you a heads up 😅

But you are a grown-up person, and with children it's different, they can perceive some things subconsciously through such games, this is what I'm talking about, it's hard for them at young age to decide what's right and wrong. My grandparents also held several animals, and I still feel sick when I remember this feeling when you go to them every morning, feed them, pat them, talk to them and then one day they are killed. I also watched several videos on how supermarket products are produced and how animals suffer before being killed, and also what bad influence it has on our nature (surprisingly). When killing is the only way of survival-this is one thing, but nowadays most often it's just cruelty and non-awareness of the facts and consequences, this is what's sad. As for me, that's why I'm a vegan 😁
