Sorry to hear about your gout, my husband had it for 40 yrs, nothing the doctors told him to eat worked until he found out about the carnivore diet, it was gone in a few days, never came back it has been 4 yrs now , sugar and carbs are the culprit.
Sugar and carbs are the cause of most of our health issues!

I really like the scam section with Peter Bernard . The new scammer machines at banks & gas stations are almost impossible to recognize.
Being a Gout sufferer I can give you some information on treating it. Your physician will give you blood work and check your uric acid level and any reading over 7.0 is a high uric acid level. The physician will give you a medication call Allopurinol which is a daily dosage and a anti inflammatory called indomethacin for flare ups
Hi run...ikr also get a lipid panel test....to high results can cause gout
In regard to using your credit card wisely, I have been told by the fraud dept of my Visa card company not to save your credit card online as a payment method. Pay and leave but do not save. Also they are finding that their is a lot of data breaches with companies we use online such as phone and internet so they suggested not to utilize auto pay. That requires you to save either your bank info or credit card online. Thank you Jerry, Linda and Peter for a great live show.

My neighbor never got the shingles vaccine. His sister was always on him to get it but he didn’t. He got the shingles and it got him very sick, he had brain swelling from the shingles and died 4 days later. Dr. said it was a rare infection.
This happened to my sister. She survived but has memory loss and confusion. I’m sorry about your neighbor. My sister is stubborn and a general pain in the neck. Refuses to get any vaccines. Oh well.
My husband got the shingles vaccine and shortly after the second shot started having tremors in his face. Those were the first symptoms of Parkinsons so be careful what “vaccines “ you put into your body. There is no going back
L Lysine treats shingles very successfully unfortunately your Dr won't tell you this. It's fine not to get vaccines but you need to know how to treat the various viruses.
Hi Jerry: My husband Al, had his first episode of gout years ago. His doctor has him taking Dutasteride 0.5mg every day. He has never gotten it back. Pray you get better.

I’ve suffered from gout for years. The doctors used to give me back to get rid of it and then I got a two off and they gave me medicine to prevent it and I’ve been on that for many many many many years and haven’t had it since. And Linda my ex mother-in-law said that gout is worse than childbirth that’s a woman’s point of view. Lol

This is every where not just in TV. It's world wide. I'm sure it's where you live as well unfortunately. It's a million dollar industry.
We have tried a couple of cruise lines and sizes of ships. I recommend Celebrity Millennium class ships. They are slightly smaller but far less people. Go Aquaclass if you can. Or retreat for high end.

Health care is changing, tests may take longer to get an appointment for. I imagine that health care providers in FL may be less than in north area with bigger health care systems.

The expansion seems to never stop.
Two things. Debit cards are supposed ot have the same protections as credit cards. Second I have my cc sent me alerts via text after every transaction that way I am aware immediatly. Wife says I am checking on her wrong I am watching for miscreants.
As Peter said they test with small transactions so my alerts are set for .01 cents. Stay in the know.
Debit cards do not have the same protections as cc!!!! I always use cc.

The general principles of a gout diet follow typical healthy-diet recommendations:

Organ and glandular meats. Avoid meats such as liver, kidney and sweetbreads, which have high purine levels and contribute to high blood levels of uric acid.
Red meat. Limit serving sizes of beef, lamb and pork.
Seafood. Some types of seafood - such as anchovies, shellfish, sardines and tuna - are higher in purines than are other types. But the overall health benefits of eating fish may outweigh the risks for people with gout. Moderate portions of fish can be part of a gout diet.
High-purine vegetables. Studies have shown that vegetables high in purines, such as asparagus and spinach, don't increase the risk of gout or recurring gout attacks.
Alcohol. Beer and distilled liquors are associated with an increased risk of gout and recurring attacks. Moderate consumption of wine doesn't appear to increase the risk of gout attacks. Avoid alcohol during gout attacks, and limit alcohol, especially beer, between attacks.
Sugary foods and beverages. Limit or avoid sugar-sweetened foods such as sweetened cereals, bakery goods and candies. Limit consumption of naturally sweet fruit juices.
Vitamin C. Vitamin C may help lower uric acid levels. Talk to your doctor about whether a 500-milligram vitamin C supplement fits into your diet and medication plan.
Coffee. Some research suggests that drinking coffee in moderation, especially regular caffeinated coffee, may be associated with a reduced risk of gout. Drinking coffee may not be appropriate if you have other medical conditions. Talk to your doctor about how much coffee is right for you.
Cherries. There is some evidence that eating cherries is associated with a reduced risk of gout attacks.

You can set up your credit card or debit card to send you a text notification every single time it’s used and you can set a dollar limit to that at zero or $100. You don’t need to go online.
That is how we figured this one out.
For credit card protection I've thought about getting a separate card with a real low ($500) limit and using it for most store purchases, restaurants and gas. Pay it off every few days when you go online to check what it has been used for as Peter suggests. Would this be worth doing?

I ignore any correspondence that I don’t immediately recognize. I don’t investigate anything.
Regarding Skimmers, one suggestion is to have multiple credit cards where one is only used to pay subscription or monthly billings like cable, phone, gym, etc. and then a different card for out and about charges. Skimming and fraud will happen, so having different cards dedicated help when replacement is needed. Also never been a fan of using debit cards as gives direct access to cash. Much easier to challenge charges when it on a bill due in vs cash that is long gone.

FYI - for most people the shingles shot isn’t any worse than a flu shot. I don’t know what happened to your sister, but what you’re talking about is extremely rare. I can say this was confidence as I’m a healthcare provider and sister is also. I had no problem with my shingles vaccine, either dose. My husband didn’t. I haven’t known anyone really who did. I think the stories are much worse than the reality. 👍🏼 Definitely get that shot!

SCAMS!! The last 15 months I have had one continual scam after another…started with a large amount being removed from savings, placed in checking and then deposited in an on line investment site….all done without my knowledge. I have accidentally been the recipient of a pair of shoes and charged to my card….when I told the company I did not order them….they wondered about the $250 boots! Total $336 on my card. This has been a continual nightmare……I have a file almost 3/4 inch of problems….

Re: Gout. easy to treat: Allopurinol prescription (Rheumatologist) & cut out high-Uric acid producer foods (organ meats & corn syrup). Sharp pain caused by needle-like crystals of uric acid known as monosodium urate crystals. Dorie & I plan on making that Feb cruise.
