from a design standpoint, unova's forest is awesome.
Yeah it really is one of the more intricate layouts. Also the road in the middle is a neat addition.

I like how they started from spooky and disturbing but slowly transitioned into happy or calm tracks over time.
The original soundtrack supose to be creepy I mean you are lost in the midle of the forest........... this game Is called pocket monsters for some reason, but unfortunatly they lost this essence long time ago.
Every single time I hear the remake of Johto forests, it makes me think about all of the deep mysteries around the region... Slowpoke area, Lugia's den, those interconnected caves, beautiful.
Sinnoh's theme is always my best pokemon theme
Viridian Forest just has a mystical vibe about it. Combined with it being the forest we entered when we were young, it becomes a tune that takes you back to that first experience when every step you made, every new area was scary and exciting, while still being great as a tune! 8/8
Well, dunno why you call yourself a 'trash Talker'... Makes sense to me. Still remember when we larped in the woods like PKMN. Later, when we have grown older eventually, we would hunt rabbits innawoods. I miss all of these old times nowadays...
I absolutely love Ilex Forest’s theme from Gold, Silver, and Crystal. It’s so creepy, and it fits for all the regions it’s used for. It has a mysterious vibe to it and it seems to pop into my head when I’m lost in thought.
My favourite is the Pinwheel Forest theme. So dreamy. Also Eterna and Santalune are marvellous.
Gen 4 and 5 tunes are always so lovely, dunno something about how they were able to handle limited soundfonts and MIDI in such a way made it nice on the ears with an actual tune.
Eterna Forest remains the best for me with Lush Jungle following behind.
(The beginning of Gen 6 sounded a lot like a Mario level to me):D

@@ericdublinski3206 it's an old playthrough, I have a gaming phone w/ a built-in fan. Look up 'redmagic'. That said, I did start a new playthrough of Crystal just for fun today. Crystal has my favorite soundtrack along w/ B/R/Y versions of Kanto. Replayed LG recently too.

you should do all the biggest cities theme, I mean Saffron, Goldenrod, Slateport/Lilycove, Jubilife, Castelia, Lumiose and Hau'oli :o e_e'

Kanto- kinda creepy, like youre lost and someone is going to find you but not the sort of someone you hoped for
Johto- A bit more peaceful but still unsettling
Hoenn-Not unsettling or creepy it just sounds like a deep forest, you do know a way in and out but youre there for a while
Sinnoh- Peaceful like walking through a forest with small flurries of snow and a good friend by your side
Unova- It feels like more of an urbanised forest, with a more lively feel to it.
Kalos- Its more like a genuine forest with forest sounds like birds and other things. And its the first time youre there so you feel nervous but calmed at the same time by the surroundings.
Alola- Its a wild and unexplored place so you dont know what could jump up on you (totem lurantis) but youre eager to find out whether youre prepared or not
The one playing for unova isn’t even a forest theme, it’s dreamyard

The gold silver crystal/hgss remix of viridian forest is criminally underrated
Eterna Forest takes me back to when I first took my steps as a Pokémon Trainer as a seven year old. I played Diamond when I was little so listening to this makes me wanna play Platinum again because the Surfing Animation was faster than in Diamond and Pearl. Plus I can fall asleep while listening to the Eterna Forest theme. It is so soothing. It calms my soul. Screw it. I’m gonna play Platinum again.
The Sinnoh Forest theme will always be number one best theme ever :D

I really love the difference between gen 1 viridian forest and gen 2 viridian forest, in gen 1 it’s foreboding, it fits cause Red is just starting his journey and he’s encountering new mysterious places, meanwhile in gen 2 Gold has already beaten Lance, this is just an area with low level pokemon to him, so gen 2’s theme is more relaxed and chill. My favorite of them all will always be Eterna forest, I love how ambiant it is, and given that gen 4 was my first gen, I have a lot of nostalgia with it. But gen 2 viridian forest has a special place in my heart.
Let's be honest, we're all here for Eterna Forest.

00:01, 1:49, 3:48, 5:49 前幾天我跟 Idle、twice、和I'VE 一起在森林裡玩捉迷藏的時候志效出剪刀，全員出布來當鬼，其他人就趕緊跑去躲起來
08:02, 10:06 結果除了我、子瑜跟舒華在草叢裡被志效用追蹤器找到之外，其他成員還都躲得好好的，直到在樹上等志效來抓自己的雨琦和Mina同時被一隻蜜蜂從耳邊飛過嚇到發出慘叫，等志效聽到聲音跑過來的時候發現樹上有一個蜜蜂窩才知道事情的嚴重性
11:58, 13:49 這當志效因成功找到其他成員而開心的跳舞時烏雲密佈並開始下大雨，志效和其他成員見狀趕緊去黑山洞躲躲雨，誰知道黑山洞裡竟然還有火焰在燒，地上還有三個裡面裝滿食物的木頭箱子，表示還有人在裡面露營過，員瑛跟舒華原本很害怕但在我的細心安撫穩定了下來 ，晚上小娟第一次在營火區給我們講鬼故事，我發現志效鬼故事是普通的恐怖，聽了一下成員們就膩到躺在地上睡著了，但小娟的鬼故事可是超級恐怖的，一聽就會讓人感覺到了害怕，說時遲那時快一隻鬼從員瑛跟舒華的背後出現，嚇得員瑛跟舒華拔腿就跑，這時雨琦勇氣十足的掀開了白色的布塊，這才發現原來是我在惡作劇，結果跑回來的員瑛跟舒華看到我以為自己被我耍了很生氣，二話不說對我拳打腳踢，我邊縮在角落任她們兩個踢打，邊哭著懺悔
15:36 為了吸取這次的教訓，就鼓起勇氣跟成員們一起在黑山洞裡露營，晚上吃飽喝足後，輪到我開始講鬼故事，這次是我講的是有關台灣黑熊意外傷人的鬼故事，誰知道我的鬼故事講的是相當逼真，連一旁的子瑜也是嚇到吃起了自己的手手，多賢跟彩瑛勸我不要再講了，連膽小如鼠的娜璉跟定延也是拼命求饒，但講到結尾的時候多賢跟彩瑛已經嚇得瑟瑟發抖、說不出話來了，甚至是眼睛睜得超級大，似乎是被我的鬼故事給嚇懵了！！
17:21 睡覺的時候子瑜、員瑛跟舒華夢到自己是一隻小貓咪的緣故學貓咪溫柔的開始唱歌，她們三隻小貓咪的叫聲非常好聽，好聽到我心跳加速、滿臉漲紅，不知道該如何是好，這當我無法自拔時米妮一張嘴咬住了我的手，我本想大叫的，可是怕正在睡覺的成員們被我的尖叫聲吵醒只能忍痛撐了一整個晚上！醒來子瑜跟舒華第一次看到我熊貓眼的模樣就忍不住笑了，我聽到笑聲就心裡納悶呀！
19:20 大雨過後，I'VE的隊長俞真、Twice的隊長志效跟Idle的隊長小娟因為看到美麗大彩虹的緣故就帶著自己的成員提前回家了！只留下三隻小貓（子瑜、舒華跟員瑛）陪伴著我，當我看到這三個團體因為受到彩虹召喚而徒步回家的時候我的心臟有可能會停，但有三隻小貓咪的陪伴下就變得堅強許多並決定再住一個晚上，等天氣好的時候就能提前返家了！也許我的心情會不會突然停下來
20:51晚上又再一次烤火的時候員瑛跟舒華又開始唱小花貓了！但這次子瑜加入了其中，我聽著聽著就突然睡著了！這時子瑜趁機用泰山壓頂把我壓在下面，當我被嚇醒時已經晚了一步，我被子瑜壓的無法動彈，這當我針扎時舒華竟然在我的耳邊學起了貓咪叫，我聽了也是瞪大了眼睛表示中招，下一秒員瑛用相機對我拍了一張照片，我驚訝的代表這就是小貓咪的報復吧，也就是說就是我想要忘掉自己想養貓咪的唯一方法吧！

Honestly, both 1 and 2 are interchangeable, they are both hands down the best forest themes.
After Gen 3 all the forest music changed into happy music , not creepy / sad music
Just realized that Galar is the first region in the main games to not have the letter O in its name
in french unova is unys so for us it isn’t the first
For NA and west audiences, yes it is the first. But Unova in Japanese, it’s Isshu, with no “o” either, so not the first in regards to that. Still a neat discovery for Galar though.

As a kid I was always scared af while I was in the viridian forest plus that theme doesn't make it less scarier.

Unova is the best, they even used it for two places, but it fits dreamyard better though
Theory on why people don't really like GSC theme:
It switches between notes and sharps and flats in a way that makes it happy and spooky at the same time which gives it a confusing sound and it can be hard to remember a specific part
Also, GSC viridian is tiny and nostalgia isn't a big factor like gen 4 or 5

I believe Gen 5 had two forest themes. There was a separate theme for Lostlorn Forest (same as Abundant Shrine). I know that Pinwheel Forest was the "main forest" but the Lostlorn theme felt more forest-y to me.
