SO FAR I GOT SLAUGHTERHOUSE, WAYNE, & BUSTA, Who else has made EM work on a feature? I'm here for it
Tech N9ne
Slim shady
Marshall Mathers
GRIP
What about BANKS
trick trick on welcome to detroid went hard
I've never seen anyone not like this song, it's a shame you didnt enjoy it
@Ali Chaudhry isn’t that what most these CZcams ppl do? They cater to their fanbase, often in a super lame way. Why u mad? Lmao
I'm also surprised in his reaction too. I've never heard anyone disliked this song.
He said he didn't like it cause it had no BARS. Em and the game together should have hella BARS
People like this song because of the substance in the song, this came out at a time where Eminem was getting a lot of hate for being racist and during the whole Benzino and Ja Rule beef. This song is pretty much the Game paying homage to Eminem and Eminem paying homage to the Game, not every rap song has to be bar heavy. Plus you should know by now that old Eminem wasn't about bars, was more about substance and cadence
Exactly.
I forgot about Eminem getting being called "racist" WOW I forgot about that part. I just knew at the time what was said about Game. Ain't it crazy how some can hate so much they'd label Em a "racist" .. It's almost comical. They hate so much where they find a song he recorded in high school after a bad breakup to label him of all people a racist
Still today. After MTBMB where he speaks against racism, supporting the black people killed by police, the kneeling in NFL. People bring up that song. It's crazy how deeply people hate and want to bring down another
this is not trash, the track was simple but sounded good + in those days EM did not do what he has been doing lately when it comes to bars and doubles / triples while The Game also could have done better but still I liked this track with 2 of my favs on the track 💪 I just wish to hear them together again 👀
he did but ppl didnt realise he was doing it
Yeah, why is stevie comparing current Em to Mid 2000s Em. There's more than a DECADE between those's Em's. Edit words
@@crimsondragon627 actually it is the 05 EM who was on drugs then 🤣 but either way it is the same guy, so reasoning behind the comparison is obvious but his career is so long, 16 years later (now) EM is a different beast 👌
This songs audio sounds like garbage
@@LetsBringThePain But it isnt the same Em, he raps nothing like early 2000s Em.
Stevie expects eminem to always do triple or double entendres lol Eminem had a lot of substance no entendres and Stevie thinks it’s bad lol this guy needs help haha
Fr man fax
I can’t with Em fanboys man 💀💀💀 his disappointment only displays how much respect he has for Em but you guys are too busy deepthroating your father to admit this was a weak collab. Compare this to Em on Patiently Waiting with 50 and you’ll see what he means
This is classic example of Eminem being held to his own standards. Love the beat and cadence to this. Other rappers dont say shit in their songs and you say they "getting their shit off" (like Tory Lanez in the video a couple days ago) but they just talk about money and chicks and not to mention he bites his bars AND cadence of other rappers.
Fax Stevie is very hypocritical
👍 didn’t see this before I commented. I basically said the same thing
Stevie looking for bars where they don't belong.
Sometimes Em's focus is on structure, cadence, or story, and less on wordplay and bars.
Yes, I feel like everytime a song doesn’t have multiple bars Stevie kinda brushes it off and says it wasn’t that hard. This just happened on his reaction to Walktrough. Rap is not only bars
couldnt agree more.!
Yeah that's what I was noticing I actually liked the track because it wasn't so bar heavy
Stevie got spoiled getting into Eminem later in his career when he mastered his craft.
I mean it’s a different aspect of the craft tho. Em back then was more focused on story telling and conveying a message. He’s better technically now sure but that’s all he’s better at, and there’s more to lyricism than just the technical aspect. Em back then was better at painting a picture and conveying a message/emotion while also still having insane rhyme schemes and effortless sounding flow/delivery to go along with it. That’s more impressive to me. I mean look at Sing for the moments 3rd verse. That probably is his best verse ever, but is he doing all the super heavy technical shit he does now? No, and don’t get me wrong what he does now is impressive from a technical standpoint, but the other aspects of lyricism I was saying before, and song writing wise old em was far better at IMO.
@@Sokkq of course song writing was better back then, he actually had something to say lol. He’s been rapping 20 plus years what else can he say that he hasn’t already said in his music? He’s given his all and mastered his craft. At this point he’s just rapping for the love of rap.
@@Sokkq you just made me revisit that entire song, especially for the third verse and man, you’re right. He’s not bar heavy but what he is saying IS. and the flow and delivery is perfect. That song is a masterpiece
That moment when one of your favorite reactors realizes the difference from early 2000 Em to the updated Em. Its almost comedic
This is early em tho…
This song is so good, this shit stays on my gym playlist.
yup gym hype top playlist.
The cadence Game used at the end was homage to “The Way I Am” Eminem cadence.
Game does that a lot, I don't think it's bad or anything but he'll often use popular flows from the person he's collabing with.
@@tjclarke6074 Yeah that’s not bad at all, because it’s obvious he’s paying homage to the artist.
He was flowing like him on his first verse too
Wow didn't even book that and I've played the song many times.
And he repeat this Em's flow on track w. Tyrese called "Haterz". You can check it
This was a masterpiece by Eminem. The "A" sound rhymes went throughout his entire verse... Rode the hell out this beat, cadence was ridiculous and talked his shit while doing it.
Stevie’s reaction: *my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined*
Stevie, this song is 16 years old, what do you expect? Plus, Em was popping pills at this point. Aaand Game did Em's flow from The Way I Am in that second verse, he was paying homage.
Bro... Em was in his prime then, Patiently Waiting is a prime example
@@kingokolo I understand where you're coming from, but not quite. Patiently Waiting is from 2003 when his addiction wasn't that bad YET. And what Stevie is talking about here are the missing doubles/triples, crazy wordplay and technicality that Em has now. Em always had punchlines, good wordplay and rhyme schemes but you cannot compare Em's technicality today to his 2005 pill-popping self when back then he wasn't half as technical as he is now. That's what I meant... Em only got better through the years, not the other way around.
We need a better Marshall Monday than that 🤣 good shit though man.
Not everything is going to be "bar heavy." You can put forth a narrative or have something to say, and doing so while riding a beat and using different, complex rhyme schemes - without ever clouding the message - is still admirable. Not everything has to be a punchline or a double entendre.
exactly my point.
Agreed. Stevie seems to forget that not everything HAS to be bar heavy & that rap was different back then
My man gets it.
Tushay totally agree.
Problem with reacting to Em starting at his most recent shit and working back is that Em is at his very best right now with bars. He wasn’t an ultra heavy bar rapper when he started.
Guess it depends really. Em has a lot of punchlines, double/triple entendres nowadays that are just there for the sake of it. Like they lack real substance and be out of context, but when they are actually meaningful they’re fucking great. I mean his recent feature on walkthrough is a great example.
This song is fire you can't have bars and doubles all the time bro
This is like comparing car from the 60s to a modern more efficient car. It's not a fair comparison. Can't hate buddy. I'm glad your doing your thing still Stevie. Different era
🎯
In which way exactly? Dre helped Eminem's career launch under Aftermath with "the Slim Shady EP". About a year and change later 50 cent launched "Get rich or die tryin'" under Shady/Aftermath. Took 50 less than what seems like 50 seconds to sign The Game under G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath. The time between Eminem's 1st major label release and and The Game's debut on 50's album, followed by his debut "the Documentary". Not a different decade, let alone era.
@@klepto-onekingkopa9781 I think you are severely mistaken. Same decade. SSLP from the 98 dog gtfo
Different era? It was 2005, many of em’s greatest ever tracks came before and after 2005 so era has nothing to do with it, more likely Em went easy on him as he did with most of his signed artists and still does now.
@@Ryan-hv2lw Nah Em was wack on pretty much everything after TES. He started dropping real heat again only during Relapse era.
He was talking about Clay Aiken faking he was straight
Stevie looking like a legit hater in this video! This track was flawless, especially for when it was released! Perfect back and forth from Em and Game.
'Please highlight what people appreciate most about this song?' It's a badass song purely for the sake of being a badass song! Both artist in their early years just ripping the beat and cadence apart JUST FOR FUN! They just stunting for the sake of it. It's just as simple as that. If you don't get it, then you probably never will. I guess it's one of those songs that just takes us back to the era of when it was released... when Em was 'new', the whole Game and G Unit stuff... when Snoop Dogg was cool etc etc
Yup. It was two popular artists on the same track that is super easy to vibe to. Those kind of songs have massive appeal that go far beyond hip hop. That's a good thing. It can't always be about trying to wash someone out or rap beef. Some songs are just meant to be a vibe and this song did that perfectly.
he already witness MTBMB, this song can't compare to anything on that album lol
Dude if he feel it ain't up to par. That's his opinion. Just cause you love it don't mean everyone will love it
He lookin like a hater cause he don't like the song? This is the problem
First video i ever disliked from Stevie xD He talks about how wack game and eminem did but The only thing thats wack with this is the fact that Stevie is comparing future Game and Future Eminem with past Game and past Eminem :P This track is fire, Eminem is paying homage to the rap game and Game is paying homage to Eminem. Its a lit track, the only reason to why its not trough the roof is because this was in the very BEGINNING of Game and Eminems Friendship. I still love your content Stevie but this reaction...?
He is mad ppl hated on Drake lol
I agree lol
I disagree, I mean Em on something like Renegade absolutely slaughters his verse on here. And we've heard better from Game in the past also.
Trash... Eminem had no bars
@@davidjasonmilligan9980 it was substance that’s why lol
This song is from The Game's first album not new. This is just a chill song that talk about why they in the game of hip-hop. This would hit differently if you're a rebel or high asf.
Sup Stevie! I think this song wasn't meant to be bar-heavy. Sometimes it's putting rhymes together, talking some shit and play with the cadences and make the verse sound dope af. The precise placing of every syllable is an art alone.
yup. he's losing fact of that. no every song should have doubles and triples
I laughed so hard when I read the title of this video because the game can't hold a candle to EM bar for bar or lyrically period and we all know it!
It must drive Em crazy he can’t just make a track… without criticism, does Wayne never have a fun song? This the perfect example of what Em has to go threw
Wayne has certainly taken hate too especially Drake. Sometimes the criticism at times holds weight, a lot of times it's just hate. Just the nature of humans and the business.
THANK YOU!
Why is stevie being a proper hater on this song. I could tell from the beginning that he wasn't feeling it before the song even started. I think the game & eminems verse were perfect for the best, especially back in the day
It’s a decent song he isn’t hating it’s just not the best
@@tj54441 he literally says it's trash
@@Where_has_the_sanity_gone cos he fucks with Eminem and knows how much better he can do
@@kingokolo it fit the song perfectly. Old school battle mode eminem. His new chopped up flow wouldn't have fit the beat nor the point, it was just a "talk yo' shit" track, it went together perfectly. Alot of his stuff back then was this type of flow
His flow in this verse is fire, pure Eminem flow, Reminds me of Say Goodbye to Hollywood or Yellow Brick Road
if this song had been done by anybody else, people would call it a banger. just saying. expectations are a bitch.
Every song isn’t meant to be Lyrical bro smh 🤦🏾♂️
Exactly. Any song that isn’t is a apparently trash to him lol
I like the song because of the beat choice and the cadence. It wasn't very lyrical but the cadence was pleasing to the ear
Anyone else get Em's The Way I Am vibes from Game's last verse?
It seems Stevie has gone of Em lately. Marshall Monday reactions aren’t the same. Not the same energy or vibe over the last few weeks!?
bro your brain expect Em to spit bars on every verse but sometimes u have to catch vibes
Stevie i think you say so cus of the mentality you got now…trust me bro…back then, this was 🔥… Now the rap game has evolved to bars and double entendres…
“Only DRE CAN” he kept that same rhyme scheme the whole time.
Lupe and Em are both my Number 1 all time Favorite rappers... thats teaser is serious
em's rhyme structure was crazy
Been with you from the start dawg. We know what we're doing here, bringing attention to bars but where's love towards Grip's new album? Its 🔥🔥🔥 you're gonna go nuts Stevie I promise react to it
I Heavily second this Stevie. Grip's album goes crazy!!
I checked his song views on YT and all are 20k smthng except walkthrough. I guess that's the curse of Shady records people been talking bout. Still m sure if Stieve reacts it'll be a great boost on YT for grip
Havin a rough day rn Stevie. Thanks for uploading :)
This was from 2005 if you listen to his features from that era, most his features almost sound the same Cos he was on those pills and shit
Listen go welcome to D block, it’s like the same face value type verse.
Welcome 2 Detroit city too.
" What would you do if you had a hip hop battle against eminem?"
" Run"
The game
That's why I don't have high expectation when talking top tier lyricists and features because they rarely do what the fans expect. What matters to them is what they decide how to do the song, not what we hope they do on the song. I judge each rapper in the present and each song as it it. I don't compare rappers to themselves back when or a song/album to previous ones. That's so wack. Take what you get and judge it as is.
I just like the way this song sounds in the car.
Terrible Marshal Monday!!! come on stevie waited a week for this
This album was fire from start to finish.
Why do patreon get all the fire reactions 😅
We want more EM on youtube Stevie
Feel you're being a little to harsh towards Game. This dropped when he first came onto the scene.
Every song can’t be a mind bender
Game's flow on the second verse is identical to Eminem's at the end of the sauce. Which one of these songs was first recorded?
Could also be a shout out to The way I am. In fact, I'm sure it is.
I was thinking the same thing, it really reminds me of the sauce
See, it reminded me of the way I am... Now I don't know 😂
Way I am cadence without the passion that Em hit the rhyme syllables.
The way I am
@False Theory nah, not with game. Game underrated af writing & spittin wise. He kinda got stuck under 50's shadow & the time period more peeps were getting away from gun & gangsta bars on wax,.. cool in battle rap though.. even though game wasn't spittin ish he didn't live & see.
But, definitely was paying homage imo. Game, who is real as they come, on & off the mic, has always had great things 2 say bout Em even thru his beefs wit dre & 50.
It was homage & game already said he don't want that smoke. Seems like a quick verse em thru together & i think it was at a high point of his drug use.. pun intended. Lol
He was giving em flowers. 💐
Strange how people can have such different takes on verses. Scru think this is one of Ems best verses all time.
This song is sonically good. That's why we love it.
*I hope you understand that this is meant to be a little laid-back cool track.* Not everything has to be super sophisticated.
Please do "We all die one day" with obie, 50 and banks.
also "Warrior part 2" with banks nate dogg and 50
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! My 2 favorite rappers on one track. Been the jam for years
its era
back then it wasnt bout bars all the time
its bout feelings and truth
Em really did raise the bar high to rap these days even to himself
Hey Stevie. Your boy here from the other side of the world in New Zealand. I'm so glad that a intelligent dude like you doesn't see color. You're such a visionary. Mad respect my man. Keep up the good work brother x
Game is so slept on, he’s a legend🔥
i like it maybe you just had unattainable expectations ! both are great rappers i appreciate more today than ever !
U tripping Stevie bruh 🤣☠️ enjoy the music & rock with the vibe.
Why are you on every comment talking about the pills. WE GET IT
I ride with you on almost all reactions. But I think you're missing with this one. Falling into that expectations trap has you skipping the substance. Just my option. Congrats on the addition to the familia!
No1 pointed out the point that they on the same team so neither one of them were trying to overstep each other...just wanted to put something out to vibe with
Game is great but I think em is the goat with overall talent!
@Teflon Tom Lost? This has always been one of my favorite and slept on Eminem verses!
@Teflon Tom I grew up a Stan and grew out of it in like 2010 so I'm aware of that time when he was on drugs and OD'ing but I still don't think he lost on this at all! Not every verse has to have complex material in it I just really like the cadence here and there were a few quotables that I enjoyed. Both Game verses were just alright for me.
@Teflon Tom Lol! That's kinda laughable tbh. I'm 30 years old and I've been listening to Hip Hop for as long as I can remember. What "Bars" did Game really have on this? Just because "Sober" Eminem would annihilate him that means drugged up Eminem loses by default? I'm sorry but it sounds like you're entire thing is an opinion in itself. Ain't nothing objective about it.
@Teflon Tom Still haven't mentioned a single bar, son.
@Teflon Tom Rap isn't just "bars" dude. This verse is just great rhyming. I'm not sure why this entire comment section is filled with you and your "credentials" these mean nothing here. There's also not a single real tough guy on the internet who types like that. Telling people to meet up. You're not gonna meet up with anybody, you would get stomped out, stop talkin' nonsense kiddo. Look at your lame name and your marvel picture.
Eminem and the games best every songs are not bar heavy. Sometimes it’s just appreciating the beat and the rapping.
*Who wants to see Slaugtherhouse - Session one ?*
Damn bro! This was one of my favorite song in the car coz the beat was Dope!
Stevie Please release the music box reaction to CZcams. It's one of my favorite Em tracks ever
Look at the timeline. Eminem was pilled up during this. The game saying he killed him on his own shit he was giving a nod to Nas. Cmon stevie
I think it's the beat Throwing everything off
When doing older Em' verses(and not only),you gotta consider the year it came out too. This came out in 2005,the verse was probably done in the Encore timeline when Em was heavy on drugs😐The song doesn't hit that hard now, true, but also can't really compare 2005 Em with 2013+ Em.
It's nearly 20 years ago! Ur expectations is on Em now. Game said he was paying homage to Em by using his flow
One thing I noticed, back then EM dumbed down his lyrical flows I can understand why he did that in some situations and features, him just trying to fit in with g-unit, d12 etc... he had to dumb it down if you think about it he gave af. He cared abt what his ppl thought back then. But now he blowing all features out of the water he doesn't care about making the artist he on with feel some type of way, he gonna say whats in mind no matter how hard and ridiculous.
Let's get it! Patreon gang!
I WAS LITERALLY JUST LISTENING TO THIS SONG BEING LIKE I WONDER WHEN STEVIE IS GONNA REACT TO THIS BANGER AND I COME HERE TO SEE THIS. I'm psychic in this bih. Who wants their palm read
Have you ever did Em and Redman's song or Eminem and Busta Rhymes song... I think those are close matches that I would love to see reviewed.
What’s up, Stevie! Love your content on both channels bro, straight🔥 …idk if you take suggestions from Patreon only, but I’d like to suggest a couple tracks from Joell Ortiz. I know you’re familiar with Slaughterhouse, but these were from before he joined.
Battle Cry and then also a track called 125 part 2…the beat on 125 sounds a bit dated cuz it was from way back in like ‘08, but the bars in both tracks are crazy.
This song was never a lyrical battle this was a team up song, not sure who tried saying it was a lyrical battle ???
The dopest part about games cadence in the 2nd verse is that he literally does ems" way I am" cadence. Re listen, you will hear it
This song popped up on my play list today and was thinking that stevie should do a reaction, it just sounds so good, classic rap story telling
That Beat is amazing though :)
I feel like Em doesn't try to upstage rappers in his own camp for the most part. He wants them to get noticed and not forgotten about.
FIRST EVEN AT WORKKK
The whole idea people want them to go against each other when they are on the same track together! It's just them fucking around on the mic!
I can agree, it's not trash, but also it's not groundbreaking. It was like 50-60% of what these 2 are lyrically capable of delivering. But I do like it still.
Sometimes you just gotta enjoy the song for what it is…especially with 2 legends on the track…it sounded good to me
Game was doing Em's "the way I am" cadence on his second verse lol
Wee need this againe..!!!
This song is too cold! Theres a remix on SoundCloud with 2pacs verse in it, its absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
Finally someone react to this track
You should come back and redo this one seeing Game is coming at Em now.
Because they are on a track together no comparison, you got to have a battle to know.
Lmao 0:20 stevie, your laugh is contagious
It’s a shame that great rappers are always critiqued heavily. No one ever just enjoys that shit
My all-time favorite Eminem feature
I couldn’t catch what Em was doing but Game was rapping like that on purpose. If you listen, you can hear that his first verse was a Dr. Dre flow and his second verse was an old school Em flow. So I can only assume that Em had something in mind in his verse. It was creative in that aspect but I agree with Stevie on the song as a whole because of expectations.
I agree with others, I think you were slightly harsh on this one Stevie. This song is hard af. For one it being from Game's debut album and for two I feel like Em kept it tone down a bit because it was his artist's (50) new artist so he's not necessarily trying to blow him up on his own track. They were just having fun making a hard song.
Its not a lyrical masterpiece but come on this shit bump so hard and has a serious message that hit alot of ppl at that time. Dam I remember when this album came out. Classic. I still have this song bumping on my Playlist.
React to Obie trice feat Eminem and Dr Dre - Bodyguard!!
I agree they both could of done so much more but this song is still dope. Em’s flow was smooth. I do wish they had a track together where they both went wild. But this still is a good song
Love this song and the entire documentary
