It's been a wild journey; we saw all of our heroes face off against Dharkon, DK murdered a crocodile king, HIYAA saved the galaxy, we peered into the depths of the BIRD DIMENSION, ran the Pokemon Battle Royale simulation again, watched a man freshly awoken from a coma slay an eldritch abomination in his underwear, discovered that WAHOO survived the battle in World of Light but is possessed by a speed demon, then watched him and HIYAA duke it out in an intense battle in celebration of getting 1 Million Subscribers, witnessed the birth of Kirbo and his first adventure, learned that 72% of people sit while wiping their butt, and 27% stand (as of 12/20/19), watched baby Pokemon battle to the death, and confronted COPPA.

I just realized, when Speed Demon was battling Fox, this is when his space time anomalies started....this is why they ask where else has he been.

No, it was actually super Mario World at the very beginning with the conversation Yahoo had with Luigi. It's almost explicit that his first encounter with space tome anomalies was coming back after defeating Darkon(? I never played whatever they were referencing). That was when he truly started talking about parallel universes. The battle was just him testing what he could really do. He got possessed in Luigi's mansion and used it to speedrun like in super Mario 64. He then tapped into his powers and saw a glimpse of what he could really do as he came back using parallel universes. The battle was like bench pressing for the first time, slowly going up and up until you hit your limit.

I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I think season 2 of “Something About” really suffered from the creative differences from behind the scenes. I think this can really be seen in the character differences in seasons 1 and 2. In season 1 BIRD UP Bird is essentially established as a wandering soul who pops up randomly for mild inconveniences’s sake. However in season 2, BIRD UP Bird is suddenly a ruthless, violent dictator who is determined to spread an empire of BIRD UP with his new crystal. This could’ve worked if the thirst for power was actually foreshadowed, but it feels like it comes out of absolutely nowhere. Unfortunately, this isn’t even the only character that falls victim to this. I can only hope that these issues can be fixed during season 3. In conclusion,
10/10. It has a little something for everyone.

Lore alert:
Notice how 1:47 mario calls himself "Yahoo" instead of "Mario"
That means this is after he manifests the Speed Demon in the 64 video. (He doesn't get possessed by the Speed Demon until the 64 video, but the reason he did was because of his raw skills in the Mario World video) He also leaves Peach behind, showing that he is the Speed Demon, since Mario would not have left her. Mario is also able to stay in the ship the entire time while fighting Galeem, showing he has unearthly control over his gravitational pull. Finally, he turns into a hand, which would only be plausible if the Speed Demon was controlling him, as he was pretending to be Mario, meaning he can shape-shift. And that's all just in the Smash Bros. video!!
In the Yahoo (I'm now calling the Demon version of mario Yahoo) VS Fox, Fox asks how he has an "otherworldly power" and that he never stood a chance "against this demon". At about 36:55 is where he manifests the Demon. You even see it come out after Fox destroys the Scuttlebug. Then Mario (he's actually mario now, the demon abandoned him) apologizes to his brother (who he killed in the 64 video I think), and says his "lust for speedrunning has gone too far." And, notice at the end, how the announcer called him Mario, because the Speed Demon left him when he went Out of Bounds, whereas at the beginning he called him "the Yahoo man himself, Speedrunner Mario". He is Speedrunner Mario, not Mario.
The big question is; what does King Boo have to do with it all? Because if you don't remember, Boo dropped Mario's painting into the Demon Pit in the first place. That I can't give an answer to.

Update: Since the All-Stars episode came out, I've learned that the Speed Demon has NOT in fact left Mario permanently. He abandoned him, but apparently came back. His brother is also now alive, and is traveling through space, time, and past Mario games in hopes that he can convince his brother to stop speedrunning and repel the Speed Demon. As we see in the All-Stars episode, the Demon makes Mario go into a different dimension and escape his brother. It clearly causes him pain, but he is forced to do it because he is under the Demon's control. I will release another comment when Something About Season 3 comes out if you want to stay updated.
