I’d be interested in hearing Jason and Myke discuss what they think Apple needs to do outside of games and controllers, to help position the AVP as the future of computing.
It feels very similar (I imagine) to 1984.
Even if apple paid devs now for a game it wouldnt be out until a year or two later at the soonest. Allow AVP to run MacOS apps, partner with steam, and allow games. If steam wont, then partner with GOG and allow flat games.
VR not having a lot of content isnt a new issue. Apple saw this and went even further by purposefully trying to limit what is out there to not come to the ecosystem. There are a lot of easy wins out there that apple will not take out of hubris.
If AVP fails can Tim Cook survive as CEO? In a world apple car also crashed and burned.
I feel like Tim Cook lied to me when he said the AVP was the future of computing. It might... but certainly not yet. There is no killer app. And who wants to wear this heavy thing on your face?!
I have every Apple product and I’m still disappointed at the end of the day. I want my technology to do everything I want everything phone. I can’t even use my phone and direct sunlight because it just stops working. There’s no multitasking at 2024. It’s criminally boring and I have every single apple device.
Apple is the Scientology of technology they’re charging laptop prices for iPads with a broken OS that’s insane and I’m planning on leaving this ecosystem because I feel like it’s a money grab at this point more than a enhancement of life technology product. I see android doing better for the long run because of the use and the lack of eyeballs controlling it. the EU is telling Apple what to do on everything and it’s making me very nervous
