Can you explain how the words supination and flexion are used interchangeably when thinking of the behavior of the scaphoid? When thinking about wrist ROM flexion and supination are distinctly different - why are they interchangeable in this context? Great video and demonstration, thanks!

Thank you for the video. I have a wrist injury from lacrosse (10 yrs ago) but have recently seen a physical therapist who believes I have VISI. They recommend dart throwers with light therabands. Are there other exercises I can do to help strengthen my wrist further? Or will other movements cause further damage?

There are a variety of exercises that are safe for VISI. Dart throwers is one of them but I'm hesitant to use it with resistant. I'd make sure your therapist is a certified hand therapist and does more than dabble in hand therapy issues. If they are a CHT, you can be more confident in their judgement. Also, MRI's should be used to diagnose if VISI is suspected.
