    Getting rid of tenents!
    Says a lot about humanity. Not all tenants are bad tenants or bad people. If it weren't for tenents there'd be no landlords.
    Many will probably lose their shirts and properties with the imminent financial collapse.

    • @vickitoriana3454
      @vickitoriana3454 Před 2 lety +8

      Exactly this. The attitude of landlords is repulsive. Even without arrears my landlord evicting me after 10+ years and being an absolute jerk about it. All I've had online is abuse from landlords when expressing anger that my landlords behaviour. They all have the victim mentality and a sense of their own importance.

      @@vickitoriana3454 spot on. I tell you what though... The coming financial collapse won't be kind to many of them. Treat others how you would like them to treat you. 👍

    What about councils telling tenants to wait till baliffs rather than finding them emergency housing when the possession order is imminent?

    Trust me , in the future, it’s going to get harder and harder to evict a tenant because of rogue landlords.

    I still can't get tenants out under sect 21. Extremely difficult situation as i now need a place to stay. I regret ever renting it out. Ill have to purchase a studio flat if possible but will be taxed on it though.
    I won't pursue tenant anymore as it's stressful and i don't want to do something stupid out of anger even though it would give so much gratification. Invest outside of uk as it's suffocating frustrating laws.

    When section 21 is abolished. What will happen to landlords when interest only mortgages come to an end and the landlord cannot sell to pay off the debt and cannot remortgage owing to the landlords age?

  • @jamescaley9942
    @jamescaley9942 Před 2 lety +4

    I don't understand why all tenancies are not periodic after the fixed period. I would bet it is more often the tenant giving notice than the landlord so the tenant benefits more from the flexibility than the landlord.

    • @tonycolbourne7694
      @tonycolbourne7694 Před 2 lety +1

      Easy solution if your target market is short term tenents. Problem is most prefer long term.

  • @silviuchitic162
    @silviuchitic162 Před 2 lety +2

    4:05 or in my case before my first fixed term ended I was told I either sign a new fixed with a rent increase or I get section 21 👌Ah the flexibility of renting. Keep in mind the LL just bought the house. Maybe he got annoyed I asked him to fix the roof leak, which I'm not sure he did as the ceiling is still stained.

    Smart landlords would spend around £240 per year on insurance covering you for rent guaratee payments (if the tenant doesn't pay) and legal expenses of upto £1,000,000 to evict the tenants. For around £20 a month you can save Dave's fees coming out of your own pocket and assure your rent payments

    Thanks I'm a disabled amputee tenant in a bungalow in wales, it pays to hear what I'm up against. My mam only gave up her previous tenancy rights at her previous address as a condition that the landlord wanted it as his family home and provide her with residence until my mams death, shes now unfortunately in a dementia home only because there is no auxiliary carers to help me anymore because of covid sackings. I'm a good tenant, no debt,,,,I'm going nowhere when the rent is only £85 a week, he wants to sell up allegedly. Has other rentals. Who needs friends when u have extenuating family like my landlord. His daughter is going out with my estranged sisters son. Whatcha this space. Shelter,,,, citizens advice housing solutions.....

    Please advice. I have a new tenant which started 30/11/2021 but today 01/02/2021 I have found out my tenant has given false information to Universal credit. So tenant has 3 grown adults but has only declared 1 adult. They have now reduced universal credit payment from £1196 to £532 and tenant not showing intention to pay the balance. Rent is £1595 only paid £398 + the universal credit £532. The system is flawed. Tenant was introduced to me by the council and month 2 already £665 in arrears.
