Joey Sturgis there is nothing "less exciting" about adding in a few slower pans to replace some of the jittery feel of shooting. not all critique is a personal attack to your tastes or skill.

I think one is for rhythm/lofi tones and the other is for leads with delay and reverb. I'm pretty sure he has both tracks armed to record and just automates the volume so you can only hear one at a time. I do the same thing . You can also automate fx parameters to turn them on and off like he was doing with the lofi effect.
Alex well I use Reaper as my DAW, and what I do is hit V to pull up the volume automation, right click the automation window that pops up beneath the track, go to FX parameters, and then select whatever effect parameter I want to automate
And still my toneforge jasom richardson sounds like fart. No matter what settings, tutorials or Irs i use. I love menance but toneforge jr just doesn't sound good in any setting for me. (tested with different interfaces, di boxes and guitars)
If you haven't seen the most recent NTM (the Asking Alexandria one) then I'd recommend watching that. If you aren't signed up I can summarise. Taylor explains that the plugin was designed to be a digital recreation of his raw tone off the mic on the cabinet i.e. unmixed. When Taylor captures guitars he mics with a hell of a lot of low end as he feels it affects how the high end sounds even when he filters out the lows and boosts the highs (he filters at 140ish and boosts a lot of 8k generally). So if you want the plugin to sound mix appropriate you do need to process it otherwise it'll be, as you say, like fart.
I enjoy JR playing and making cool noises but I just can't understand it as far as complex rythems and complex solos my mind doesn't fully understand all the crazy tapping why does it sound the way it does I know he is good but really wtf I can jam to animals as leaders obscura even sahrah longfield and scale the summit but this is too Dvanced
