- We've not ventured into the unboxing corner of the internet yet until now, and where better to start than with a shiny new helmet?
The Arai UK distributor has sent John Marcar its benchmark-setting sports and racing helmet, and in this video, John will explain why he's happy to be putting it to the test for his 2024 motorcycle reviews.

I’ve tried Shoei, AGV, Scorpion, and Nolan, but nothing tops Arai for comfort. I’ve made the mistake of not buying Arai helmets before and always regretted my decision.
Think I’ll stick with Arai for life now.
That's awesome - I feel exactly the same. Team Arai for life! - John
I got an Astro Spencer rep when Arai first came to the UK in 84, I've never worn any other make since, I'm made up with my new RX7 Evo.
Just got a new one of these from Helmet City for £249.99 delivered!
£540 quid off 😮 bargain of the year 🎉
After I have seen some videos about mentality of Arai, I was like - ok I want to support them, and get pretty good helmet. Unfortunately price is really high. But, i was lucky, I managed to get RX-7V Evo in a sale last Saturday, for ~670€. It's in a color combination which wasn't very popular, but it's not horrible. Looking forward on time when I test it on track.
Sounds like you got lucky! We think they're well worth the money, especially after having tested other brands at varying prices.
This helmet is good for BMW C400GT urban use
I like it
£461 is a really good price for this helmet.
Absolutely right. Especially when you consider the build quality and ethos behind the company.
How do you like the color?
Love the colour, historically, I've always preferred a matte/satin finish, but this time I'm quite pleased with the metallic diamond black finish.
Professional racers wear fully carbon fiber helmets, don’t they?
Some racers use carbon fibre, yes, but many still prefer the stronger resin-structured helmets. Arai also produces carbon versions of the RX7V, which are equally available to pro racers and casual riders.
