The scene with Maddie flinging the briefcase at David, was when they actually started arguing for real, it got a bit too heated, so that was cybill doing that not her character. :)

And in real life during Moonlighting they hated each other or they had a hard time working together.
They didn't really hate each other, that was the entire problem. However watch some bloopers..you can see they got along as well. It was just very difficult on the set..they had long days and alot of difficulties happening behind the scenes which led to them arguing sometimes..but they made up years later.
I didn’t know John McClane was in a romantic love hate relationship with Shawn Spencer’s mom. Crazy, this must have been back when Henry was playing 3rd base for the Cleveland Indians.
