Was a greenfield airport considered on the west side of Lahore? So that its easily approachable via motorway as well. Current airport as in a congested location.
Beside the fact that who I support, the construction has started but its way to slow. I visited the airport a few days ago and not even the new parking is built or near to completion so how the hell will they finish such a massive building in 2 years? They say they will open it in 2020, but the present rate on which they are working, seems that it will be completed in 2030. And its not an exaggeration, we all know the construction of Islamabad Airport started in 2007 and it opened a few days ago.
