It reminds me her childhood rendering. What a wonderful tune, full of 'Sur' Tal Loy voice throwing and exposition of the Raga and theme. She has reached to her desired height. I salute her struggle and those who helped her attaining such a stature. Her parents are always pranamya.

This is a beautiful composition by Pandit DT Joshi, a disciple of Ustad Faiyaz Khan. Sm Subhra Guha belong to the same Gharana. This song has incidentally been used in the Bengali movie "Antony Firingee". There is another exceptionally brilliant composition by Pandit Harish Chandra Bali, another disciple of Ustad Faiyaz Khan. Someone played it on Sitar and naturally I am unaware of the lyrics. Can anyone enlighten me?

I've been on the Canadian side of the Niagra Falls - when I was a kid. 8 P
If I won the lottery - what would be my first overseas trip? It might well be India! Certainly wouldn't be Yorkshire. : )
As for how the image resonates with the music - both are exotic and about the evening! : D

This is beautiful. Could someone please share the lyrics in English?

PS There really is something about this picture (because I'm 'emotionally involved' with this flower shot that I actually like) and the music.

That does it. You're going to India. I think it's calling you.

Mark dearest, I've never been out of the states, have you? India is not even close to my first choice. Is it yours?

It works but I'm not a fan of the vocals. Do like me some sitar, tho;)
