Thank you very much for approaching this subject with intellectual honesty. Many MANY so called "teachers" have refused the evidence and tried their hand at the mental gymnastics required to deny what the Bible really says in favor of defending the interpretive traditions handed down to them by their forefathers.

Yes, furthermore, I like how this man has compared this Genesis 6 phenomenon with the pagan stories of the Greek gods cohabitation with humans producing the pantheon of demigods from the Greek culture which predates all of the Biblical accounts, however, on the flip side, the Book of Job is among the oldest books in the Bible, so I wonder......is the comparing of the Greek myths to the Genesis 6 account a legitimate possibility?
I'm not enough of an expert on the matter, however, when taken together, it leads us all to a notion of a distinct hierarchy in the Spiritual realm of gods under a Supreme God.....
For now, I will just stick to scripture because there is safety in scripture, and keep my faith solely in Yahweh and his Messiah, Yeshua.

Yes......a friend of mine, a very elderly man, grew up as an orphan, and would literally cry his eyes out when he got saved and was accepted into the body of Christ, for him, he finally had a family, and he referred to God as his "daddy"

Luke 24:39 spirit has no flesh and bones🙏 Hebrews 1:5 Angels are not called Son of God Hebrews 1:14 Angels are ministering Spirits🙏 The Sons of God are the children of Seth if you look at the context Genesis 4 introduces the daughters of Cain Ada that means she adorned herself ( make up jewelry) Zillah means tingling of the ear her ( danced) Naaman means pleasant and delightful. The sons of Seth were attracted to the women of men because they were attractive women that put on makeup and wore jewelry and would shake to the music. The devil tried to corrupt the seed of the coming Messiah. Satan tried the same thing again with the men of Israel and the Moab women in Numbers 25: 1-18🙏

You don't get GIANTS from two regular human family lines coming together 🤦🏻♂️ the sons of Seth view came about long after Yeshuah's resurrection (in the 2nd century)... No one that wrote the Bible or lived in Bible times believed that view
Excellent, thank you for the biblical understanding of this passage. God never allowed, nor do angels have, the right, the purpose or the blessing of God to procreate. People should not dwell on this subject because it causes division among people and I believe that is the very purpose of satan himself. It is interesting to see others views, but should not be debated with our personal relationship with our God and Maker and our salvation weighing in the balance of which author we favor. Joshua 24:15.
Spirit can clearly take up flesh. The angels that went to Lot were disguised as humans, in the flesh. They were able to touch and be touched. They even ate food with Abraham! Angels have the power to be physical or ethereal.

It is important to realize that although God sometimes does call angels His sons (Job 38:7), the Genesis 6 description of "sons of God" cannot be referring to angels, because angels were created as spirit beings. Each angel was brought into individual existence, complete, without the need or the ability to reproduce. As spirit beings, angels cannot mate with human beings. We know this from Jesus Christ’s own words, describing what happens when mortal human beings are born as spirit beings at the resurrection: "And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection’" (Luke 20:34-36; cf. Matthew 22:30; Mark 12:25). Only God the Son, who has all creative power, has ever crossed the gap between spirit and flesh, which He did when being born as Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:7).

*1 day in Heaven where Father is seated, is 1,000 years here on Earth.
*God created 6 days of work = reflection of 6,000 years for mankind.
*1k reign of Jesus to come = is The Sabbath of the 1 day in Heaven 1,000 years for mankind here on Earth.

Yeah, AFTER Christ's sacrifice and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Not once in the OT are the Jews called sons of God. Paul specifically says we are ADOPTED, joint Heirs through Christ.
@@cryptojihadi265what you should do is stop looking at the Bible as old and New Testament. Abraham had Faith in the day of Christ and was deemed righteous. Enoch walked with God and was received. These are sons of God clear definition was pointed out but now you added on to it.

I really appreciate your thorough study into this topic. I respectfully disagree. Coupled with Matthew 22:30 is also John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit". You are correct, angels did not maintain their assigned abode which took place in the initial satanic rebellion when Satan and his demons were cast back down to earth. Like the plants created by God with seed to reproduce after its kind so is man. The angels never had this bestowed upon them. I do admire all the truths that God has revealed to you. This has been what I have believed for a while. Romans 8 is what had concretize this belief for me. Sons of God have a certain physical manifestation that is not subject to the passions and vanity of this flesh that we don.

The difference between angels and Jesus in the scripture you quoted is that Jesus is begotten, the angels are not begotten though they are sons. Remember 'begotteness' has to do with, of the same source material (definition from the Greek). Angels don't carry the same genetic makeup but Jesus does with God the father

@@stephensmart7654 Hi Brother, Only-Begotten (Monogenes in Greek) takes on special meaning in Scripture. In the regard of Jesus, it means that there was no genetic connection with a human father. (Jesus would have resembled Mary in a unique way!!!) Joseph, Jesus’ Foster-father, likely knew this child would not resemble him and could result in danger to Mary’s reputation if not life! Monogenes is a one word commentary on Jesus’ Diety and unique dual nature “Son of God” yet “Son of Man” (Romans 1:3&4) Jehovah’s Witnesses will quickly point out that Monogenes is also used in the relationship of Abraham and Isaac. They fail to recognize that Ishmael was born before Isaac, and was not God’s promised one prophesied, “Sarah shall have a son”! That uniqueness begins the genealogy found in Matthew 1:1 marking the human lineage of from Abraham to David. Luke gives the generations of Mary; where Matthew’s list is that of Joseph and contains (after David) the line through Nathan rather than Solomon and excludes Joseph as a genetic factor. Amazing!!!

So what your saying is God the creator of life, shared with the humans, animals and demons the same abilities to create life, why would God give a demon what some would interpret as a blessing, the ability to create life, especially after they were kicked out of heaven ??
That's why the ones who did procreate with humans, were cast into Tartarus, which is the pit. Satan and most of his fallen angels are still around roaming the earth, creating their havoc, but those angels who disobeyed a very direct order, paid a very severe consequence. But notice, in Revelations, the pit, or abyss is opened up, and these horrific angelic beings are released and REALLY bad things happen.
Note, CERN has the Hindu God Shiva which is the God of destruction and chaos, or Abaddon in Greek, the destroyer. So, most of what happens in Revelation is actually man's doing. CERN is no doubt trying to access the extra dimensions to bring this about. Which is why it says as in the days of Noah, so it shall be in the end times.
Cain's line was wiped out in the flood so the only way for the Nephilim to continue after the flood is for them to be the offspring of fallen angels and man, not the offspring of Cain and Seth. But it was after the fallen angels continued to sin by forsaking their abode and mating with the daughters of men, that God had to lock them up in the pit.
Not only that, but angels are spirit (Heb 1:14). They can take on human 👉🏼form👈🏼 to accomplish a task but I don’t think this “form” came equipped with all the extra paraphernalia….

I appreciate your insights. Our church here in Salzburg, Austria is right now going through Genesis verse by verse preaching and weekly Bible studies. We are fully engaged in this book. Having also read many comments here, I have to admit this: we should be silent if the Bible is silent. Both views on "sons of God" (1. angels, 2. Seth's line) seem very convincing to me. God is not a God of confusion. If God does not clearly mention, it should be enough for us as well.
Adam’s Daughters were taken by the Sons of God (Angels) as wives.

i honestly held to the belief that they were the sons of Seth, until I recently read those verses in job. i didnt know what to do with them. this is a very informative video, it helps bridge a lot of gaps in my understanding of these difficult topics. Thank you Brother Lex, God bless

We have a mayor issue around 2:32 is an assumption of the location of the meeting where the sons of God came to present themselves. There is no mention of a location in Job.

This is a topic that I am curious about. While i agree that everywhere sons of God is mentioned in the old testament. It is referring to divine beings what challenges me is the idea of spiritual beings mating with humans to produce offspring. The only other time where a Spiritual being and a human produces an offspring is Jesus (or Yeshua). Would the humans that the angels mated with be considered virgins? What is to stop evil spiritual beings from producing offspring today?

The term used in Greek is "monogenes" which denotes uniqueness. Issac was Abraham's (only begotten son) "monogenes" in the book of Hebrews, yet Ishmael existed before Isaac.
In the same way, Jesus is the unique son of God. With all the sons of God that exist there is one who exists, who is above every name, every knee should now and every tongue confess!

Angels falling happens once, and it's in the future.
Satan's "fall" of grace is correlated with man's, he was created perfect according to Ezekiel 28. All God have created He found good. Remember.
The fallen angels of Genesis 6 came down on a divine mission, that of Watchers of mankind. They were not kicked out of heaven. But they got corrupted by the women beauty and lost their minds and made the unpardonable : mating with another kind. Which is a wicked sin, for angels are not even meant to reproduce, and they were dealt with so severly Archangel Michael said no creation will dare do such thing again. That's 1 Enoch, that is quoted by Jude and Peter.
This very act brought judgement to whole earth because of the imbalance it created.
Angel falling IS not Happening on a regular basis, only once in the future, will they be kicked down to earth with Satan, and maje sure the earth won't do well in those days.

This also ties in with the experience of the Canaanites who also were so wicked that they too had union with demons and produced giants. At the core of the wickedness of the antediluvians and the Canaanites and why God destroyed them entirely (or wanted to) was they became so deep into the occult that demons were now comfortable in crossing over into our world. This then magnified the evil in those societies.

Us here refers to the other Two Persons of God: Jesus and Holy Spirit.

But Them being together in harmony as One is God, so there is One God, not Three Gods. Christianity worships One God.

So Jesus, Adam, and Eve being together in harmony as one is _human,_ there was one human (marriage), not three humans (marriages.)

That's why God hates divorce. It means you are no longer being human. No longer be like God. Or in God's language, divorce equals death (separated from God = separated from your source of life).

You do a really good hermeneutics
An important point. The text is not clear if the giants are the children the Sons of God and daughters of men, or if the giants are contemporary with the Sons of God taking the daughters of men.
The Giants Nephilim (giant fallen or falling ones) could be the dinosaurs who were before the flood; and contemporary with the Genesis 6 context! It doesn’t say that they were the offspring! The offspring were “Mighty men of renown” obviously not good! Perhaps like the offspring of “Sons of God” today taking daughters of unbelievers as wives. This may be easier to understand than it appears!!! hmmm 🤔

Mighty god was stipulated when discussing John 1:1. However, because a mighty god is not God Almighty, Isaiah 9:6 actually proves that Jesus is not God.
Eternal Father is what Adam would have become for all humanity. As the messiah, Jesus offered his life as substitute for Adam's life (Romans 5:12-19). Jesus then will be called the Eternal Father. Abraham's descendants being as numerous as dust particles (Genesis 13:16) is because Jesus becomes humanity's second Adam (and because Jesus was spliced into Abraham's line as his seed).

If the Sons of God are angels, then (according to Gen. 6:4) angels have reproductive organs and can produce children. It follows then that the angels would also have to be made of the same earthly materials (dirt) that we are made of. Yet Jesus says in Luke 20:6 that angels never die. All the earthly elements are running down, transitioning from a greater form to a lesser form.
Angels neither marry nor are they given in marriage (Mt. 22:30). So, are we to conclude that angels are having children in heaven out of wedlock? To me, this throws a good bit of doubt into this interpretation. Perhaps the correct interpretation will only be known on the other side.
Angels have spiritual bodies, but based on the OT accounts, they seem to be able to change their appearance and appear as men. Abraham fed the three angels that appeared to him. Jesus ate after he was resurrected.

I appreciate the video creator's stance upon the sufficiency of scriptures and many others offering similar comments. I think a little intellectual honesty is lacking here though. We readily appeal to ancient customs, cultural practices, commentaries, and extra biblical sources/ insights to understand the scriptures. For example, we do this to help explain the issue of slavery in the Bible, the silencing of women in Ephesus and Corinth, etc., We also appeal to outside sources to understand the great ancient mystery cults, such as Canaanite worship practices and Artemis worship in Ancient Ephesus (Acts 19). We appeal to science, geology, and near east records of an ancient flood (epic of Gilgamesh, etc.,) when examining the Genesis account about Noah's flood. The list goes on and on..
Some of the early Christians who believed in angelic creatures cohabitating with women were well known. We are deeply indebted to them. Among them were Tertullian, Irenaeus, and Augustine. I guess Saint Augustine, the father of Reformed theology, would be a "so called teacher" in the eyes of some here.

Also, "sons of God" is a biblical term that is biblically defined: Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

So the onus is on the speaker to show from the Bible that Jesus wasn't speaking about fallen angels, and that the sons of God who took wives in Genesis 6 were, in fact, being led by the Spirit of God, at least up to that point in time.

Genesis 6, says that there were giants before and after the flood. Angels did not continue sleeping with humans after the flood. When the Lineage of Seth and Cain mixed men of renown were born. The sons of God here are the stars, the heavenly luminaries. The sun and the moon. They sang by shining their light. It is used as a metaphor. God is the father of lights.

Verse 7 here says that all the morning stars sang together when YHWH laid the foundation of the earth.
So Satan being one of the sons of God is referred to as a morning star in Isaiah 14:12.
If you want to learn more about these things then you should definitely read Dr Michael Heiser's book "Supernatural" and then the bigger book "The Unseen Realm".
The ridiculous mental gymnastics people go through to try to deny that the sons of God were exactly that, is beyond absurd.
First, the idea that the sons of God were the descendants of Seth, because they were "God followers" is blatantly false, as by the time Noah came around, there were a whopping EIGHT people that were Godly enough to be saved. @deydrm I think chuck missler coverd Daniel 11 and going back to Genesis 6 , chucks teaches that the sons of God is a direct creation of God, that includes angels and also Adam. We're not as we came from Adam and born of our mother's. Only when we are born again Christians than we became sons of God because of our new birth by God the HOLY SPIRIT. Romans 8 , 14 - 17, 1 John 3, 1 - 2. I agree with mostly of what your saying, only that chuck missler coverd Genesis to revelation, other prophecy teachers I listened to are Bill Salus, Hal Lindsay and David Jeremiah just to name a few. @@Cking64 I downloaded most of Missler's teachings. Many years ago I listened to them. I became a Christian in 78. The church I went to was new,only about 60 people,it was Calvary Chapel Whittier. Then the split came,and my church became The Vineyard Christian Fellowship. I listened to Chuck Smith,Hal Lindsey, Jack Van Impe,and a few other's,and then Chuck Missler started teaching at Calvary Costa Mesa,Chuck Smiths church. I loved Missler. He gave an historical background and set context like no other teacher I knew. And he was technical,of course,with an engineering degree,he brought a lot of science into his teachings. I love that. I studied at Calvary Chapel North park San Diego for a year,in their school for evangelism. So I did learn Greek and Hebrew exegesis (basics),and biblical hermeneutics. As well as other things,historical doctrinal development,church fathers,etc..
I have a unique background and experience in Christianity that I really wish more people had. I have studied alot of theology,done apologetics online for years now, with Christians,atheist,and Mormons,Jw's etc. But, I have that pentecostal/charismatic background and experience. I've seen miracles,signs,and wonders. I given words of knowledge,not many or often,as well as received and given prophecies. i've had a few visions and dreams as well. Some have come true,others I'm still waiting to see. i've been involved in casting out a demon before as well. Now most intellectual Christians I've engaged with have no experiences in the power of the Holy Spirit. And that's sad. Even more so,they have almost no interest in evangelizing,and that;s not good.
In fact,alot of them don't believe in the gifts or anointing of the Spirit.
Now I hope you do,or at least some experiences you can testify to. If you don't,all you have to do is ask. it's that simple. But you have to step out in faith and take risk. And spend alot of time in prayer,especially for others.Thats also something that the intellectual crowd I've encountered,don't practice.

When Jesus wrote an accusation with the finger of God, he could easily have written mene mene tekel upharsin. There was no one there with a position to judge and pronounce a sentence or carry it out. A son of God can know what is in the woman's heart. He has the authority to judge and to forgive. He has a grace of holding in his hand the forgiveness of a good Father who has forgiveness before the offense is commited. (The only One is good.)

Much of my doubts come from the Hebrew word used in Genessis; Elohiym. Going back to the very root-words; Elohiym is composed of, *EL* meaning _"one of authority,"_ and *ohiym* meaning; _"and with many powers."_
As such; it _can_ mean God _(the father),_ but it _can also_ mean a king, a judge, a general, or a god _(lower case, and as in "your El is not my El, the true El.)._
In fact; translate the Elohiym in Exodus 7:1, not as _"Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now hear this: I make you as God to Pharaoh..."_ But rather as: _"Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now hear this: I make you as _*_one of authority and with many powers_*_ to Pharaoh..."_ Which of those translations makes more sense? Did the Pharaoh ever worship Moses, and call him a God? Or did Pharaoh just fear Moses's authority... and his many powers?
Exodus 7:1 is why I don't think that *all* _"sons of God"_ are in their correct context of being _"Sons of The Almighty God, our Father in Heaven."_ Obviously, some are, but by the same token, some aren't.

You have to realize that ALL 2nd temple Jews all the way up to approximately 400AD believed this was a supernatural event. Even Jesus had to be born into flesh in order to dwell among us. He did not fall from heaven. The Sadducees members of the Jewish sect did not believe in the resurrection and he proved them wrong when he said I am the resurrection and the life John 11:25.

Yes, the sons of God as defined by scripture are indeed angels, and in this case are fallen angels, namely demons. However, scripture also clearly reveals that while they do not marry they desire to indwell humans to hurt and damage them. Therefore, these demons did not marry nor copulation with women but evil men allowed them to inhabit them and thereby invoked their evil deeds upon the women these demon possessed men took as wives.
