Episode 8: Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris - Alma Mater of Literary Giant Victor Hugo
In this week’s episode, President Way Kuo of City University of Hong Kong will visit a well-known secondary school with more than 400 years of history in Paris, Lycée Louis-le-Grand. The school has produced many outstanding graduates who have not only impacted the course of French history but also significantly influenced human civilisation. Among those graduates are philosophers Voltaire and Denis Diderot, literary giants Molière and Victor Hugo, and many others. The school is also the alma mater of three French presidents, nine prime ministers and eight Nobel laureates.
