Mikheyev has to sit in place of Hoglander
Hronek needed to play the puck and eat the hit from Kane. Instead he heard footsteps, tried to brace for the hit, gets crushed anyways and loses the puck.
Agreed. He’s been really bad in the last couple games, and not impactful overall throughout the playoffs

As Tocchet said in post game, that goal was 5 different mistakes by different players that resulted in the goal

Why was Hronek out for the game winner instead of Myers.
I go back to my original question from 2023 why did we even make that Trade for Hronek ?
Disappointed with the puck watching after they tied it. The goalie wasn't even pulled yet they defended like a man short
Put Pettersson with Hoglander and give our coveted future sniper Lekkerimaki a shot of experiencing playoff hockey and who knows better than a no show Mikheyev not producing.
Before you write of Hronek , I want to hear what he’s playing with. To me he has a should, arm or wrist injury that is causing him to fumble the puck , not shoot hard and avoid contact.
They cannot re-sign Hronek if he keeps playing like this. He’s been really bad from the eye-test
Hronek is playing hurt.
I believe this game will be a learning lesson to close out this series. They will make adjustments like they have all series. It’s a wake up call. Rick calling out players, enough is enough. Close this out

This team needs some scoring and there's actually only ONE proven goalscorer that this franchise can bring in. Give SHeldon Dries a chance he's got skills folks he had 11 goals last year on 4th line minutes
Silovs is not in anyone's head. That last goal was awful. He's been saved by numerous posts. He's played fine. He's absolutely not standing on his head.

Pettersson sure picked a horrible time to get the yips and forget how to do what he does. He's a spectator at this point. You can tell when he gets the puck on his stick he can't wait to get rid of it like a hot potato. Our poweplay was pathetic too.
Tocchet has to reunite the Lotto Line and maybe get Pettersson going
Pettersson is not skating well. He seems to be avoiding using his legs. He seems to be shooting from the upper body only.

Something has to be done to get petterson rolling thats the limiting factor here
Pettersen has been an empty suit and should be stripped of his "A", he's shown no leadership skills, let alone any will to get into the fight. They should give the "A" to Garland or Brock. They should have waited on his contract until after the post season. I'd have preferred paying less money for another Miller or Lindholm, and keeping Lindholm, Big Z and Joshua. EP40 just is not built for the playoffs.

It's laughable canucks fans keep saying "have you seen who Pettersson is playing with?" It appears he hasn't made his linemates any better lol. Pettersson isn't able to drive his line. Stop making excuses. Unfortunately the Canucks paid him too much and that is the end of story.

Man that's the worst first period I've period the Canucks played all playoffs by far. Bad passes losing the puck at the Oilers blue line and not being able to hold the puck in the Offensive zone, some bad icings again that shouldn't have happened and a horrible, absolutely horrible power play and huge missed opportunity on a 4 minute double minor.

Sign Zadorov and trade Hronek for whatever draft capital you can get
The Pickard respect is hilarious both goal were lucky deflections even sivlovs couldn’t save those and he got the win it’s all that matters
He didn't have to work that hard for first two periods and was sweating like crazy in the post interview too bad Canucks made him work more. Missed opportunity.

Experts never gave Vancouver a chance in hell of defeating the Mighty McDavid and the Stanley Cup favoured Oilers. But Vancouver is giving Edmonton a scare and if the Canucks play a full 60 minutes they win this in 6.
You could say the same for edmonton in terms of playing a full 60 though. If both teams played a full 60 the oilers are more likely to win as well based off of the last 4 games. Only problem has been their goaltending and vancouvers only strength appears to be their goaltending.
Oilers fan here. Silovs should demand $5.5 million a year this summer for 2 years to walk him to UFA. How can Canucks managent say no 😮

It is scaring to see that an elite player like Petterson has lost his ability and confidence to score or even make plays for the past 2 months. It has carried over to the playoffs, the most important time. If he plays well, he gets good linemates. Bit he is not and he can only blame himself for not figuring himself out. This occurrence happened too early last season. If he is not injured, then what is wrong with him, his mind? One thing though Petey never expressed accountability on himself like a JT Miller, criticizing himself when he is not playing well. Oh well, try my best. Freaking hard to bear on a weak *Superstar". It is sad to see Petey has regressed like a retiring hockey player. He is not even confident on the PP with no play making abilities anymore. Top 10 players in the league do not become passengers for too long, be it in the playoffs. The Canucks desperately need him to step up and lead the team like a world class player can. Such a fragile player that Tocc finally admitted frustration with after being so patient with him. As part of the Canuck fan base, I have to express our feelings that Petey has to come out of this meditating state now!

He is injured, at least that is the story I heard, either shoulder or rib injury .. watch the tape from them his performance dropped. They are not disclosing it as they don’t want the opponents to pile up on him.
@@Calicalicalicat If Petey is injured for god knows how long, he should have stay out and recuperate like Lindholm so he is healthy enough for the playoffs. That is not an excuse. He has ample time as he had been exactly like that for the past 2 months. He is dragging the team down with him if he did not try to get healthy before the 0kayoffs began. It is inexcusable!
