Hey Jason, its 2023 and it’s not easier.
Rest in peace brother. ❤️
it's 2020 and it's not easier now. RIP JASON.
Please don't delete this video from youtube. Pass it on to others who can keep it available. I keep coming back to this and I know others do too. great songs
I didn’t know about Jason and his music until after his death. He was a great song writer & musician & probably a fine person with a dependency on alcohol. What a sad story, dying alone & lonely in Indianapolis, Indiana. A lot of his songs made me feel he was searching for something he could never find. May The Lord rest his soul.
The fact that we lost this man makes me cry often.
I wish we had more info on his last days in Indianapolis, the lonely town house on Muskett Street.
@@connordebruler3264 Secretly Canadian put out a request for cash. I don't think there was enough we could give.
I played in a shitty band in Australia who scored first on slot for Jason, I walked off stage and there he was waiting for a chat. A gentleman for bothering. Legend.
Respect from aust!
what band??
I wish I could of seen you in a live performance my friend; but thanks to God there are some recordings left that allows us to share these emotions with you.
Rest in Peace.
MISS U BROTHER!!
The first song is called: "It's Easier Now"
It's from Molina's solo record: "Let Me Go, Let Me Go, Let Me Go" from 2006.
Amazing stuff!! Thanks for sharing!
Get well soon Jason. You're fantastic.
Fucking beautiful.
Have no words for this.
Chi conosce la musica di Jason Molina ,sa quanto cazzo era immenso!
I love all of his songs...
Good men leave us soon. I had not seen this video. It is so great
Ten Years gone tomorrow.
he will be missed!
1. It's Easier Now
2. O Punishment
3. Rider.Shadow.Wolf
The last song isn't Rider.Shadow.Wolf, that's a different song.
quite the voice
Because most artists (and also most prophets) only become popular after they're dead.
Thanks for posting this. I’ve been a fan for a while, and this performance was something I hadn’t seen.
Maybe he was always singing about his death. And maybe that's why we always loved him. It's something we definitely all have in common.
He knew death and suffering every day and the only way he knew to deal with it was with music, and with drink
A presto, Sara
This segment hits a little harder these days....
R.I.P.
So sad x
What is the latest on Jason? I would love to see him as he is one of the most amazing voices and song writers to hit the earth in, well, forever...
He ded.
What guitar is this? Great songs and voice
@jeffreymfields no idea what it is, but that third song most certainly isn't Rider.Shadow.Wolf
@elpitiuso I've always heard the similarities too.
So much pain. I was a fan of Jason before his death but I always suspected that he was not going to die old like Leonard Cohen, but young like Townes van Zandt. And so it was. Sigh.
Farewell
You pose an interesting, perplexing question bco440.
Is the second track O Punishment on an album or single of his? , I love it but I've only managed to find a live version played on electric guitar, it's just not the same.
Madison Taylor its on the Josephine bonus disc, enjoy!
Name of the second song???? Been looking for a month straight!
O punishment
@@adammorton3424 hi. I have been looking for that name on pretty much any platform. That song is like non-existent.
He didn't, did he? :(
it's easier now.
As went the Buckleys, great voices gone too soon, too sad.
Well, I'll give you Tim
saddest.
Is there anyone who isn't influenced by Neil Young (post 69)?
The Fall? The Television Personalities? Wire? I can't give you Gang of 4, as Andy Gill said the last notes of Southern Man inspired his guitar style.
he dieded
Not Jason's best lyrics.
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
